As other reviewers have stated, this unit works a few times and then red light turns on at the back even though it is full and their own water is used. Customer service only replies to email, the troubleshooting does not work and you get a run around. After spending 240.00 for a product that doesn't work in less than a month is a scam to me. Don't waste your money! I still have more than half a box of refills left after I used two bottles to troubleshoot. The product was barely used and stopped working all of a sudden.
I really wanted this to work. When it does, it's great. Frequently have trouble once adding new water, from the enclosed tubes. Unit is fully charged, but will not stay on long enough for water to mist. The blue light goes on for about 15 seconds, then shuts off and turns red. A waste of $150. What a scam. DO NOT BUY!
I purchased one for my dad and myself. Worked fine for about 3 months. Then nothing. Can only contact customer service via email. They offered troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. Won't purchase another and don't recommend.
No matter how diligent you are with the 'pure' water you put in this machine after about 10 uses it stopes working and you can't get it to work. A piece of junk. Boil water on the stop and use a towel over your head to catch the steam, works 10 times better and it is free. Don't be sucked in this thing does not work for long.
The blue lights come on when the power button is activated and the product will not work. I have contacted customer service on the website as directed in the user manual, but have had no response after 3 days. I phoned customer service and the recording directs me to the website. How do I get attention for a solution to this problem? Due to the large amount of poor reviews regarding unanswered complaints, should I contact the retailer's customer service department to get answers?
Purchased a year ago. Thought it was maybe putting out a little moisture at the time. I used it a couple of times and put it away. Got it out to see if it would help my allergy symptoms. It is now not working at all. Fluid is full, blue light is on, no steam is coming out. Very expensive for nothing.
Worked fine about 5 times, then I struggled to get it to work kind of okay about 3 more times, then it quit for good. I followed all the operating instructions. I think the very cheap switches on the pcb are bad. Customer service couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. It was a gift, so no original receipt, which ended the conversation. They don't offer to repair for a fee, either. The product is a good idea, it's just cheaply made, & can't work long.
I am a physician and I have been using mypurmist for a few years for my sinus issues and allergies. It works instantly, clears up the sinuses and helps you breath better keeping the lungs clear and also helps expel any collected bronchial secretions easily.
I have purchased over 10 Purmists over the last few years. They really do help with my sinus problems. The problem is each unit doesn't work over a few weeks or at the most a few months. At first I thought they had a bad batch of product but it's more than that. Everything they make doesn't last more that a few uses. In my opinion they outrageously overcharge for the water and scent pads they sell.
I had a purmist that did not work anymore. Went through customer service - within 24 hours had a new one shipped! They were very clear on what they needed and I had my receipt as I'd ordered online. The new purmist turned up this evening - four days after I'd made the initial inquiry. Super impressed and did not expect that based on the reviews. Great job!
Broke on firs day,terrible customer service,buyer beware want to blame water when i used provided water,serial number and on and on. This co should not be allowed.comperable misters are half the price
I purchase 2 of these devices. I used both of them for a combined total of 5 uses. Three on the most recent one and two on the first one. Both of them gave me a red light and ceased working. I used the correct distilled water. The company did not replace the devices. My issue is I'm a 911 rescue/recovery worker and I only use it when I'm having an issue. So I had it still in the box un used for months. So when I did use it it was out of warrantee. However I did expect more from the product. I am positive there must be an issue that this company is aware of because this should not happen with such limited use. I mailed the device back to the company so they could see the excellent condition the device is still in. Great customer service, horrible product. I gave the one star because I had no lesser option.
I purchased the unit, (MyPurMist), and it was pricey, and I used it ONCE. When I went to use it again, it didn't work. Contacted them, they told me to try this and that, tried it, and it's never worked but the one time I used it.
Purchased from target charged overnight put there water in light turned blue then went red never came on, no phone number to call, hide behind email, returned to target for another one charged overnight, filled with water leaked out every seam, at my age i want to talk to someone not type, you cant emphasize your anger that way
Bought PureMist FREE last night from Walgreens. First, I don't mind spending the $$ if something works. Instructions are horrible. Not enough information. Nothing about resetting device. "unplug, plug and push power on, quickly". Really, this is a "reset"? Literally, used it ONE time for 10 minutes. Followed all instructions and even had my doctor husband read instructions to make sure I was not omitting anything. Steam stopped coming out. Thought maybe it was a charging issue. Plugged it in and charged it for 3-hours. Unplugged the unit (as the scant directions that were included said the piece of junk, I mean, unit would not work unless it was unplugged.). Check the water reservoir. Turned device on and NOTHING. All that I get is a red line on the power switch that says it needs charging. Tried different outlet. NOTHING. What a colossal piece of JUNK. Good luck staying in business. I wonder if the fact they have three versions in a relatively short period of time means that the device has been consistently flawed since it was introduced. Save your money.
WAY Overpriced, works intermittently, noisy, and designed to fail. As a retired mechanic... This POS will not last. Imagine your laptop with a huge adapter that cannot be disconnected from the unit... That's right, you have to take the whole unit, adapter and all, to a sink to empty the water or clean it. $150.00? Mine is going back!

An utter waste of money, would have been better off throwing a hundred plus bucks out the window! Worked fine the first two times I used it. Next time I filled the tank and it leaked all over the counter before I even got around to using it. Trying to access the website to contact their support desk as the product information tells you to do. The website does not work so this has been an absolute waste of my time and hard earned money.
Do not waste your money on a product that will not last nor from a manufacturer who will not stand behind their product. My mom suffers from allergies and has bronchitis. She purchased this a year and two weeks ago. She kept all paperwork and her receipt so we have the exact date of purchase. This was a wonderful product in theory, but should have lasted well over a year based on the hefty cost of $150. My mom followed their instructions to the letter which may be the only reason it lasted a year. The real issue here is that the customer service number she contacted will not return her calls. It is a recorded computerized system that prompts you to leave a message and that your call will be answered promptly. Apparently this company knows their product won't last and is hiding behind their message service. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!
The first 2 units I tried stopped working within a couple of days (flashing blue light) so I upgraded the unit to mypurmist free. The upgraded model automatically flashes red like I don't have any water in it when I can see the water.
Customer service is awful. They are only interested in selling you a higher costing product. The manager of Bed Bath and Beyond is tired of seeing me but, I shouldn't have to mail a product to the company less than 30 days.
I will try one more of the upgraded unit then I will get a refund.
After reading reviews I find myself in agreement with many, I can not recommend this product to anyone, not even my enemies. Worked a few times then stopped. Can't speak to anyone, I lost my receipt, I sent an email waiting for response. I am most likely out of luck, with this product.
