I've attempted to reinstate the app on different phones, over the past 4-5 years. With the SAME crap results. FLUNK.
Now, they require 'linking' with any store you shop, just to scan and/or redeem receipt points. Really? So now you cannot just simply
Scan your receipts like a normal app. Okay... well that doesn't work for me. Considering the 'linking' part doesn't actually work. Just spins into oblivion and then gives "sorry, we couldn't connect to that server right now" b. S. Total scam or plain buggy, which the developers don't bother to fix. Use Fetch Rewards or Receipt Hog instead.

I joined this site -with much hesitation- because I thought it would be an exponential to broaden my freelancing options. WRONG. I'd barely finished my profile when a 'Lucia' appeared in the message thingy, stating she was my "assigned" recruiter. Whatever the heck that meant. A recruiter on a freelancing site...? Okay... Then reposted me several of those 'welcome' messages, which were basically copy/paste nonsense.
Then daily spam emails to my inbox littering me with proposals that nowhere matched my profile, like software engineering and data science analyst. Even Upwork is better than that crap.

I signed up in Dec, as it seemed a great idea at the time. Considering I'm already on IMDb etc. Get regular casting offers for features and media/internet. But then something changed and I'm suddenly getting spam emails for student/shorts, reality programs, etc. Basically local L. A./NYC based amateur projects, regardless how many times I've wasted tweaking my notices. Which is not okay. Backstage used to be reputable... and now I think they've just gone money-hungry, sending you anything including amateur backyard work. Plain ridiculous.

Tip for consumers:
Only for artists local to NYC, Chicago, LA etc
Very pricey monthly or annual subscriptions

Please note that the reason you're receiving multiple emails and alerts for notices you are not interested in is because you've created multiple saved searches, some of which do not have the filters you want selected. Without specific filters like location and production type filtered out, you'll understandably receive notifications for every notice posted on Backstage.

If you look carefully at your screenshot, that email notification was for a saved search that you created named 'eaglegrad16'. I recommend deleting all of your saved searches and creating a brand new one that encompasses everything you're looking for. I used them fine, for my 2020 and 2021 returns. Now... forget it. Got about 1/4 way through with account vero, from last year. Started editing my employer w-2 info updates, then got booted out... forced to log back in. Suddenly, my user and password won't work. Hmmm... tried the password reset option to log back in. And that didn't work. The site refreshed to ANOTHER password reset request. Um, no, I already did that. Then nowhere on the home page or bottom scroll was there any link to click for help. Huge inefficient waste of my time. I went to Turbo Tax!

Too many technical bugs to bother with. No one manning the wheel this year, so enter at your own risk!

They're no longer the main artery. Their website is garbage. They did away with systems (tech) so their app is useless, outside of making a simple shopping list. Items regularly show as out of stock or in-stock when they aren't. The poor workers get the earful when you can't find anything including a sale item. No option to leave a product review online. Digital coupons and mperks don't work or are down half the time. Place has gone downhill in a handbag.

They're absolute garbage. I signed an acct in early 2021 and kept it paid no balance until Jan when suddenly payments wouldn't credit because of some weird banking route number or what issue. No website asst. Calls to their support forever 'on hold' or never available. So my credit rating tanked a bit. I complained to the BBB and OS responded with an idiot screenshot of a Jan 2022 payment INSTEAD of a legit letter or response. So sorry I EVER signed up. I am so over these clowns soon as I'm paid off.

I installed this simply to download a few old movies I'd found online converted from original VHS format - not available on YouTube, Prime etc. Tried several times and always got a stop error code. Evidently its ONLY compatible with YouTube when it's supposed to be universal. No thanks.

I wished I had searched the open reviews before ordering.
Bought an ergonomic gray padded office chair, Feb 2021. The listing stated that it adjusted up to 30-inches (great for shorter people) The assembly was a breeze. The finished chair was narrow and simple. What I needed as a small person. And that's where it ended. The chair cushion is not comfortable. You need a chair pad for prolonged sitting. And the seat only raises to 24", so I ended up purchasing a huge chair cushion so that I could work at my desk. And the tiny decorative buttons on the sides are cheap plastic that pop right out of their holes. I won't be ordering from them again. And the best part? They removed the option of adding a product review.

They appear the real deal. But many items are cheap chinese made, and mediocre quality ratings.

I just joined the platform a week ago. Set up my PayPal acct. To get paid. Well, a fraud alert recently popped up from my bank for an unauthorized $350 charge from their international website services. My fraud team tried to stop the charge and reverse it... but were unsuccessful... still working on it. PPH are downright crooks that will steal your money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I switched to Metro after dumping Verizon due to crappy network and service. Big mistake. Some friends who were on Metro seemed pleased with their service, so why not. Anything had to be better than Verizon network, right. Wrong. Most days I have 1 signal bar, and the Metro apps DO NOT WORK. Every time wifi calling and Metro registry pops up for me to 'verify' it crashes. And no actual support. Hard pass. As soon as my 30 days are up I'm switching.

I remember when this platform was THE PLACE outside of YouTube for exploring video shorts etc. Now it's gone to garbage. I have a trial membership because I am not getting tanked (screwed) for something that doesn't work. I've attempted several times to upload a dozen or so clips that I assumed would automatically capsulate, the same as standard PC moviemaker. Nope. It uploaded my clips separately, and then keep freezing on me when I tried to "merge" them all into a single video. Such a joke.

I remember when Payless was THEE go-to shoe store in any mall or shopping plaza. You got decent quality shoes on a budget, and they lasted many years. NOT TODAY. They went bankrupt a few years back and are now 'revamping' for 2021. But I should have known better when I visited the website for pair of dress shoes. Most of the options were terrible quality, including the house slippers. Like something you'd find in the free bin, at a garage sale.

I ordered a pair of taupe booties (low heel dress boots) in a size 6M and found it strange that there was no invoice or return shipping anywhere in the box. The shoes fit okay, but the heel did not. It easily slipped in out and around the very wide opening which was hugely disappointing as they are aesthetically pleasing, but not great quality. And returns are NOT FREE, but charge up to $7. So if you paid $18 for your shoes, you may as well cough the loss.

I signed up with Mandy a few months ago. Got my actor (and crew) profiles all situated, including headshots. Then my inbox gets suddenly overloaded with junk "audition gigs" and messages to change my headshots, as "there is something wrong, they are not professional" When they most certainly are! Two different photographers I paid good money to. I click into my profile to see Mandy's notes about "please change your headshots, your profile won't go public until" nonsense. I honestly gave them the benefit. But as Backstage bought them out, I believe I only wasted my valuable time creating my profile. They don't answer when you call for help. And they DO NOT respond to Contact Us.

They are a total mixed bag since Backstage bought them out/merged

What has happened to Guideposts? For over 20 years now they were the top inspirational magazine, just above Readers Digest. Well I went to renew my annual today, and discovered they lowered the 12 month to a 6 month. But same cover price! Talk about ridiculous. And according to other longtime subscribers, this is a most unwelcomed and disappointing switch. What a pity, because it was a terrific magazine.

I had to file a complaint against Anker Technologies for their shoddy business practices during the Covid mess. These are the infamous wireless earbud people. This was June 2021, so fairly recent. BBB sends me system email updates that my "complaint is under review and someone will follow up" Then two other emails stating my complaint is marked 'invalid' because it was a duplicate. WTH. I click the links to see their automated response, including a cheap "apology" from Anker. But no option to proceed. So basically Anker STILL has my money, and I won't hold my breath that I'll ever get it refunded!

What book buyback doesn't offer a Search option in case the ISBN doesn't work? Talk about bomb crazy. Don't waste your time as there are other better, legit book buybacks like Book Scouter and Book Scouter.

I recently tried to conduct some personal research of archived death notices and obituaries. A few of them hitting brick walls of dead or unresponsive links. The Customer Support links also open to bad server or unresponsive pages that are limited to family or DNA search. No actual contact support.

Do not bother. They are unresponsive and too many broken links.

I ordered 4 tee shirts from their designers. 3 movie, and one TV. The 3 movie tee shirts turned out fine. But the TV shirt was poorly done, with the right side of the character's face all lopsided and a very droopy eye. Like Sloth from the Goonies. You bet I returned that one for a full refund. Not sure I will reorder.

I recently attempted to leave a review over an apparel company that sent me defective product and the site kept giving me 'sorry but we are unable to post at this time. Try again later' Regardless how many times I refreshed the screen. And I've never had any problems posting reviews. The Bot session is useless. No one responds. TrustPilot has jumped the shark and now sucks.
