Terrible

The Naugatuck planet fitness has been extremely unprofessional. The staff members canceling memberships without letting the member know falsely accusing members, including myself no planet fitness is one of the worst planet fitness with the employers that they hire there very immature very very rude talks about each other, talks about members in front of other members you bring it to the regional manager the regional manager doesn't do anything about it. You try to contact and get things done about it instead they retaliate against you and cancel your membership stating that you violated a planet fitness policy, this has been an ongoing occurrence for quite some time now the gym has been nasty water leaking from the ceiling, etc. I've literally just been canceled for having a conversation with My Mother that had nothing to do with anyone in the lounge after I've been reporting the staff and what's been going on in the gym I ended up being retaliated against by the regional manager the managers and staff members also talking behind my back falsely accusing me calling me names harassing me, etc. something needs to be done. They also scam you out of your money, and cancel you and do whatever they want to do

Disrespectful employees

I have been a loyal member of the Planet Fitness branch in Egg Harbor Township for more than 5 years, and I was shocked to discover that my membership had been terminated on 7/25 due to accusations of disrespecting the staff. I have always tried to show my appreciation to the front desk employees by regularly bringing in chocolates, cookies, cupcakes, and fruit baskets. I have specifically expressed gratitude to Nick, Caleb, Cate (the former manager), and other morning desk staff. Despite this, my membership was canceled by Caleb, the current manager, allegedly due to personal reasons. Throughout my membership, I have maintained a positive and cooperative relationship with all the front desk employees, and I have never received any complaints about my conduct.
I have raised legitimate concerns about issues such as malfunctioning equipment and the unavailability of technicians and parts to Caleb. I have always displayed patience and understanding in such matters and have never demanded a refund. Despite this, it seems that Caleb took my legitimate concerns personally and fabricated allegations against me.
Recently, a new employee named Suzen has been unfriendly and unhelpful towards me. I have reported this behavior to the location manager via email. Specifically, on Saturdays (7/20) when Suzen is working at the front desk, I have encountered difficulties in using the Massage Chair and Hydro Massage Bed due to her inability to assist. Last week, I patiently waited for 15 minutes as she struggled to set up the massage equipment. As a result, I avoid using the massage facilities altogether when she is on duty.
I am reaching out to request the reactivation of my membership and to seek understanding and empathy regarding my experience as a customer. I hope for a positive and considerate response. Thank you.

Harassment and bullying

The gentleman in the photo who works the night shift at Planet fitness 1455 Pleasanthill Road Lawrenceville GA harassed and bullied me on 3 occasions. Last week he told me to leave the gym and he deleted my account. I stopped by the gym the next day to speak with the asst manager who told me the manager might not get back to me because he doesn't deal with complaints. I emailed both Investor Relations and the CEO. No one took the courtesy to contact me. This is the worst gym ever. Stay away from it.

I have been going to planet fitness for several years. Was there last weekend to tan. I waited at the front desk for at least 15 minutes until a kid came out and didn't even say he was sorry. I coudn't even see through his long hair which covered his eyes. He just grunted "what do you want". I then asked him who his supervisor was- Hank. There were several people waiting behind me. THey should have a bell or something to alert of customers but worse was the way I was treated with this kid finally made his way to the desk.

This Planet Fitness is in Rothschild Wisconsin. If I could grade with O stars, I would. This is my complaint about the fees I have been charged for the past 9 months, yet my son KP was not granted access to the facilities at Planet Fitness. My son KP has been a member since 2018. During those years, KP was not and is not a very frequent gym goer however he never minded paying the membership due to attendance. That is why I continued paying so he would have access to the gym whenever he had time. At the end of Oct 2023, I went to PF to claim responsibility for KP's membership; I wanted to gift him the gym membership as his birthday + Xmas present moving forward. They took my bank card # & PF had my son's card info as he was already a member. PF had access to both cards.
Since Nov 20,2023, I have been paying the monthly membership fee of $23.04 until July 2024 without interruption. In July, Planet Fitness withdrew 2 payments, one for $39.00? And another $23.04 on July 1 -monthly fee. From Nov 2023 until now, KP has faced some issues: My son has been denied access to the gym several times despite having a valid membership, according to them, for nonpayment yet no in-depth explanation was given. 1) Lack of communication & support from the gym staff regarding this issue. They failed to tell KP that they needed a 2nd working card on record, even though they have my son's and mine. The issue started when my son's card was declined due to lack of funds at that time or it expired, however, they tried my card and it worked and continues to work. 2) The response to my son's previous attempts to resolve this matter was inadequate + when he went in person on July 18. This is unacceptable & constitutes a breach of contract. My son is a paying member, he has and had the right to access the services as I have been successfully charged. I request immediate action to address this issue, in the form of 1) a Full refund of paid fees for 9 months as he was denied access. 2) Or uninterrupted access to the gym for the 9 months to replace the 9 months pd. (This choice will not be our first choice but we would accept it)

Don't join this gym, especially in Jacksonville NC. The manager will take more money out of you account without permission. Then when trying to get it back, you can't! They purposely put late charges even the on auto draft! Don't waste your time.SCAM!

I told a mexican kid he was not allowed to take pictures of himself in the locker room. It was against Planet Fitness policy. He argued with me. I showed him a copy of the policy on my phone. He text his father who comes in the locker room intentionally bumps into me. They leave. About 10 minutes later I walk up to the counter and told them they need to review their photo policy that I saw someone taking photos in the locker room and I felt uncomfortable. The boy and his dad waiting outside the front door to see me come up and they come in starting a confrontation. He gets aggressive and I said, call the police. They did nothing. Some ASM showed up and he was clueless about the photo policy and a woman took a photo of a transgender got her membership revoked. He was clueless of the backlash of this and many people have canceled their memberships causing Planet Fitness to raise their memberships fees by $5 a month.

I've uploaded Planet Fitness photo video policy they ignored. This PF partners franchise gym is prejudice to people who are not DEI. They either won't make eye contact and say hello when you check in or they look at you with an angry disgusted glance and look the other way.

I have no problem with the LGBTQIA's but for a transgender male to be in the woman's locker room with a child is disheartening. We can respect them but they need to also respect others. That child could have teams seeing a man in the woman's locker room. Get them their own locker room. No penises should be in a female locker room. They're not females they want to be one. Just disgusting! I hope they boycott all planet fitness. I don't want to give no stars but you have to give at least one

I paid for the 25 membership so I wasn't locked into a plan and I was still charged the buy out fee of 59.00 when I shouldn't have been charged it literally states it online that I wouldn't be charged. This company still money and falsely advertises their gym saying that the higher membership has no commitments but in reality they will not let you cancel ur membership until a year from the first charge or pay the 59.00 buy out fee the same fee the annual 10.00 membership is charged! Not worth it and their customer service is a joke! Good luck trying to get them to answer you

Signed up for a 12 month trial with Planet Fitness of Kingsport. This is the Planet Fitness on Jack White Cir. Near Golden Coral.
My intentions were always to give it a try but Never used the facilities, NOT ONCE!
But I honered the contract every month regardless.
When the 12 months were up I went in to let them know I would not be renewing and to make sure that they did not do auto renewal, which they did not. They told me then that after the 12 months all was good and I owed no more.
Here we are two months later after the fact and I am charged a membership fee of $49.
When I contacted them on this it was told to me that the monthly fees have nothing to do with the membership fee and that even though my 12 months were up I still owe an annual membership fee that IS reoccurring and non refundable.
An annual fee! Even though my contract ended TWO months ago and I no longer have privileges to enter they said the annual fee is automatic and mandatory. For what?!
Even though they failed to bring this up when I clearly asked them if there was anything else I needed to do two months prior they said that if I didn't want charged an annual fee that I would have had to mention it beforehand.
No how much sense does that make?!
They have recently told me that if I don't want to continue paying the annual fee in the future then I will need to pay a penalty fee for canceling!
We will see.

Very discriminatory.

I went in on February 11th to the Millplain location in Vancouver WA. The staff can be very condescending, biased, and discriminatory. I have been a member for some time. I gave up working out there around COVID-19 time. I ended up getting a complete home gym. I went in on the 11th to only see a huge black fist with BLM and hearts. I was offended and decided to cancel my membership. I told IAN, that I was canceling for personal reasons. I got home and noticed on my contract that IAN put "not motivated" as my reason for cancellation. Liar! The bottom line, the gym is cheap, and you get what you pay for. The atmosphere and the people who work there, not all the employees there were horrible. There were some good ones 2%, The other 98% are as ghetto as you can get. After repeatedly dealing with unprofessional staff and a very woke mob atmosphere, I decided it was beneath me and time to move on. The Ownership doesn't care nor does corporate. Just like every other gym this too shall close. I have a picture of the ridiculous drawing from the so-called judgment-free zone. I would love to share. Anyhow, we all matter no matter what race!

They stole from my credit card $375 dollars. I understand the policy is not cancel at time, but twice a month $30.48? They are stole company. Experience Fitness transfer all the customers, but Planet Fitness charge me like the have the services like Experience. Karolina Bacca is the manager but is the worst person that I spoke. Terrible customer service.

Be careful with Planet Fitness, they took twice membership a month and they didn't refund my money. They stole my money. Solo se limpian las manos con; DESAFORTUNADAMENTE… Carolina que es la manager en el West side, no fue nada amable para atender, son unos ladrones. Tengan cuidado.
Yo tenía una membresía en Experience Fitness, pero ellos al cerrar transfirieron sus clientes para Planet Fitness, cuando traté de detener esa transferencia me dijeron que debía esperar, yo me tuve que trasladar a otro estado, por lo que ellos por 6 meses estuvieron sacando de mi tarjeta de crédito $30.48 dos veces por mes, por que según ellos esa era la membresía que yo pagaba en el gimnasio anterior, lo curioso es que en planet fitness la membresía más cara cuesta $20.00 y me cobraban exactamente los beneficios que yo tenía en el gimnasio anterior. Yo pagaba Sauna, piscina y entrenador personal, beneficios que no tiene Planet Fitness, y para colmo ya sabían mi esfuerzo por cancelar que me transfieran con ellos porque yo no tenía motivos para ir con ellos, yo necesitaba hadas y ellos no tienen piscina ni los otros beneficios que yo buscaba. Hablé con la Carolina que es la manager y puros cuentos. Sólo me devolvieron $30.48 de $60.96 mensual por6 meses. Me indigna la falta de respeto a la gente. No pedí que me transfieran, hablé para cancelar ese proceso de transferenciay nunca fui a usar esa membresía que por su voluntad me pusieron porque no me convenía. Son unos ladrones despiadados. De $375.76 que sacaron de mi tarjeta de crédito sin mi autorización solo me devolvieron $30.48. Miserables ladrones.

Harassment in management

This club is the most unprofessional fitness club in Yuba City, Ca. It starts with their supervision, Patty, to their management, Adrian. Patty has literally harassed and belittled my son every time he goes in. She is a bully when it comes to my son.
I have asked to speak to management, Adrian, about this matter but she refuses to call me back because she is so busy running a gym.
So if you want a membership to a gym that likes to harass you and bully you because they are a "Judgement Free Zone," then this gym is for you.
It's so sad that businesses are still bullying and harassing people who just want to workout. They even took my monthly payment this week and then cancelled my membership right after while keeping my money. I guess that's how this business runs. Very sad!
It's sad that the owners of this establishment have an inexperienced management team running their business.
I will definitely pay more for a membership to a real gym in town.
JUST SAY NO TO PLANET FITNESS IN YUBA CITY!

Carmen was very n disrespectful I'm jus a guest she approached me being very nasty and rude, saying I was using my phone when I wasn't I wasn't loud I wasn't doing anything I was like we like to the lady that she still was there No one should go into a place in feelin unwelcome Ms Carmen needs to respect ppls stop accusing people of doing things when you're not doing it I was going to work out, not be disrespected by her. Too many people mainly young high schoolers just standing in the way of the equipment not allowing others to just go in get the work done and be done. It would be helpful if staff monitored this. Other than this it's a great place.

Very disappointed, I have been a planet fitness member for past 9 years, travel different states and use the gyms. This middletown Delaware location is a clean gym no doubt but with the worse people relation managment. They have been super racist towards me. I can't speak for the others, but I just moved here and 3 occasion they have stopped me from working out during my workout. Once it was for the phone call I answered when I was on the machine and I understand it was my fault and I accept that. Second time they told me I can't bring a gallon bottle with me while the others around me were using it, the third time I had a small tiny bag with me while the others had it also and they told me to remove the bag. When I pointed out the other bags they told me those string bags are allowed. Every time I walk in the gym they talk about me and eye me the whole time I'm in the gym. They say bye to everyone and when I pass by they don't care to say bye. I confronted the staff talking about me, he replied that he was informing the staff about the incident. I thought planet fitness was a "No CRITIC" "NO JUDGEMENT GYM" all they have been doing is judging me. They mess up my workout and it feels very uncomfortable to come to this gym because of they eye balling me the minute I walk in and leave. I will keep writing reviews on every incident until district manager contacts me. PLANET FITNESS VERY DISAPPOINTED I spoke to my community regarding my experience and most of them switched to YMCA because of this behavior. MMGMT IS THE ISSUE

THE WORST COMPANY

I have tried MULTIPLE times to cancel with PF and they have not once actually cancelled my account, They charge your card continuously. If the initial charge bounces they double charge it and run you up 100$. They have no interest in you, only your money DO NOT GO HERE

Job refusal

I had applied to this job thinking it would be a good fit for me knowing how I had USED to go here on a daily. I had applied and gotten a phone call interview to ask some simple questions, when asking the 2nd question about the times ide be working they had told me the COMPLETE opposite from what I had applied and further asked for. The 3rd question was about would I be able to work as a team, I had said yes I can work as a team but I would like to inform the company ide be working for that I do have anxiety and fears as everyone else does. They Instantly had claimed "sorry were going to have to stop here we can't have someone with mental issues working here" let me repeat if you didn't read "WE CANT HAVE SOMEONE WITH MENTAL ISSUES HERE." Then instantly had hung up the phone without a second thought or clarification. I had thought that this would be a good job but essentially was proven otherwise.
