Outstanding Club
October 4, 2021

I've been a "gym rat" for 20+ years. I call it my "happy place" When Covid hit and the clubs were closed I was beyond upset. I had been a member of another gym that was close. Planet opened before my other gym so I started there. I have to say I won't go back to my old gym. The front desk & staff are friendly calling you by name, the machines are always cleaned throughout the day and I never have a problem getting on my favorite machines. I've gotten to know some regulars there and some of the people from my old gym have switched as well. Not to mention it is very affordable.

I canceled my membership months ago. I even went down to the sh@t hole to speak to someone to cancel. This morning they charged my card 23.06 after months of not being a member. So I put my dispute in and I will be getting my money back. Be careful with them having your card information.

Angel and the staff working at night are extremely helpful. With them it's not just about wearing a tag titled " team member", it's about being A TEAM that is proficient in making every customer welcome and seemingly hoping to build on perfection as a staff. Just a super experience in professionalism and great service to it's members.

Inept.

Signed up. Tied it to my credit card and went in once. They refused the second time. The reason was they asked my name and I gave "Tom" instead of f "Thomas". I asked the to make sure they didn't have something wrong because I was signed up. They refused to look and said they wouldn't let me in. Just an uncooperative gut at the desk. I call a couple of weeks later and got a manager who actually looked and realize what had gone wrong. Tried to tell me I'd ruin by credit if I tried to drop the charge on my card. Not a place to do business with. I'm dumping them.

Post May-2016 Remodel Review. The result is bad for anybody who likes free weights. No more free weights, no more bench press, no more preacher curls. Much of it has been replaced with Hammer Strength, which I like Hammer Strength machines, but there's not enough. And in my opinion, Hammer Strength should supplement free weights, not replace them. If anything get rid of the other machines that Hammer Strength makes redundant and obsolete. The preacher bench was not replaced with a Hammer Strength machine, it was just removed. You don't get rid of free weights at a gym - period. I'm going to be looking for a new gym.

They used the wrong sanitizer to spray the machines with now the skin on my fingers are peeling. Had this happen last year and a manager explained that someone put the wrong spray in the wrong bottles for use on the machines, now whoever answered the phone totally can't understand the mix up and he would have a manager call later today(not going to hold my breath)I just want to make people aware if your hands are totally dried out and peeling it is because of their chemicals

I have been a regular at Planet Fitness for over 2 years. I have witnessed the manager change a minimum of 5 times in that period. With each new manager comes a new way to implement policy. Suddenly in 2 years of going daily, they have decided to nit pick about a supposed tanning rule. No common sense applied to their rule. On top of it, they show no proof of what their "new" policy says. The bulbs in the tanning beds have not been changed regularly in over a year, thus making the tanning experience not worth the black card membership. No log of light bulb exchanged is displayed in their tanning rooms and when asked to see it, they could not provide it.

My contract finally ended & for 2 months they didn't charge me & then all of a sudden $50 was taken out of my account. I did not want to continue my contract, I never received any confirmation about a new contract for another year & they went ahead & charged me the annual fee. I called my old location & they refused to give me a refund although it is their fault for being unorganized. This company only cares about money & will rob you blind & scam you. I will never be going back to a plant fitness. Thanks for scamming all your customers.

It seems like given any reason to close the gym does! I understand the covid but it's been months and still can't ever work out because it's always closed I joined because it was a 24 HR gym but they still charging same price! If you are looking for a 24hr gym that's going to be opened go elsewhere.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for awhile now. I believe Planet Fitness has benefits, such as low cost, and great facilities that are local to where I live.

Despite "PF" benefits I do believe corporate management is using the coronaviris as an excuse by cutting membership hours to less than 24 period.

I tried searching for applicable state and federal laws regarding health and fitness memberships, but I could not find any for the state of Virginia.

I believe if the corporate could still provide safety for the public will what members did sign up for a 24 hour, similar to a reduced hours gym. I believe their decision is based on saving money not providing access as
Members agreed to.

I was charged for the start up fee at the beginning, After that, they sent me the text about problems with billing information and gave me a link to solve them. But the design of web site is unreasonable. I can't find what happened with my account. But I found that they have charged my monthly fee already, so I think the message may be a mistake. I ignored the messages they sent me. I regret it later. Finally, they keep charging me the late fee and monthly fee every month. It is ridiculous that you can't charge my monthly fee for the billing information, but you can charge my monthly fee and late fee after the fail charging of monthly fee.
Also, there always too much customers in the gym. It is hard to use the exercise equipment I want. I was a planet fitness member for 2 years before the pandemic in Manhattan. I feel well with them. The staffs are friendly. The exercise equipments are adequate. But after the workout in Brooklyn, everything charged.

If it were possible to give them zero stars, I would do that. Please don't waste your money and time with Planet Fitness in Seattle, WA, at ******* Aurora Ave N. The staff is so stupid; they don't know their job, and can't even use a computer.

Avoid at all cost

Please note easy sign up, have been trying to cancel for 2 months there is always some reason such as "we are in the bank draft period you need to pay next month before you can cancel"...yhe fact that bank draft is the only way to pay should concern you, I am having to change bank account to stop their draafts..

Russellville Arkansas has a manager who is a monster. Marvin refused to work with me on issues that came up.
He was a monster even after I was given specific instructions from this place Marvin refused to help me. We are done with the very shady place. I will pay 10 x more anywhere else rather than give this place another penny!

I went to go tanning there and the bed had finger prints all over it no one cleans the beds. I was so grossed out! I had tanned already and saw the as I was in the booth if I get a fungus I will sue them. The gym is clean but this is gross!

This young man is a hard worker he's always there to help people of the and to make sure all of the equipment is clean and the bathrooms. He makes sure that if there's a problem he try's to help. For a young man he is so polite and professional. My husband is 74 years old and he's always keeping his eyes on him when he uses the machines he is a great asset to your gym

THE WORST COMPANY

I have tried MULTIPLE times to cancel with PF and they have not once actually cancelled my account, They charge your card continuously. If the initial charge bounces they double charge it and run you up 100$. They have no interest in you, only your money DO NOT GO HERE

Planet Fitness charge my card for 42.00 claiming this is an annual fee. I only been signed up for 2 or 3 months. Monthly fee is suppose to $10.00 + they are going to bill my card again on the 17th. I wanted a refund and to cancel the membership and was told I couldn't get a refund because the charge has already went through. I also cancelled the membership today. So pretty much they stole $42.00 and don't want to refund me. Don't automated charge with Planner Fitness and there was no email regarding this charge.

They are bull$#*!

Their cancelation policy requires you to either send a handwritten letter or visit in person. Both options are the loftiest heights of bull$#*! and should not he allowed, and this isnt just how gyms operate because I have canceled another gym membership via a phone call.
Do not reward this company with your money, because, like an abusive partner, they will make it as difficult as possible to end your relationship with them.
