What a big $#*!ing scam! They steal your money. Would not send a check in the proper name. So this check is worthless no one will cash it. And my rating would be negative 100 stars
After TurboTax entered the wrong bank information, Green Dot was tasked with depositing the refund in my account. When the refund did not appear in my account I contacted the IRS and was told to contact Green Dot. BTW this is not easy unless you want to open an account. Green Dot informed me my refund had been deposited in a Chase account and I was given a trace number. Chase was very helpful in trying to track it down. This was no surprise since I have never had an account with Chase. After months of going back and forth with the same response from Green Dot it dawned on me that my bank, Charles Schwab, also begins with CH. I contacted Schwab and sure enough my refund was in my IRA. Green Dot did not even know the bank where the funds were deposited.
The card says ATM use but when I call they representative said in store use only, that is false information and very nasty and rude!
POS Bank. My mom whos 68 years used Quickbooks Money, which is a Green Dot subsidiary. Their POS had faulty fraud detection on her twice and held $6,000 of her money for 75 days, and they wanted to hold it longer. Don't trust these services or Quickbooks banking, a bunch of frauds. We will be filing a complaint with the CFPB. No one knows what they are doing, and they don't have real bankers, just Virtual Assistants from the Philippines.
They have closed 2 separate accounts and have "lost" my ******* dollars tax refund but lied about returning it to the IRS. And I can't access 1500 dollars in my separate account BC they closed the account and never offered me any explanation. I reported it to the federal reserve BC they are already under sanctions for money laundering.
How do they even sell these anymore. GENUINELY. I put 65 dollars on a green dot debit card right? I did all the instructions- & STILL! Cant get my money back. I tried putting in the card digets at least…19 times & it still said "congrats! You are one step closer ahead to having a green dot card" & i pressed activate & it immediately said the exact same thing over & over. Fed up! I want my money back!
People if you are reading this now. DO NOT get this card ever. It is the far worse card I ever had. I got my IRS refund and they blocked my card several times. Their wait time to talk to someone is at least an hr. Seriously do not get this card. Their fees $7 a month.
Do not buy Green Dot products when something goes wrong there is no customer service at all my card would not activate and it's been 4 days and still no resolution one lie after another I will never use Green Dot ever again and I recommend you don't either
I had my income tax put into account and had my money sent to other people six different times. I disputed the first one all money sent and denied my dispute. Almost 800.00 dollars green Dot is a scam and poor excuse for a bank. My account was left with 33.00 dollars they are sorry people that steal your money and are a fraud.
You cannot register or activate temporary cards. I've tested this out several times and have come to a firm conclusion. Whatever is happening in this company is obviously dubious, likely nefarious. Do not buy. Make a police report.
Green dot doesn't protect it's customers or give you adequate answers in an Emergency! All my personal account / login passwords, pin numbers email's etc. were changed today without my consent. I've gotten hung up on 3 times by Green dot when I began to ask? S they out me on hold for very long, and then hang up!
Trying to get problem resolved by chat. Was disconnected twice. Was on hold for over an hour. They have my money but no one to talk to about it. Absolutely do not use them! Credit Unions are the best!

Needlessly charges hidden fees and lies to users about the features of the bank account stole 45 dollars from me without warning and customer service is virtually nonexistent please avoid this bank at all costs.
I had money deposited into my account and when I go to use it it comes up as declined even when it's under the balance that's in there. Then I try their chat on the app, nobody ever answers the questions. Then I try to reach them by phone, and of course no answer again after waiting for an hour. This bank is such a scam and a joke. I would give them negative stars if I could.
I have been using this card for over 10 years. I haven't had a problem until recently. With that said I have lost a total of 450 dollars in the last 6 Mos. Closing out my account. Customer service IF you can get a hold of them they always blame the merchants for their mistakes. The merchants I speak of all have 5 star ratings. That alone tells you where the problems lie. Green Dot refuses to make adjustments to correct the problems they created. Again blaming the 5 star merchants. I am done Losing money with them. Save yourself the waste of time and money. Terrible company to do business with. They do not stand behind their customers. I asked for a review on transactions that I did not make when my phone was stolen and used to purchase goods I put into appeals, and the outcome was the same. I would not have this card if Apple Pay did not give me rewards on it, take your money out and don't waste your time with them. Terrible terrible!
I was expecting $30.00 on my card. Instead got $14.00 instead. Decided to contact the employees there, No help at all. Just done with green dot.

Green Dot sucks, cards been great. Customer service availability is the worst... I've had an account for 10 years. All my ach and direct deposit information has been the same. I don't want to undo that... yet they can't update my number or email... oi gotta cancel and start over with new card... terrible resolutions
