This site used to be pretty straight forward. You always had to watch out for the redirects/pop-ups, but now they are relentless and the converter doesn't even work anymore...

I know this video converter has bad reviews, but it actually is bad! I tested 2 computers and nothing has helped! It works for a bit then it stops working and says error! The first time it said download error, I had the fastest download speeds!

I have been looking for an online video converter and tried many online tools but many comes with annoying ads and pop and also the quality was not good but online video converter it is ads free, no pop ups and also converts video in many different formats in just a click.

The worst online software ever. It used to give error of BB(idk what it means). Later It had been updated and they remove "more settings" option. Now they updated it again and the option is back.

But now it stucks 0% at "Preparing your conversion...". No video works. It is completely out of service.

Malware, ransomware as soon as you enter a URL to convert & click submit. Avoid using this site at all costs.

Just about every time i use this there is always an error. I will not site until this site again until the issue with constant errors has been resolved.

The site is riddened with bugs, pop-up ads and malware. Sure enough the files aren't viruses, but can redirect to virus sites if you're not careful.

Great to convert my videos to mp3 - downloads fast, free, no installation required, malware is a problem but still 5 stars, I use ad blocker, just close the tab.

I used this site maybe 8 months or so ago and it worked just fine. A few minutes ago (April 19 2018) I went there to convert a new youtube video. The conversion happened like normal. Then I started the download. MacAfee then came up to warn the site was untrustworthy. I then closed the window. Later this evening I came back to the site and again converted the video I was interested in. This time no MacAfee warning at the point of downloading. Unfortunately then a bunch of pop ups began to appear wanting me to download an app. I declined but the pop up kept appearing with further prompts such as "are you sure you want to decline". I couldn't get rid of the prompt even though I declined the app several times and tried x ing out the prompt to close it. Since I refuse to download something strange into my computer the only way I was able to proceed was to turn off my computer and reboot. No idea what's going on or if the site was trying to put malware into my computer but I have no interest in finding out. I won't try to use OnlineVideoConverter ever again.

Put in my YouTube url and it required downloading some kind of "toolbar" that is almost certainly harboring unsavory software. Of course I wouldn't do that so it was utterly worthless.

I received a pop-up offering a free Amazon card by selecting the right "gift box", which I did. After filling out the required information and selecting continue, I was immediately inundated by a barrage of malware phishing. Fortunately, my Kaspersky was able to block it. After running my SUPERanti-spyware it identified hundreds of cookies as well. The video converter is good itself, but for this company to participate with malware phishing companies and hackers, this is not good business.

It does convert video to download from youtube, which is great, but the ads are insane.

The onlinevideoconverter.com website is connected to malware. Users will see the familiar "warning" that their Mac has a virus and the website will offer a solution. I have contacted the website asking them to address this issue and they, of course, ignored the communication. They have a page on Facebook and they censure negative comments there, too.

After 20 or so mins with each file on the first step of preparing it states it has had an error to prepare, tried several different mkv files, waste of time.

I've been using OnlineVideoConverter for a while. Basically to convert online videos to MP3 files. The downside of this site is the bothering commercials that makes it cluttered and the annoying pop-ups that appear sometimes.

I'm finding this site is working much better now (compared to my review of a few months ago), without the 2nd malware loaded screen popping up. There are some videos it says it can't convert - these must be to do with copyright issues they can't afford to challenge. BUT STILL TAKE CARE. They may be lulling you into a false sense of security.

This website used to work like a charm. It was easy to convert video files into mp3 files and did whatever you wanted with ease. But recently I noticed that whenever I'm ready to download my converted file, a new tab opens on my browser that never used to open before. Now, me being the paranoid freak that I am, I have like 3 adblockers and pop-up blockers, so I never actually have to deal with the new tab that opens, but I know right off the bat that whatever the new tab that opens is, it is most likely a virus or malware. I don't really use this website anymore because of this issue, so I will say that if you're going to use it, make sure you have strong adblockers and pop-up blockers on your browser, as well a great anti-virus software installed on your computer to protect yourself. Other than that, you should be good.
