At first I didn't know what exactly to make of this site or how to use it. Now that I am familiar with it I love it. This way I can monitor my SoundCloud followers and see what A-holes follow people just for a follow back and then unfollow expecting them not to see it.
No respect for cheaters and liars. Much respect for this site!

The only problem I really have with it (even though it's free to use) is that the UI seems a little out-dated and if you stay logged in, when I go back to the site it gives an error page so you have to log out and then log back in. No biggie, but still a small annoyance. Which is why I give it a 4-star rating instead of 5-stars*

I hope this website/service/company succeeds. They are providing a very helpful service!

Tip for consumers:
Try it out, it's great!

I'm not too big into what you could call "raver gear" or "gamer gear", but I do like artistic/abstract designs. This company has found a fair middle ground and seems to have something for almost everybody at this point.
One thing I really like is their "flash sales" where hats can be swooped up for 15-20 bucks. And they are surprisingly good quality.

Some hat companies like Findlay Force (which I don't recommend.) will push out hats that have "wavy" messed up bills and they blame it on their sublimation process (how they get the design on). Well, this company doesn't have this problem and makes me believe they actually care about the quality of the products they put out.
I have purchased 1 shirt and 3 hats from them and I am 100% satisfied.

The hats fit nicely and their shirts are super comfortable.

Tip for consumers:
Flash sales will save you money. Subscribe to their email to be informed of them. They don't last long!

  • GoPro

5/8/19

Update: I bought my Hero4 when they were brand new for $700 when they first came out. I thought it was worth it because of the 4k capabilities. Well... That was the most money I've ever straight-up wasted on a product because after owning it for a few years, it no longer charges or turns on. I have tried multiple batteries and tried to downgrade the firmware as people have mentioned. But I can't even get it to turn on to do that.
I must say, I HATE GoPro now. The company generates profit off of "legal scams". Just like Apple.

Is the fish eye lens the only reason people continue to buy these? GoPro is one of the most profitable companies... Probably because they manufacture a ton of crap products in China and mark them up 100x and just have a name brand that everyone wrongly trusts.
*cough* Apple.
I was included here. I bought the Hero 5 black when it first came out for the ridiculous price of $700 because it had 4k and I thought it would be worth it... I was poorly mistaken. After taking my first video and plugging it directly into my 4k TV (which requires a special, expensive, GoPro exclusive adapter) the 4k was choppy/granular and seemed like the first 15 seconds or so of video every time you press play has to buffer.
Also, after having it for just over a month, I placed it in one of the cases, locked it, opened it later and the housing was cracked... I payed $700 for this fragile POS? God, I'm stupid!
Besides that, the battery life has always been pathetic. But guess what? You can always buy another battery for too much money to have as a backup. Oh, also, how about that little LCD screen that you can add on to it for too much money as well that will make your battery last about 30 minutes when recording 4k?

Their business model takes after that of Apple- Make products that you can monopolize a market with and then make them low-quality, reiterate the same designed year after year and make it seem like a monumental change and charge a fortune for them just because you can. And people keep falling for it because somewhere along the line, they earned the "cream-of-the-crop" title.

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy a GoPro. Go with another brand. You can find knock-offs on Wish for like $50 and they are of comparable quality.

I mean, really, the title says it all. There are plenty of other font sites that don't charge you anywhere near that price. And there's even free font sites that have the same quality fonts at no cost...
And as L T. Mentioned, there aren't any free one's on the site.

I think they might just be banking on "not-so-savvy" people and owning the domain "fonts.com"

Tip for consumers:
If you are looking for free fonts go to dafont.com.

Do not apply for jobs or give any info on this website. It is completely fraudulent! Amazon's real address for jobs is "amazon.jobs" and their starting wages are much lower that what this website represents them as. A red flag is "you can make $500 a day working from home in just a couple hours."

  • Findlay Hats

9/2/18

I had an all around terrible experience with this company. Figured I would leave some reviews on the hats but they never sent me an email to review them and that seems to be the only way to post reviews...(possibly because I made it clear that I was unsatisfied, and they only want 5-star reviews on their website). In the email asking for a rating (of the stickers), it says a one-star review isn't acceptable and to reach out. Even before noticing that, I reached out and asked for replacements because the hats received were sub-par, to say the least... especially for the price: With obvious stitching mess ups and off-centered/ tilted logos and bent bills, etc... I sent pictures and they were happy to replace all of the hats. I sent them back and it took 2 days to get to Findlay and almost 2 weeks to get the replacements. And I live near Portland... When I received the replacements, one of the hats was missing... I looked at the invoice and it said *double checked*. Also, one of the hats they sent back to me was the same one I sent them back. I know this because I took a picture of a glob of glue on the inside top right side of the hidden pocket and when I inspected the hat I compared it to the picture and it was the exact same shape and size... also the bill was still bent the same way it had been when I sent it back. On that note, the bills to all the hats were pretty bent (dip down in the front) probably because they put them in such small boxes. I expressed that when returning them originally but when they sent the replacement hats they decided to cram 3 hats into one box this time... Also the designs on the bills are quite off-centered and bumpy. I was informed that it's because of the sublimation process, however, I have other hats with designs on the bill and they are stitched perfectly and have no bumps/waves/ overhanging material. When asking for replacements, I was told my friend and I would "be taken care of" but the service we received was exactly the opposite. It actually felt spiteful because when you receive a replacement order with one hat completely missing, another being the same one you shipped back, and another being in worse condition that the first one you sent back (in regards to the exact issues you mentioned)... It feels like someone is giving you the bird. In the end, my friend and I both wasted 4 dollars on express shipping and spent almost a month dealing with this terrible service. I'm surprised and super disappointed because the hats in the pictures that people post seem to be way higher quality than the ones we received... both times! 0/10 will never recommend.

Tip for consumers:
Buy your hats elsewhere and save money, while at the same time receiving higher quality products.

They lure you in with the offer of 5 free/ royalty-free pictures, but once you sign up, they make it intentionally hard to cancel your subscription... That auto-renews for $149/m in a week. You can't remove your card info as well*
Also, The library is not very impressive and a lot of pictures aren't cleared for commercial use or even actually royalty-free(especially the high-quality ones). Most of the pictures there aren't very large and the quality is sub-par. So for the price of $149/m, I am flabbergasted.

  • YouTube

Since the "adpocolypse" hit, Some of my favorite channels have moved to different services or slowed down on how much YouTube content they produce because they aren't making nearly as much as they used to. I hope this turns around and creators can be properly compensated for the unique, quality content they provide.
I prefer SoundCloud or Spotify and many other streaming services for music because YouTube runs down your phone battery and uses more data.
The amount of content on YouTube is staggering still!

  • BankOfTheWest

I would call this bank an absolute joke, but it's definitely more nefariously run. Therefore I'm calling it what it is - A legal scam.

I've been sent a lot of CC offers for "spend 1,000 and get 200". I use those cards and get the offer. Done deal, no hassle. Everything is explained properly in the offer letter.
This bank sends you the offer, with wording similar to all the others... HOWEVER, upon receiving the card, you will realize that you probably missed some fine print of having to SET UP A BANK ACCOUNT WITH THEM to even use the card.

There are multiple serious issues with this -

1. The way they set it up, you have to sign up through their app... no website option. The app doesn't work the best so... great approach you stupid bankers.
2. Upon setting up the acct. You will have to do some digging to find their AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED FEES: a "paper statement" fee of $3 for every account, monthly. Automatically turned on... and they like to use double-speak to say they are "green for the planet". If that were the case you would automatically make things electronic with the option to OPT-IN instead... I want to say this is dumb, but they know what they're doing; BOW is owned by BMO, a major player in the 2008 collapse, and one of the top financiers of Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme. (watch Madoff on Netflix) The only green the care about is money.

The other fee, which really gets me because of their stupid wording and how they have things set up, makes it really feel scammy - Upon signing up, you will see " $10 service fee waived with ANY deposit of 0.01 or more... So you would think, GREAT! Set up auto-transfers of 0.01 to avoid a $10 "save the planet" (lmao) fee. Again, HOWEVER, when you go to set up any kind of AUTOMATIC transfer, it has to be at least $10. And that's how they get you. The difference in the wording of "any DEPOSIT vs. TRANSFER"...

So, to avoid a "service fee" of 10 bucks, you deposit 10. Great, now, they take that $10, and, thanks to new rules of banks needing 0% reserves (thanks COVID), They get to take your $10 and "invest" it (gamble it away on Wall Street by giving it to hedge funds that bet against American companies, effectively destroying our economy and markets from the inside out.

This kind of nefarious, immoral yet legal, business practices are why we can't have nice things anymore. I hope to god this bank becomes nothing more than a bad memory.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
I'm going to go use MidJourney AI to make pictures of banks on fire now.

  • Walmart

6/13/21

I have always had terrible customer service experiences with Walmart as a store. But since their online shop has been competing with Amazon, I decided to purchase a drone through Walmart.com instead of Amazon.
Huge mistake. 3 week endeavor to never receive my package because the 3rd-party seller shipped my package super slow and once it arrived in my town... someone on their end placed a return order. NOT COOL. VERY NOT COOL.

So then I had to call their customer service again, as I decided to get a refund instead of deal with this unprofessional company anymore. It's been over a week and 3 phone calls and Walmart still has my money and is telling me that a gift card cannot be refunded after purchase. Sooo... I can go and use the gift card to buy stuff and then return it and get a refund, but YOU CANT REFUND THE GIFT CARD DIRECTLY? This is asinine.

Huge headache. Will NEVER shop here again.

Tip for consumers:
Go support a small business instead.

When searching for a medical issue. The info was scattered through multiple short pages littered with ads.
Not only that, but you go to click "next" and it doesn't take you to another page, it swaps the "next" button for an ad.

Shady business.

Tip for consumers:
Pick another site.

  • Chase

12/11/19

I left Chase years ago because of terrible business practices. And I recently made another mistake -
I signed up for the new amazon card to save $50 on an order. Well, that worked, but I then was left with minimal information on what to do next. There was never any email confirmation follow up.
I tried to log into the chase website but YOU NEED A FREAKIN CARD NUMBER TO SIGN UP/IN WITH. Which took forever to get to me physically via snail mail... Long enough that by the time I had actually received the card and logged in, I had been charged a late fee (charged $28 and it also affects your credit) and interest on a purchase I had made 2 days prior.

I don't understand why anyone would every bank with this company, let alone leave a positive review.

Tip for consumers:
If you use Chase, you will regret it sooner or later. Probably sooner.

Besides the mass amount of spam email I receive from them, the worst part about this website is how you can't get anywhere without them trying to empty your pockets - Go to upload a song, "file size too big. (greater than 8mb) please upgrade your plan to continue uploading". Or - "we thing your song is worthy of some free promotion, claim it here." Then you proceed to click and fill out pages and pages of garbage, just to get to the last page where you notice that they actually plan to charge you for it. No transparency! It's a setup. Illegitimate. BS.
Side note- I only ever had 1 fan on the platform and I'm pretty sure it was a troll.
I could go on for days about how useless this website is, but everyone else's comments pretty much sum it up. Don't waste your time like I did!

  • Newegg

11/7/18

Now with websites like Amazon offering 2-day free shipping with Prime, I rarely go to Newegg. When I do, I catch myself waiting long periods of time for my parts to arrive seperately.
They have a great, extensive catalog. However, the time you have to wait for parts+ price of shipping+ price of parts not always being the lowest... it seems like a very basic service these days.

Tip for consumers:
Be patient.

  • SoundCloud

8/29/17

The best way to get your music heard (especially for free). Or at least a great starting point. Other sites like "reverbnation" or "bandcamp" just don't seem to have the volume that SC does. Although those sites have their own specialties, SC is at the top of the music streaming game. I prefer it over those and spotify because it is the easiest way to find other underground artists and form relationships that both parties can benefit from.

Wix
  • Wix

7/15/17

Use WordPress instead. More responsive and aesthetically pleasing. Wix seems cheaper at first but the deeper you dig, you realize it will end up being more expensive with hidden costs for plugins. Even then it's not anywhere near as responsive- Wix doesn't look good on tablets... pretty much ever...

  • Netflix

7/15/17

Even though there may be some inconsistencies with loading times or videos sometimes failing to load on certain devices, the service you get for the price cannot be beaten. There is a fair selection on there and it seems to be getting better with more big name titles and Netflix originals.

  • MeUndies

7/15/17

They offer a wide variety of the most comfortable undies you'll probably ever wear. And they don't stop there, they have tops and joggers etc. to choose from as well. They can seem a bit pricey, but after wearing them you won't regret it. ;)

  • Amazon

7/15/17

And I'm loving it. I usually purchase hygiene supplies and electronics from Amazon, but they often have some of the best deals on musical equipment too. Packages arrive in two days so it's not much of a wait. I will probably always be subscribed.
