I think we're going to have to do a lot more research on this site before recommending. Can't find Versign registration or other pertinent information. Interpret any reviews to date with guarded skepticism.

Also look into other top-name online golf discount sources like tgw.com, golfgalaxy.com and golfsmith.com before doing any business with an "off brand" site.

I guess, as the movie title suggests, this is "As Good As It Gets".

Pretty good site if you want to play a little bit of online poker. Tournaments are plentiful and you can get a lot of enjoyment for small buy-ins so that you don't risk a pile of cash. Not sure I really TRUST online poker when all is said and done.

Easy to navigate, screens aren't hard on the eyes (table backgrounds and such).

The FREE version is www.pokerstars.net but I would think that is a total waste of time.

Don't even THINK that this is fair and balanced news. With ratings in the tank and a sick left-leaning crew of commentators like Gergen, Brazile, and the ever-unpopular guttersnipe Paul Begala, this channels twisted version of the political world is enough to make even a moderate hurl his lunch.

Yes, you do get about 80% of the "hard" news straight up, just like any one of a dozen channels you could be watching (including your local network affiliates), but the rest of the drivel is just impossible to stomach. Rick "DUI and I'm NOT taking a breathalyzer" Sanchez is a total joke. Campbell Brown has maybe 30 viewers at this point. Be as smart about what you put into your brain as what you put into your body... get your hard news and get away. The rest of their "panels" and commentary are totally toxic.

I just felt I HAD to throw out a quick review on this one~

Here's the deal... you see the infomercial on TV about these fabulous HD Sunglasses, and hear about how cool they are and the "HD" vision you get and how everything is clearer and more defined, colors are brighter, etc etc. In fact, the glasses aren't that bad... certainly not as "cool" as they would have you believe in the commercial but not bad for the price.

HERE'S THE TRICK OF THIS WEBSITE AND HOW YOU SCORE:

When you go to the website, you will be inclined to listen to the audio (it's loud so turn down your speakers) and then proceed to get your "2 Pair for only $10" plus shipping and handling. DON'T GO TO PURCHASE... just try to close your browser window. A pop-up will come and tell you that you qualify for the "Deal of the Day" and can have the glasses at "2 pair for only $5" plus S & H!

Now this is not a scam, if you THEN go to the purchase page, you really DO get 2 pair for $5 (I know because I bought them!). The S & H is $13.98, so your total cost for the 2 pair of sunglasses delivered to your door is $ 18.98. They're definitely better than the $5 flea market sunglasses, but not the 'superman' vision glasses you think you're going to get from the crazy infomercial. So... if you're inclined to give these a try, that's your BEST deal (if you know the trick to get the 2 for $5 price). The site itself is very simple and easy to use once you've decided to buy them. Hope this saves everybody $5 if they want to try the glasses. I give the actual glasses a 5 rating on a scale of 1 to 10. Life goes on.

Typical of these types of sites. It's not that convenient, since I still have to call the golf course to check on maintenance status, cart path only (if it's rainy) and other issues. My biggest problem with site and others like it are:

1. They make a strong effort to peddle the 'discounted' times (these are the times they take from the golf courses for their 'fee' so it's all their money if they sell them). These are usually not the most desirable times either.

2. You have to pay 100% UP FRONT, and the only way to get a refund is if the course actually CLOSES that day due to weather. So if your schedule changes you're basically stuck (like a hotel reservation).

3. There is a "booking fee" which I find ABSURD.

4. Their selection is pretty weak most of the time.

I've been playing golf my entire life, and this type of technology really isn't welcome. I much prefer to interact with the pro shop personnel, review and select a tee time with him/her directly, and have the flexibility to change or reschedule. Use this site if you're so inclined (at least that's what the "mind control" advertising on Golf Channel will tell you to do), but for me and my golfing buddies it's a failed experiment.

After seeing this product on QVC and on TV, I decided to give it a go. I went to the website and bought a basic package of products. AT NO TIME during that process was a "subscription" or "auto-shipping" shown. Must have been buried in the Terms and Conditions. My order arrived timely, and inside was a sheet of paper with very light gray text. They told me they sent me a "free gift", which was in essence their AUTO SHIPPING SUBSCRIPTION (you believe the ballz on these people?). And it wasn't for a continuing shipment of what I had bought, it was for a larger package of products. SO my harmless $38 order was going to start auto-shipping at the rate of $128 per month! Really sneaky stuff. So, of course, I dialed the 888 number provided to cancel that. The guy I got on the phone was programmed to HAMMER ME with any/all tactics to get me to stay on auto-ship including a reduced package, reduced pricing, etc. We've all seen the 'save the sale' game. UGH. Anyway, jury's still out on the product's effectiveness (it's essentially hydrogen peroxide toothpaste booster). So be careful on this website if you order anything! Cheers.
UPDATE: Having used up all the products I bought, I can say that they are essentially worthless. Not to mention the endless harassment (COME BACK... BUY AGAIN... LOWER PRICE... etc etc). Avoid this mess, truly.

Tip for consumers:
It's in my review.

Products used:
Both the toothpaste booster and the 'pens'

I would hate to see any gal (or her friends or wedding participants) get ripped off by a site like this. This website is poorly assembled with grammatical and technical problems all over the place. Goods ship from China ( what a shocker) and payment methods only include Paypal and Western Union. We've only seen THIS a thousand times already.

Let's all work together and pounce on these types of sites as soon as we see a "hit and run" review posted. I guess I just can't over the fact that a group of criminals would set up an "elaborate" scam like this, targeted at an English-speaking audience primarily, and not even make sure that they're using grammatically correct English on the site or out on the internet at a large.

For all you ladies getting married this summer season, PLEASE stay local for your dresses and wedding accessories. I can't imagine how these animals even sleep at night setting up this kind of trap looking to rip off folks as they plan for such an important day in their life. If you want to get a good laugh, go to this site and read the "Return and Exchange" policies. What a riot.

NOT COOL~

Terrible, filthy scam. This is not the only "people" site out there, it's just apparently one of the better financed scams. They blitz the airwaves with commercials, get a whole bunch of folks to sign up unwittingly, and like others before them... they will be GONE at some point without a trace.

Always be WARY of any site that shows "people" trying to contact you (or are "looking for you"), when the people listed are roughly your age and from cities or towns where you have lived. A lot of information is available about you, especially previous address information. That's the key to this SCAM... just try it for yourself!

Go to the site and put in your name. It does an instant database search (they're obviously interfaced with a skip-trace type d-base), and it finds your previous addresses. Then it cleverly assembles a "list" of people who are "looking" for you, who are approximately your age. With random assignments of 'male' or 'female'. Quite a clever scam actually. So for example, let's say at some point you lived in Miami and you're now 32 years old. The skip-trace database has all sorts of info on you (including age or DOB), so mysteriously the site says that a "FEMALE AGE 32 IN MIAMI" is looking for you. What a goof. If you lived in Miami when you were 25 years old, there's a good chance you KNEW a female there at that time, and she would also be 32 now (7 years later). They leave the rest up to your imagination. Like "hmmmmm... I wonder if that could be..." then your mind fills in the blank. Maybe a girl you dated, or whatever. This is most despicable rip-off yet... using your own personal, historical information against you. Which up until now had only been used for debt collection, credit reporting, and skip-tracing and/or law enforcement.

There's just WAY too much information about ANY of us floating around out there in databases, just waiting to be exploited like this. Stay clear of ANYTHING that shows you 'generic' search results about your past life, it's always going to be a scam to get your credit card number!

WOW what an awful scam.

And to take money from folks who are having a hard time or have hit a bad patch in life. I guess there have been palm readers since the beginning of time. This is reminiscent of the "Miss Cloey" 900# scam. One look at this and you just know the claims are too good to be true, and "Tara" is based in Hong Kong? Give me a break.

BEWARE!

This is a total counterfeit merchandise trap!

If you are interested in NFL, NHL, MLB or other Official jerseys or apparel PLEASE go the the actual website for that sport and click the "shop" link to go to the Official store for those sports.

PLEASE read my reviews on these types of sites, and my guide on how to avoid these awful scams and rip-offs. I can't believe this, what a nightmare. These sites are SO poorly done I can't believe that anyone would actually put in a live CC number and make any attempt to buy this junk.

The Official stores (like www.nflshop.com) actually have a lot of great deals, sales and clearance items. Buy the Officially Licensed, genuine products! You might pay a little more, but these knock-off sites will rip you off BIG TIME (and that's assuming they actually ever SHIP you anything). You have NO LEGAL RECOURSE against these types of sites either, so once you're money is gone, it's seriously gone!

Another obvious problem we have are these "hit and run" reviews posted by what are apparently agents for these sites. They come onto SJ and make ridiculously obvious 'sales' posts, usually in very poor English (check the review for this site). This is becoming rampant and we have to stick together to clean up this filth. If you see anything like this, please FLAG it and report it to management. You might save some poor soul a heap of aggravation and keep them from becoming the next victim.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

  • Nhljerseysale

7/24/10

Just as with other major sports, the counterfeit and fraudulent "jerseys" business is booming. And just as with all things on the internet, they're using (in this case) "NHL" in the URL of the website, hoping to capture traffic of folks searching for NHL jerseys and related merchandise.

LOOK AT THE SITE CAREFULLY! Right on the homepage is awful sales copy that isn't even written in proper English. Do you need a finger to come out of your screen and poke you in the eye?

We went through this last season with a lot of similar rip-offs on NFL jerseys, so the same thing applies for ALL major sports. IF YOU WANT TO BUY A REAL JERSEY for any major sport, then go the the Official League shop located on the Official League website (MLB.COM, NFL.COM, NHL.COM, NBA.COM, etc.). You will be assured of getting Officially licensed, bona-fide merchandise. You'll get terrific service, and most of all, a secure transaction and the REAL JERSEY that you wanted.

So again, for NHL Jersey purchases (and for the general category of Official merchandise)... BE CAREFUL when you look for this stuff on the internet! Go the the real source for it. Don't try to save a few quid on a no-name website. In fact, on the Official websites there are always all sorts of sales, clearance areas and specials. The Chinese and others are EXPERTS at counterfeiting this stuff and selling it. That's assuming they ever even ship what you paid them for. Agents for Major League Baseball and the NFL make a couple of major busts every year, accounting for literally millions of $$$ of bogus merchandise.

Be careful out there!

Please read my guide on golf equipment and related sites. I am in the Golf Industry and I will help you anytime with a recommendation. Just hit me up with a message.
This site is another crudely constructed JOKE, preying on folks who are trying to save a buck. In reality, the top reputable sites usually offer the best pricing as well. You will find many clearance and sales items on the primary seller sites.

PLEASE PLEASE don't patronize this type of deceitful website!

Check that out, and STAY AWAY from this new wave of 'registry' and 'PC' cleaning software websites and products!

  • Ggoshopping

5/17/10

Another scam site that is set up to catch you if you misspell "GOSHOPPING.COM", a well-known and trusted site for general shopping.

BE VERY AWARE when you search on the internet or type in the name of a website that many of the domains that represent a COMMON TYPO (like this one) are set up specifically to capture you. It's very rampant now. As with all questionable sites peddling garbage from Asia, always look over the site and look for the most common signs~such as really BAD English in the text. This site has a the page where you go if you click the VERISIGN seal (not supposed to go anywhere but their Verisign page, by the way):

THAT MESS you've just read was copied and pasted from the PAYMENT PAGE, the most important and sensitive page on any site since it deals with YOUR credit card! Oh yea... and they show ALL the best stuff that they're famous for counterfeiting (Gucci, Prada. Etc etc). What a joke.

PLEASE PLEASE be careful out there, this is just the sort of FILTHY TRAP SITE that can just take your money, and you have no recourse whatsoever!

PS~It seems that the counterfeit Asian rip-off website underground has found Site Jabber. I see all sorts of hit-and-run "reviews" (by people with common names, who only have 1 review). But their grammar and spelling are TERRIBLE so that pretty much narrows it down doesn't it?

  • Mygolfwholesale

3/19/10

I think we're going to have to do a lot more research on this site before recommending, but the history is NOT good. Can't find Versign registration or other pertinent information. Their BIZRATE is also a fake. Interpret any positive reviews to date with guarded skepticism. Some of these Chinese fake goods sites (not limited to GOLF products) are having people sign up for Site Jabber and place phony "reviews". You'll know many of them by the poor use of English.

Also look into other top-name online golf discount sources like tgw.com, golfgalaxy.com and golfsmith.com before doing any business with a "NO NAME" site for golf equipment and/or accessories.

As with all commonly shopped goods on the internet, these scam artists establish domain names that have keywords in them that you would search (discount golf equipment, Tiffany jewelry, UGG boots, etc.). They're just hoping that your search turns up their site, and in your zeal to save a few dollars they rip you off.

Be careful out there!

  • Bestjays

3/14/10

C'mon folks you HAVE TO STOP trying to buy cheap NIKE shoes from these Chinese operated rip-off sites!

Here is your first clue:

Read ALL the various sales and support text on the site. What you're looking for is poor use of English or grammatically incorrect sentences LIKE:

Any question regards of order please contact us, thanks!

Now THAT is copied and pasted right from the HOME PAGE. Who speaks or writes English like that? That's the first tip-off that you are on dangerous ground. Let's not mention that you have to learn (sometime) that there's NO FREE LUNCH, no such thing as high quality name-brand goods at incredibly cheap prices.

NEXT THING: You must ALWAYS ALWAYS look for the Verisign or other CC processing SSL logos. CLICK THEM! Make sure they take you to the page where you can verify the sites certificate status. In the case of this website, those "seals of approval" are BOGUS! You can't even click them, they don't GO ANYWHERE. They just copied and pasted the logos from wherever. Sheesh.

Add this site to the endless list of scams, rip-offs and ne'er do wells. Just start with the OFFICIAL brand site for ANYTHING and then work your way down from there. Don't start at the bottom. Now you can add the money you got RIPPED OFF FOR to the cost of the REAL shoes you now have to go buy from a reputable company [should have been there in the first place]. I only wish there was some form of policing for these thieves but there isn't.

  • Webelectronicshopping

3/9/10

Not looking too good folks. Although they do have a PayPal option payment link, if they're insisting on Western Union or Bank Transfer (to the Bank of China obviously as stated on their website) this could be VERY dangerous.

Why wouldn't you just go to Best Buy or Wal-Mart locally? Usually the shipping kills any additional "savings" you might get dealing with this type of website. And that's assuming that you actually RECEIVE what you pay for (which looks like an issue since at least one of you is still "waiting for your product").

Common sense has to take over at some point here...
