About Me

I tell it like it is. If your site/service/company is trash, I will say so. If it's the greatest thing ever, I will also say so.

How I Can Help

I have an extreme urge to tell the truth. If I don't like something, I'm gonna make sure everyone knows it. If I love something, I will make that known too. I'll tell you my experiences with certain websites. What you choose to do with that information is entirely up to you. ;)

Interests

I love everything. Except raisins. I hate raisins.

Flexible payment plans, and friendly customer service. I would highly recommend this site for any musician with a tight budget and who doesn't wanna deal with any rude employees (ie: Guitar Center lol).
Shop here. You'll thank me later. I promise.

I love this site! It has a lot of very interesting knowledge and pictures. Really an intriguing site.

I love your deals. I got so many no-brainer deals thru your site & use the products I got every day. And then you have a rewards program on top of it! It's amazing & very convenient for the casual poor musician. Because of you I got some very high class audio software now that I love using every day. Seriously. Thank you, Pluginboutique.com & good karma to you. :)

I love this store. It is like the oasis in a land stricken by poverty. Their frozen food is super gross but they have some really nice things elsewhere in that store. Everything is $1, as you may or may not know. So how can you go wrong?

These guys are something else. Not only do they have competitive prices here & there but they assign you a personal sales engineer when you sign up. You don't have to talk to them when you wanna buy something... you can talk to them about music production, or you can just shoot the hay with them about anything at all (As long as it's appropriate, of course. Don't call them up & be like "Gee this hemorrhoid is really kicking my butt right now!")
Also they send you candy with every order. And my personal sales engineer actually emails me every month to see how everything is going. Honestly, my own family doesn't even do that. Nobody does that. Nuff said. Check these guys out.

  • Lunss

3/22/18

Site Jabber user Lesly M. Had requested a review of this site. So I decided to investigate. Here is what I found.

Lunss appears to be fully legit. I have seen plenty of users who loved their dresses bought from Lunss. They offer a variety of payment options, and also have a customer service line that is easily accessible. Their trustpilot score is 7.1/10 (one unhappy customer can be seen complaining that the dress was too small while the other reviewers gave 5 stars). Even a reddit user has shown pictures of her wearing her dress and how excited she was.
The prices also don't look "too good to be true". They are within reason. They do take a while to ship. Even if you pay an extra $70 or so to rush it, it will still take nearly 3 weeks to arrive at your location. So if you're going to order it, make sure your prom/wedding/pageant/etc is at least 8-10 weeks from now. Don't wait until the event is like 2 weeks from now before you buy from here. It will take almost a month before it even gets to you. But that's because each product is apparently handmade. They need time to make your item and also process it and make sure it's ready just the way you want it. So it is extremely important to be careful with timing!

Hope this helps, Lesly! :)

Someone here requested a review of this site. So sitejabber member to the rescue here...
Yes, this site is legit. Yes, you can buy your items here. If you wish to buy an item here, please be sure to google the title of the item to make sure it is not available cheaper elsewhere (while also keeping in mind the shipping costs if you do find it cheaper elsewhere. Some places will show a lower price but the shipping/processing charges will cover the amount you were supposedly "saving". This is a sneaky thing online sellers do. Also make sure it is not coming from China. Most sites that scam are based in Hong Kong or whatever).
As always when you buy from pricey clothing sites, be sure to pay with paypal. Just so you can rest assured that you will not get scammed. But I'm 99% sure this site is for real and you will not get scammed.

Hope this helps and happy shopping :)

  • Poloshopken

3/22/18

Someone here requested this site be reviewed so here is my speculation -
The site is powered by shopify - so it's a custom made store. The shirts are all hand made from a guy named Ken in Ontario, Canada. It looks to be all one guy running the whole site. I did not buy anything from this site but if I had to speculate, I would say it is legit. If you do buy something from this site, make sure you pay via PayPal. Because just in case you DO get scammed, you will be able to file a PayPal dispute and most likely you will get your money back (and/or the product you purchased).

Good luck! :)

  • SongLyrics

3/15/18

The search within lyrics feature is always very helpful when you only know a few lines to the song but don't know who it's by or what the name of the song is. It's pretty cool. And it doesn't necessarily search for "big" artists' songs. It searches for underground artists too. Pretty large database of songs to search from and 99% of the time you will probably find the song you are looking for by searching this site.

  • WhatsApp

3/15/18

I can talk to my friends who live overseas. This is growing as a popular social media app. One of the best alternatives to Facebook Messenger and Skype. You can keep in touch with your friends worldwide and not have to worry about being spied on as much.
If you are tired of Facebook Messenger and Skype, I highly recommend trying out WhatsApp.

  • Men's Wearhouse

1/19/18

Obviously it's not gonna be cheap. It's not Wal-Mart. Menswear/suits are obviously not gonna cost you $20. I've bought a couple of suits here for various occasions between Job Interviews, graduations, weddings, funerals, proms (way back in the day lol), etc.
Obviously you can find better deals on these same suits elsewhere but I'm sure there are coupon codes floating around the internet for Men's Wearhouse that can assist you with that.
Checkout process was pretty simple. Again, really nothing that isn't completely average and isn't expected of them.
They try to keep all sizes available. I'm a relatively small guy, I'm a US size 36. I do notice they, like many other menswear sites/stores, run out of this size pretty rapidly.
My advice is if you see something you like on this site, shop around for the same one and see if you can find it cheaper elsewhere. When spending that kind of money on suits, you're gonna wanna save every dollar you can. Pay attention to the shipping costs on other sites too. A suit on Menswear can be $280 with free shipping but you may find it elsewhere for $250 but for $30 shipping. As an online salesman myself, I am aware that a lot of sites/sellers do this as an illusion so you'll buy from them.
Make sure you know what size you are (a lot of people do not know what size suit they need and this can be a big deal). If you do not know, there are size charts and (I think, but I'm not positive) Men's Wearhouse has one available to you.

Hope this helps

  • Apple

12/21/16

I switched from Microsoft to Apple in 2009. Nearly 8 years later, I am still a mac user & do not plan on going back to windows anytime soon. I have Mac Mini, and 3 Macbook Pros. Honestly one thing I love about macs is they are very sturdily built. I once had a Dell laptop... until my little infant niece threw a teething ring at it & shattered my Dell's screen. Let's just say the impact was very light, but apparently still too hard for that plastic piece of garbage some people tend to call a computer.
Apple Macs though? Why my goodness I've had my macbook pro for 3 years... it's been to college with me, it's traveled around the world with me.
Oh & if you want much more reliable speed, buy a mac. Yes, it's worth the money.
Apple's customer service? Well they seem to be a little too passive aggressive sometimes. But they get the job done & if they can't help you, then they can't help you. Sure, most of them don't speak english but they will help you if you need it.
I have a closet filled with computer parts. I call it "The PC Cemetery". These are from computers that broke or failed over the years. There are also whole laptops in there that at some point decided to just magically die on my desk one day. Do you know how many Apple products are in my PC Cemetery? Zero. ZERO! You know why? Because they were built to last, not magically croak on me during a project.

But I'm not letting Apple off the hook that easily...

Apple's business practices are super questionable. Since when do you get rid of the Headphone jack... in an iPhone? I mean it's bad enough I gotta listen to kids blasting their trashy hip hop music from their speakers. Now I can't tell them to put some headphones on... because they have an iPhone 7 or higher. What company... ditches a headphone jack? Apple is a company who, when making a newer version of a product, discretely removes more features than it adds. And most of the features they add are inessential to the casual user.
Also let's not forget about the new Operating systems every year. Hurray! Here is the most improved version of iOS & OSX! We added 5 "new" features & changed the default wallpaper! There it is, this is the future! With this technology, we will be able to colonize deep space & travel back in time to the Triassic era! Behold... macOS Sierra. Feast your sights.
Yes Apple that's nice. You spend more time developing these new operating systems. You could introduce many more features.
The way I see it, when Steve Jobs died, he took Apple with him. Sure, I still love their products (well some of them). But let's face it... If Tim Cook was the founder of Apple they wouldn't have squat worth selling.

  • Fossil

12/21/16

These guys have some fantastic products! I have a fossil watch & a fossil pair of sunglasses, and bought some clothes there too. I get compliments on them all the time. People love them. I went to a job interview brandishing a fossil watch & a vest I bought there. My interviewer said "I like your watch, what brand is it?" I told him "Fossil... the same brand that makes this vest." He said "Wow that's cool I'll have to go there sometime". Yes, I did get the job.

  • zZounds

12/21/16

Their payment plans are very flexible. When I was still trying to establish some credit history (because I had none), these guys still approved my pay as you play application for a Universal Audio Apollo Twin Solo. They are also very enthusiastic & understanding. When I couldn't make a payment in time for the deadline, I called them up to tell them what my problem was & they understood. No, there was no late fee. They just said "Ok thanks for telling us".
If you can't make a payment, just tell them. They will understand. But whatever you do, don't blow them off. If you're having a rough time getting the money for your payment, call them up & just let them know. The sooner you do so, the better it makes you look in their eyes, and the more likeliness you will have of getting approved for another payment plan with them.

As a musician, I love ways to promote my music. But first, let me tell you a little about myself.
I am a multi instrumentalist & songwriter. I play about 13 different instruments including guitar, bass, drums, keyboards/piano, ukulele, harmonica, cello, mandolin, didgeridoo, zither/harp, saxophone, percussion, sitar, & soon I will start to sing. I learned my first 2 instruments - guitar & keyboard - when I was 14. I have a back catalog of over 1,380+ original songs I made over the past 9 years. I have a degree in audio engineering & I used to work in a music shop. I currently go by the stage name "Everlasting Friday" although I have about 8 other musical side projects of I am the sole member of.
When I found out about soundcloud, I took advantage of it & it's reasonable pricing. Soundcloud allows me to connect my music with the world and that's why they are the first place I upload my songs when they are finished (and registered thru the federal copyright office). Reason why I have it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I've been using them since 2012 & I'm gonna be honest, there are flaws that have yet to be improved. In fact, some have worsened.
The most notable one is the overflow of spam. The minute I post a track onto soundcloud, I get at least 5 fake likes from fake promotion services & 3 fake comments saying "woooohaa Everlasting Friday! So we got your track & think it could do good in a music contest! Yada yada yada" They don't always say it like that. They have their little 4 week series where they say it in different ways. For a couple months they'll just comment saying "ubud?" like I'm supposed to understand. Other times they will just word the music contest thing differently for a little while. Concerned the next one will be them asking me to sniff their farts for followers. And the fact that is all happens in the first 3 minutes after posting a track concerns me & makes me think I'm being stalked. If I'm being stalked on Soundcloud then that kinda makes me wanna not use it anymore.
The other issues are minor & are not worth a mention. But I would like to suggest that maybe soundcloud allows for a backdrop option for pages. I don't mean like the cover photo. I mean the entire page, just have a backdrop - like Twitter used to have.
There should also be an built in option to watermark your tracks on there. Too many tracks get stolen nowadays on soundcloud. Maybe a reverse music search option on there can also help detect frauds.
All in all, I enjoy using soundcloud & will strive to make some huge gains to my fanbase 2017. Let's see what the future holds. :)

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you put tags in when you post a track! The more tags you have, the better. It will help other people find your music. Also if anyone asks you to join a music contest or "pay $ for X amount of followers" don't do it. It is a scam and there is little joy to it. Fans are supposed to pay for YOU. Also make sure you share your music around. Join music forums (KVR, AudioSex, etc) & share your stuff. You gotta be able to handle criticism cause some people are gonna tell you your music sucks.

Reddit is a nice place to grab memes and look at funny pictures of cats. But, if you want to be a part of the community, please be advised that there's almost a subreddit for everything. If you post to the right subreddits, you should be fine.
Some users will get what is called "reddit gold" if someone likes their content enough. I've seen people get reddit gold for both good and bad things. As for bad things, (since this is sitejabber not sitepraiser) I've unfortunately seen people get Reddit Gold for ratting on a guy whose wife passed away. Yes, it was a dark joke and having a dark sense of humor myself, I kind of understood. But it was directed at another user who was going through a tragedy.
Also, there are some subreddits that you can be yourself on if it's relevant to the particular subreddit you're opening up on.

But beware that just like any other place in the world, there's rude people galore...

The truth is, you can be anything you want on the internet. Most people, especially on the internet, choose not to be themselves but rather fit in with a particular community because they are afraid of the ridicule they *could* get for being their authentic selves. Others will choose to be themselves and express their true emotions nakedly wherever they go. And if you tell your life story, even if it's completely harmless, there's always someone in the corner who doesn't respect it.
The fact is, most of these people are kids. And by kids I mean ages 9-17. Children love places like reddit because it's just one of many places where they can feel and act edgy without their parents spanking them and/or taking their fidget spinners away. So do not be discouraged if you see a few of these on Reddit. It wouldn't be the internet without them, after all.

My advice to you is just post to the right subreddits and you will most likely be fine. Once you can learn where to post certain things, you will most likely enjoy reddit, too!

  • Feetcrown

3/22/18

Site Jabber user Subal S. Has requested a review of his site Feetcrown. I am happy to do that.
My main feedback on your site would be that you should offer currency conversions for your products. I'm assuming that's the conversion in India but when Americans or people in other countries wish to use your shop, they wanna see the prices in their currency. So you should add options to view prices in USD, GBP, EUR, etc. Also your site is kind of buggy. When I click on a product, it starts showing me locations but it looks weird and also lags. My suggestion would be to figure out what this is and try and fix it. It's not a big deal. It could be a problem on my end, too. But if other users have the same problem, they could be turned off by it. The last thing you want is your customers to go elsewhere.
I did not buy anything so I can't necessarily dictate the quality of the products I got from there. I'm just looking at the security of your site and the initial appearance of it. Because this is what attracts your customers. If your site is too hard to use, you will lose the customers and they will go find another place to shop. So be mindful of this.

Hope this helps, Subal!:-)

It's yet another site waging war on Adblocker. I found plenty of useful information on this site so it was worth turning off my adblocker for it. It also gave me about 10 seconds to view the site before it asked me to turn off the adblocker. Normally this drives me away very quickly but because the site had some useful information I didn't mind whitelisting this website in my adblocker.
Business insider has some cool information. I use it for some of my college research papers (it is a credible source of information). I learned a lot of things from BI. Hopefully they'll learn to find another way to make money off their site instead of advertisements though.

The search engine could really use some work. Searching for information on here can be difficult for people who aren't as computer-savyy.
