OK I lost my card. Someone ran up $519 on it. They tried to make it $500 purchase at a pawnshop in greendot.com. Sent me an alert stop the transaction because he was using credit because he didn't know the number of my card Green Dot was able to cancel all his transactions they tell you the investigation 7 to 14 days that's a lot after 14 days they do a 90 business day investigation. I was told I was getting my money back for multiple agents several times even dates every time that they come up, they come up with another lie first accuse me of not sending back the paperwork that they sent me to fill out in time that was a lie so then they said we made a mistake you didn't fill out the paperwork right that's a lie because when library sent it to them they told me all the paperwork was right they get 20days to investigate claims and 90 business days to Refund my money back to me but on the website it says 7 to 14 days to investigate claims that's a lie I called back They said they had to extend the investigation to 90 days which they don't tell you that on their website I was told I was getting my money back January 2,2024 it didn't happen I called back and said I still haven't received it they said give it 3 to 5 business days it'll be on my card by two different agents. One name, Cesar, and one name Jose there call center is in Africa the guy Jose told me to shut my mouth when he's talking or I won't get my money back the next day I call again because for the 17th time I was promised I will get a call from a supervisor to this day. I never got a call from one supervisor because they don't have one in office they don't have a corporate office that you can call to make a complaint on so the agents that you're talking to who is very rude can get away with saying anything to you that they want to because there's no supervisor and there's no corporate office to complain to they will accidentally hang the phone up as they say when you called back and asked what happened they will say well it wasn't me, so I can't worry about that theres nobody to hold them accountable. Do not use this company now I'm told that dispute is over and I don't get no money back and do not call back anymore. If you look at all these reviews that I've read they're all correct, this company is a scam please do not use them. I use them through speedy cash so I wouldn't use my bank card to Christmas shop. It's been a nightmare the worst mistake I've ever made. They can even charge you $1.95 for customer service, so watch out for that too. No I'm prepared to hire me a attorney to go to small claims court even if it cost me $5000 to get my $500 back that's what I'm gonna do and I'm gonna keep posting for the rest of my life until greendot.com is finished. I'm a very proud black American, I'm not African-American I'm black American and as an American I want my due diligence I want my money back how can you have a call Center,greendot.com in Africa the language bar is bad you can barely understand what the representative is saying speedy cash you got to know what's going on you guys are next speedy cash I'm gonna start posting on y'all too. Y'all are allowing us red blooded Americans to be scammed by out of the country company. My telephone number is *******170. First of all what I went through with GreenDot, and the fact and I say fact that they say there phone call is recorded if they would open them up, and they sit up and tell me anything, ok I called many times and they asked for account number I say the account that was closed by GreenDot, and I never got a statement to that account still haven't got one, and yes I ask for that statement and GreenDot will not have not give that one, yes I very much so want to get what's my right to have statement, because with the chance to go over statement I can go forward with what I want do from depute anything there that I didn't give anyone the right to do and the fact that I was told a balance was there at GreenDot one time for 200 or more, and I was ask to show a receipt for reloading the card but no I can't show a receipt for something I didn't buy or do, it was the balance from the closed account and I can't get I was told if I didn't get receipt and a few phone calls later I was told that I didn't have a balance and the many times I was put on hold for the longest just to be ask how can I help by the same person put me on hold. Ok a review I know what I went through and all this bad words I was said I used I don't know that might have been on a day GreenDot had me really down and out, and I know that is good no I'm not apologizenlng about nothing said because I meant it, every word here is the truth and all this going to Google or whoever can't change the way GreenDot making me feel is what it is close all accounts that I have with GreenDot, which I asked for GreenDot, to but it's something to do with Technology something come up with GreenDot, I'm supposed to know of and I do not know what it is and I don't want to nothing to do with GreenDot Close all accounts please ALL OF THEM NOT JUST THE ONES YOU CHOOSE

Yes the fact that I was told by a GreenDot worker that the one guy broke it down to me on 1 of the many calls, these words he spoke clearly on the way to go about something like this, when calling about a account only refer to the account you are calling about and by entering your ssn. That will pull up day one account or any business with GreenDot and the fact I brought 3 cards prepaid GreenDot cards and put 500 dollars on all 3 and to not be able to do that when it have been done and the guy

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I purchased a Cash back Green Dot debit card a year ago and have had nothing but issues since. First Green Dot declined my dispute when PlayStation proceeded to take money from my account for 4 months claiming they verified the card holders name & email address "which was my ex-husbands name & email address" His information was NEVER linked to my account, how can they state that they verified the cardholder's name, when it was not my name? Second their CS Reps have continuously hung-up on mem including their "so-called Supervisors"You ask a question, they don't answer you...instead they keep reading promoted responses which usually have nothing to do with the question you have ask them! Third I had over 300 in Cash Back due to me on the 28th of Janurary, However I couldn't move the Cash Back over today Janurary 28th, causing my card now to have a negative balance" this goes back to that part about asking them a question" I asked them what time does my cash back become available, since it is the 28th and I tried to access this since 12am? Your account is negative by $$ when you bring it current, then you can get your cash back. Ummmmm is this the question I asked of them?My account was not in the negative until after 4am, so how come I was unable to access my cash back before this time" You account is in the negative by$$ when you bring your account current, then you can access your cash back. OH MY LORD! They should just use pre-recorded responses, at least then we can be 100% sure they are not listening to what we are saying, because when you use real people and this how they respond to questions, it is infuriating! It is sad that I even allowed this company to have control of my money.

I'm changing my debit card as soon as possible, too bad I can't do it instantly, since I had Direct Deposit!
The one and only good thing I can think of that was positive about Green Dot is I get my Direct Deposit 6 days earlier then if I had to wait for a paper check!

The absolute WORST
December 10, 2022

Back in August, I had booked a cabin for my birthday using my Green Dot card. I've used this card as my direct deposit for about 2 years and have yet to have any issues, so I thought nothing of it. Unfortunately, I was unable to go to the cabin and spent 2 months attempting to contact the cabin to cancel my reservation so they didn't automatically charge my card, to no avail. When I contacted Green Dot to see what they could do, hoping they'd just block the transaction and that would be that. Nope. They told me my only two options were to cancel my card and get a new one or I could dispute the $400 transaction once they pulled it out of my account. I was moving and couldn't afford for them to do that, so I opted to cancel my card. I had my card sent to my new address and was told my account would be frozen for 2 days because I changed my address, which I had never even heard of. I canceled my card on November 30th, and got the email that my replacement card had been processed and would be at my house within 10 days with my case number attached. Now it's December 10th, and I still haven't received my new card, and my account has been frozen this entire time. I contacted Green Dot, and at first, the agent informed me that there was no replacement card on my file. I sent screenshots of the email and then all of a sudden, apparently I did have a replacement card, it just wasn't processed. I called their help line to be told that it was processed and denied and that they would be in contact with me in 2 days to try and get a new one processed. I told them that my account has been frozen for almost 2 weeks, I have bills to pay that I am now late on because of them. The rep insisted there was no freeze on my account, even though it tells me it is every time I log into the app and it won't even let me move the money from my savings into my checking account. I hung up and contacted them yet again on the chat, stating that I wanted to close my account and wanted my money sent to me on a paper check. The agent tried to talk me out of it, and when that didn't work, told me that the address on my ID needed to match the address on my utility bill, and then exited out of the chat when I stated that this is the first time I had ever heard of this and they didn't need it to match when I changed my address in the first place so it really didn't make any sense. The second agent I spoke with refused to help and told me to call the help center. The third one was the most helpful and was attempting to close it for me, but suggested I moved my savings to my checking because they wouldn't be able to take the money out of my savings (again, I have literally never heard any other business operating this way, but whatever.) I stated I couldn't because my account was frozen, they attempted to help me by suggesting I uninstall the app and reinstall it, since their records aren't showing the same info. Of course that didn't help. Now I'm just waiting on getting a call from them to see if they can unfreeze it so I can get all of my money when I close my account. Now reading these comments, I'm so scared I'm not going to get the check for my money in my account, which is $900. Please, save yourself and get a card with a reputable bank. They've screwed me over so horribly and I'm so distraught over it. If I could give them negative stars, believe me, I would. They don't even deserve one.

ANOTHER RIPOFF!

Yesterday I bought a GreenDotBank.com VISA debit RELOADABLE debit card at Walmart. AGAIN, as with the Walmart VISA Debit Card I had bought and gave a BAD review about, I PAID the REQUIRED $20 "activation fee". When I tried to REGISTER it for getting a permanent card the online format response was that my "identification information was NOT verifiable" and so the card cold only be used ONCE! THIS made NO sense because not only ALL my personal information was CORRECT but I had used the SAME info to register for a BLUEBIRD American Express Debit Card which I had NO problem with doing! Calling the "customer service" line was NOTHNG BUT a series of "phone games" with "technical" problems that finally resulted in being cut off! DON'T USE GREENBANK CARDS! And BEWARE Walmart, because THAT is where I bought and "loaded" it with the $20 the day before yesterday. I HAD NOT used it for any purchases so I SHOULD STILL have had the $20 on it!

BUT, when I went to Walmart to make a $21 purchase and wanted to ADD $5 to the card, I was told I COULD NOT because ONLY allotments of $20 EACH could be added to it! You CAN ADD ANY AMOUNT to a BLUEBIRD CArd! I then tried making the $21 purchase thinking I would pay the balance with the cash. The thing with THIS Card is you BETTER KNOW your balance on it when you buy something because you HAVE TO ENTER THAT AMOUNT in the paypad BEFORE you swipe the card! I typed in the $20 amount I KNEW I HAD on it and the register responded with the message "NOT ENOUGH FUNDS"! I then went to "customer service" to find out what was going on and of course there was NOBODY there! So I went to one of the regular cash registers to speak to a cashier. She told me to swipe the card in the paypad and when I did it SHOWED on her register screen there WAS TWENTY DOLLARS ON IT! She somehow even printed out a small slip stating that. When I went back to the self-checkout register to attempt to buy the item again, the register STILL READ that I had LESS funds than $20!

THIS IS GOING TO BE THE WORLDWIDE PROBLEM WHEN THEY ELECTRONICALLY DIGITALIZE ALL NATIONAL CURRENCIES ONTO TO PAYCARDS! THE CRASH IS COMING POOPLE: 1929-2029!

DON'T BUY Moneycards at WALMART and DON'T BUY GREENDOT BANKCARDS!!

Refusal by MARK supposed highest person at GREEN DOT

Over 2 months ago I filed a dispute over charges made on my account through green dot that were fraudulent at the time of dispute I was told by a so called supervisor to go purchase a new green dot card, activate it and funds from old account would be transferred to new account, in the mean time my wife became deathly I'll and passed away leaving two tender age children also myself behind, I unfortunately lost my job due to amount of time away from work taking care of my sick wife and children ages 5 & 8 now unemployed and single father of two I find myself with electricity and water shut of due to non payment and home is now in beginning stages of foreclosure for same reason, I called green dot begging and pleading to please remove block on account in order to transfer funds to new account so that I could use MY money to pay few bills also feed my children and try to save our home. MARK told me there was nothing he would do except start process of refund check to be sent by mail. I'm told this process could take up to two weeks after reviewing paperwork I have to send to them verifying my identity. I relayed once again to MARK that in that amount of time I will not have a address to send check to because I'm unable to make payments due to unemployment. MARK then asked if there was anything else he could help me with so I replied yes tell me how I go to my children and explain that in the recovery/ grieving process now we are going to be homeless living in our broke down car because MARK will not make the slightest exception to their process and allow me to access MY funds that were taken from account fraudulently in the first place. Sence I lost my wife and job I have a stack of hospital bills for thousands and thousands no utilities what so ever and going to be homeless by the time MARK releases a " check " refunding my money the amount of check will not come close to solving my problems but yet would provide food and basic life needs for my children and I at a time that we desperately need them. A payment to the bill collectors and food on the table is about all it would cover, THANKS MARK FROM CORPORATE OFFICE OF GREEN DOT. THANKS FOR BEING HUMAN AND SHOWING THE WORLD WHO YOU AND GREEN DOT TRULY ARE. MARK FROM CORPORATE I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT EVENING WITH YOUR FAMILY AT HOME ENJOYING ALL LIFE HAS TO OFFER. While I look for a shelter or some place for my kids to rest and get a few hours sleep at most. MARK FROM GREEN DOT CORPORATE YOU MY FRIEND ARE THE DEFINITION OF A HEARTLESS COWARD WITH NOT ONE OUNCE OF COMPASSION OR SYMPATHY. Greendot Bank and Quickbooks Checking Card are the worst!

I signed up for the Quickbooks Checking Cash Card via Quickbooks Online and have deeply regretted my decision ever since. Many errors, bugs and horrible tech support teams. Countless hours wasted on hold with tech support and the billing department.

Greendot banking is run by a bunch of bullies. Has been a total nightmare trying to get my money back after they removed all of our funds from our checking account without warning or reason as to why.

Only told it could take up to 8 months to get our money back... if we did get it back!

Our only saving grace was to post on social media influencer account that got tens of thousands of comments and shares. Then Intuit and Greendot office of the president finally "helped" us get our own money back.

They are now doing the same thing with a dispute we had with Mobile Monkey a chat bot service. They are allowing Mobile Monkey to charge our card indefinitely. We have proof that we cancelled Mobile Monkey via recorded Zoom, emails from this scam company and our own contract... even with all of this proof that Mobile Monkey ripped us off, Greendot supervisor/corporate chose to side with the large company.

Greendot bank ignore our emails and phone calls after telling us that we should gather all of our proof and email to them. Been struggling with this issue for 3 months now.

We have made the decision to do away with Quickbooks products once and for all.

It is very difficult decision, being they are the largest player in the space. At this point, we are just going to stick with our bank (a real bank) and hope it works out.

Leadership for all 3 of these companies have a ruthless history. So stressful to see these CEO's being compensated millions, even when their employees are treated so poorly that they work over time to irritate customers and make life h*llish for their customers.

Deeply dissappointed.

Also learned most of the large review sites have tons of fake reviews for these companies. You can game the system and add thousands of fake positive reviews.

If you dig deeper, you will find threads online with similiar stories of small businesses being ripped off without explanation. Imagine waking up to see tens of thousands of dollars missing from your online checking account and only being treated very poorly by every employee you encountered for months on end.
