Started downloading videos to my phone and could not move files to memory card. I then downloaded on pc to card, inserted in phone but could not recognize the files. Then tried to edit files but my program detected something wrong every time. All this is strange as the files played fine when used in my pc. Finally, i downloaded the files using another site and all is now well. I assume this company embed something nasty in the videos?

This website used to work like a charm. It was easy to convert video files into mp3 files and did whatever you wanted with ease. But recently I noticed that whenever I'm ready to download my converted file, a new tab opens on my browser that never used to open before. Now, me being the paranoid freak that I am, I have like 3 adblockers and pop-up blockers, so I never actually have to deal with the new tab that opens, but I know right off the bat that whatever the new tab that opens is, it is most likely a virus or malware. I don't really use this website anymore because of this issue, so I will say that if you're going to use it, make sure you have strong adblockers and pop-up blockers on your browser, as well a great anti-virus software installed on your computer to protect yourself. Other than that, you should be good.

The onlinevideoconverter.com website is connected to malware. Users will see the familiar "warning" that their Mac has a virus and the website will offer a solution. I have contacted the website asking them to address this issue and they, of course, ignored the communication. They have a page on Facebook and they censure negative comments there, too.

I received a pop-up offering a free Amazon card by selecting the right "gift box", which I did. After filling out the required information and selecting continue, I was immediately inundated by a barrage of malware phishing. Fortunately, my Kaspersky was able to block it. After running my SUPERanti-spyware it identified hundreds of cookies as well. The video converter is good itself, but for this company to participate with malware phishing companies and hackers, this is not good business.

This site used to be pretty straight forward. You always had to watch out for the redirects/pop-ups, but now they are relentless and the converter doesn't even work anymore...

I used this site maybe 8 months or so ago and it worked just fine. A few minutes ago (April 19 2018) I went there to convert a new youtube video. The conversion happened like normal. Then I started the download. MacAfee then came up to warn the site was untrustworthy. I then closed the window. Later this evening I came back to the site and again converted the video I was interested in. This time no MacAfee warning at the point of downloading. Unfortunately then a bunch of pop ups began to appear wanting me to download an app. I declined but the pop up kept appearing with further prompts such as "are you sure you want to decline". I couldn't get rid of the prompt even though I declined the app several times and tried x ing out the prompt to close it. Since I refuse to download something strange into my computer the only way I was able to proceed was to turn off my computer and reboot. No idea what's going on or if the site was trying to put malware into my computer but I have no interest in finding out. I won't try to use OnlineVideoConverter ever again.

Malware, ransomware as soon as you enter a URL to convert & click submit. Avoid using this site at all costs.
