Rotolight

Rotolight

I purchased the rotolight Neo 2 knowing full well that this light will not over power the sun and is not as powerful as a standard off camera flash. For portraits and photos of children, this is an ideal flash. The Elinchrome trigger works very well and is easy to set up. There is ample power for almost any indoor situation and is also useful outdoors in the right light. You just need to choose the right outdoor light. I didn't realize the convenience and power of being able to change the color temp of the light until I had that option at my disposal. So much easier to get great skin tones now. I will admit the price is high for an "LED" light as you can easily find LED lights with the same power output for far less. The difference is the quality of the light and circular light pattern really makes all of the difference in the world for catch lights in the eyes. It was well worth the money for me and I plan to sell off my other lighting gear and use Rotolights for my portraits. I don't think I can ever go back to using speedlights anymore after not having to deal with recycle time. If you have children and especially toddlers to photograph this is definitely the light for you as not having any recycle time is great as well as just having continuous light. (Kids hate flashes). They are also extremely durable, as my todder threw this light several times on the ground and it didn't break at all. My only suggestion is that I hope that Rotolight creates yet another light that is in between in size of the Aeos and the Neo. The Aeos is still too big for me, and yet sometimes I wish the Neo was a little larger. Or if they could create a DTAP battery that is smaller that would work too. Still, those are just my wishes for an already amazing product which has enabled me to capture some priceless moments. I can't wait to see what Rotolight creates as their future products.

Typically, if I want to take a photo, I will use a full frame camera like a canon 5dMiv and a prime lens or a more portable sony a7riii. I detest taking photos with my iphone as the sensor size is so tiny. This app has definitely made me rethink using my iphone for more serious photography. It gives me raw images, complete manual control of the camera and video control as well. I just wish I found this app years ago. Great job and the tutorials on how to use the app on your iphone are easy to follow. Simply the best $4.95 or whatever it costs I ever spent on an app.

I have personally ordered from Claflin many times for office medical equipment and they have an excellent customer service department and fast and reliable shipping. They have products for both medical offices as well as products for patients such as scooters. Prices are extremely competitive and often lower than what I have found else where. They have been in business since 1817 and are one of the most well recognized medical supply companies in the healthcare sector.

wonderful physician and beauty expert - I have known Dr. Lin for years and she is an amazing physician in both skin rejuvenation and anti aging techniques. Her office staff is personable and warm. She also invented MDLashFactor and that shows her committment to the world of cosmetic skin care.

1. Video On Demand: they are trying to compete with netflix/itunes/etc, but here is the problem...while they do have a great selection and reasonable prices the quality of the video cannot even begin to compare to that of netflix or itunes right now. Plus they somehow lack the ability to buffer the video, so if your connection slows during playback the entire video stops. This never has happened to me on netflix or itunes. Did I mention this was on a T1 line? They give you the option to download the movie to your PC if the connection is too slow, but here is the catch, if you started watching the video already you have to pay AGAIN to download the video. So make sure you test out their connection before you pay for their VOD services, my T1 line was too slow for them. I give them a meh rating as of 12/2010 but hope in the future they get their act together. They clearly rolled this out before it was ready in hopes to gain market share of the VOD services.

2. Kindle: here I give amazon a full heart, for books they are doing it right. Very seemless and easy to use. Almost magical in the way you can be reading a book within minutes.

3. books/DVDs: here again they deserve a full heart. fast service and I do much of my xmas shopping here.

the mecca for all geeks - I get lost in here for weeks at a time. They have the best return policy on the planet. If its broken, just return it. If you get tired of it, just return it. Just don't ever buy something that was returned even if its 10% off.

Enter middle earth on the best online RPG - This game stays pretty true to the tolkien books and the movie; fans of the genre will be very happy with the accuracy.

It is not quite as polished as WoW, nor does it have any PVP aspect, but what it has is a stronger quest system and better storyline. The tradeoff is that nobody is quite sure how long LOTRO will last. Turbine had better keep cranking out quests and moving the plot along or subscribers will get bored.

great phone if you want to keep your identity a secret - You pay buy buying prepaid cards, you can use a fake email, and they never ask your name when you activate the phone. Its like they don't even want to know you name. I'm thinking whoever uses these phones has something to hide or they are for kids who can't afford a real cell phone plan. Genius idea though.

Best sounds for your HDTV - If you think you need to spend huge bucks for an amazing surround sound system, then you are wrong. Most really really good surround sound system cost about $1500 for a good receiver and then another $3-4K for speakers to go with it. And, even then you do not have complete control over how your system sounds. Music and sound is very individual and what sounds amazing to someone may not to someone else.

The most inexpensive way to achieve the best sound quality for your new HDTV is to actually use a PC with a high end creative labs sound card and THX 7.1 speakers like their gigaworks. A PC with their highest end sound card will run you about $1K, the same as a good receiver. Except now, you can hook it up to their THX speakers and get 7.1 surround sound and complete control over your sound quality. Combine that with the fact that you do not have to also buy a DVD player now because your PC can do a better job of scaling the video to 1080p than a $500 sony DVD player.

The big disadvantage is the look of these types of speakers, otherwise they will provide sound quality far surpassing that of higher end 5.1 surround sound systems.

great magazine for HDTV enthusiasts - This is one of the better magazines for HDTV junkies. It has reviews of the latest HDTVs as well as furniture and other equipment to build a home theater. If you are thinking of installing a home theater, I'd recommend reading this magazine for a few months first before you buy and then decide on all of the equipment that you are going to get. You don't want to embark upon something like this blindly. Reading this magazine combined with reading tips from users posted online is the best way to build the perfect home theater.

use this if you have a cold - the study at UCLA showed that if you use zicam at the very first sign of a cold you can reduce the duration of the cold by about 2-3 days. But you have to use it every 2 hours and really be consistent with it. And, you have to start almost immediately at the first signs and symptoms. I have recommended this product to all of my patients and friends throughout the years. Get the one that is zinc based and meant for colds.

If you have to try one program, try this one.... - During my medical training, this was the one weight loss program that was universally recommended to me by both patients and physicians. It is not a "quick fix" program and it involves real life style changes along with group support. This is not a fad diet plan (like protein only diets). I would highly recommend this site and program to anyone who is seriously considering losing weight.

Much better than the original ambien - I tried the original ambien and sometimes woke up in the middle of the night, the new CR version is great for when you have to travel and change time zones. Just don't take it on the plane especially if you have to wake up in less than 7 hours. Might be useful on those long flights to Europe though.

sit under a LED light and treat your bald head. - I recently heard that this company may be conducting trials on to whether or not LED light therapy is good for hair growth. There already exists products that make this claim, but nobody has come out with very conclusive studies.

ibackup lets me sleep at night - I have many critical files at my business and they need to all be secured offsite just in case. I tried ibackup and have been happy with them so far. However, I have not "needed" the backup files as the #$# has not hit the fan, but I can see my files being backed up and hopefully my data is secured.

get rid of your excess swag and save the environment - I ran into this company at a recent blog conference and they really have quite an interesting idea. Everyone goes home with tons of swag after a conference and I know I probably have bags and bags of useless swag at home. I usually just throw it out, but you can send it to this company and they give you mysterious points for donating your swag and then they recycle it. Better than dumping it in a landfill. Pretty cool idea...save the environment and I'm sure company profits from this as well.
