Back in 2007 I received a phone call from HSBC one night. Since I was currently out of work because of a terminal illness. I was trying very hard to pay of some of my debts. Before becoming ill I had a great job and was able to use credit cards. I only had one at the time it was Capital One. When I first signed up for this card I purchased the insurance protection just in case I ever became ill that they would make payments for me. Well little to say they only paid $19.00 per month toward there card. I was upset because if you can't make full payments on a card the interest falls into the highest 24% bracket. Well we all know you can never pay this off. Since I really wanted this credit card paid off but had no way to pay it at the time. I just allowed the card company to keep paying this $19.00 per month. Well back to the phone call that I received from HSBC. I received a call from a representative that offered me a way out. He told me that if I decided to go with HSBC that they could do a balance transfer to Capital One and pay them off. Also he told me that I would have 0% interest for 12 months. I told the representative that I may do this but I needed to also get new tires for my truck and wanted to have left over credit on the card to buy them. I asked him what was the limit he could offer me? He said he could get me a $5000. 00 limit. Since I needed to pay $1500. 00 to Capital One this would leave me $3500. 00 left over so I could buy tires and still have some credit for other things. Also I would have 12 full months to pay them back with no interest. I asked the representative over and over again if he was sure that the limit would be $5000. 00. He told me not to worry and he was absolutely positive that I would have this limit on the new card. I explained to him that I was skeptical because I have dealt with many other card companies in the past and sometimes they do not keep there end of the bargain. I advised him that I was a bill collector and know how it works. He told me to hold one and he would make sure that I was approved before I agree. He then placed me on a brief hold and when he came back he again said I was approved. I told him that if everything did not go as he said that I would be very upset. When the representative first called he said he was from Discover. I went ahead and told him to go ahead and do the balance transfer to Capital One and gave him all there information. He advised me that I would have my new card in 5-7 business days. One week later I received a letter and the card in the mail. I will never forget how mad I was when I opened the letter up. The letter stated that I only had a credit limit of $2000. 00. Also the card was not a true Discover card it was from the Discover Network. So if a balance transfer for $1500. 00 was to go to Capital One this would only leave $500,00 left. This was not even enough to buy new tires for my truck. I was so mad I called them up and got a supervisor on the line and told him how his representative lied to me and tricked me into taking out a card that he promised would have a $5000. 00 limit on it. I explained to him the reason and what I needed it for. Well the supervisor told me that there was nothing he could do. H advised me that the balance transfer to Capital One had been made and that at least I did not have to worry about that card anymore. I told him that I really did not care because I did appreciate being lied to and felt that it was deceitful entrapment in order to get me to go with them, regardless of them paying off the other card. I advised him that this kind of sales marketing was against the law and that he should listen to the call that was made to me by his representative promising me of a $ 5000. 00 credit limit. Well he still blew me off and I hung up on him. I then began to think of a way to fix these jerks and thought to myself two can play this game. Since I just went out of work the year before I still had an ace in the whole. I had one more income tax return. I went and got my return done and when I received it. I decided to pay the whole $1500. 00 back to the HSBC bank before my 12 month 0% time frame. This way I could kill two birds with one stone. Also they could not charge me a dime in interest. This is exactly what I did. I first called them to get an exact payoff good through the entire month and then sent them a check in the amount of $1529. 00 to make sure it was $1.00 over. They way they would have to send me back a check for $1.00. Then after I received proof that they where paid off. I called them again and advised them I was cutting up there card as we speak. After that I wrote there corporate office a letter explaining every thing that took place. I advised them that if I wanted to be a real B, that I could file a complaint with the BBB and let them know about the entrapment. I then faxed the letter to them and waited for them to respond. They wrote me back letter saying that the next time I wanted to pay off another card company that I should go to a bank and apply for a loan. I laughed my butt off. I thought to myself how does it feel HSBC for someone to use you? To this day I have no credit cards. I believe in cash on the barrel. I would rather save for something than give my money to rip off card companies. I hope this review helps other not to get roped into maybe many years of grief. www.hsbc.com

Years ago I moved into a new home. I was looking for nice furniture that I could afford while making house payments. I looked in many furniture stores for something unique and different. I did not have much luck since I was looking for something that would be durable but with darker colors. One day I was going to a dry cleaner and next store was a Rent A Center. I decided to just take a stroll and see what they had. Since I have never rented to own furniture I was a little skeptical. After going in I was surprised to find something I really liked. I found a black sofa, chair and love seat that had such a pretty pattern. It was like sprays of paint in multi colors. The set also had these really cool glass tables with stone bases. I also loved the lamps that where black poles that went up and over the sofa with 5 globe bulbs that fanned out over the furniture. This set was very different and was really neat. I talked it over with my boyfriend because I was not real keen on the idea of paying interest to rent to own. We both decided to do the transaction because I really wanted the set. Well let me say that I was happy at first until the sofa that I was paying so much for was starting to sag. I had the set for less than 1 year and the cushions where so messed up it was like sitting on a marshmallow. I had to keep turning them over to try and make the sagging not appear so much. I also was sorry I bought the tables because they never stayed clean. I had to dust them everyday. I did like them but they where a pain. I called the store and told them about the furniture falling apart. They did nothing and I was bound to a contract. Either make the payments or the furniture gets taken. Since I was so upset I went to the store to talk to manager there and advised him of what was going on. He never did anything to fix replace or repair the flabby furniture. I wound up paying it off. And then giving it away. I will never buy anything from these scam artist again. In the end I wound up paying almost double for furniture only because I liked the look. Well looks can be very deceiving. Remember this my friends. The sweetest candy can be rotten on the inside. These types of company's prey on people who can't afford to buy lavish furniture promising to back there products. What a big joke. I like the design of the furniture but if I knew it was put together with elmer's glue and cotton balls, I would have made it myself. I would have been better of with bean bag chairs at least they are meant to sag. I hope this helps anyone who may consider using fraud furniture stores. Before Christmas on Dec 3rd I called Figis to ask questions before placing an order. I wanted to make sure that they could send the items I order before Christmas. I also wanted to make sure that they could deliver the items to businesses. Because 2 packages needed to go to 2 different businesses I was concerned about the delivery dates because these people where not going to be available after the 20th of Dec. I called everyone I wanted to send something to without them knowing what I was trying to do. Because these people are very special I wanted to do something nice that there whole family could enjoy. After getting the go a head from them that they all would be home or in there office on the 20th. I called to place the order on Dec 6th. I spoke to a rep who seemed to be very nice and knowledgeable in taking these orders. I explained to her how important it was to have these items delivered on the 20th. She told me no problem at all. I ordered 8 boxes of petite fours. I told her that 1 box needed to be sent after the New Year because the recipient would not be back from vacation until then. She advised me again no problem. I told her that 2 of these boxes where to be deliver to my home address for my family. Because they charge $25.00 for shipping plus and extra $2.50 per mailing address I was trying to save a little by having 2 sent to my home and I would give the box to my niece and her husband when they came over Christmas. I then gave her all the other names, addresses and zip codes for all the other deliveries. She advise me that they would be sent via UPS. Then she told me that I was all set. I then made payment in full. The total came to $113.00 total. After a few days I checked my account to see if the funds had been taken. They where not. I called Figis to ask why the money had not been taken and explained that I wanted to be deducted right away. The rep told me that the money would be taken when the order was processed. On the 16th I went out to take care of some things and when I returned there was a Figis box thrown on the front porch. I was so upset that my family saw the box. I called Figis and got a rep on the line I asked her what was going on? I asked her why was this box sent on the 16th instead of the 20th like I ordered? She told me that it takes time to get these items out before Christmas. I told her that this in crazy. I said I don't want these people to get there gift 9 days before Christmas and that these are perishable items if left out they will spoil. She said they will stay good for 9 days. I said the need to be refrigerated and the box does not even say that. I told her I could care a less these are not supposed to be delivered before the 20th that what they promised me. I told her if I knew this was going to happen I would have use Swiss Colony like the year before that they where great. I asked her about the items that went to the businesses and how did I know if anyone would even be there to get them? I asked her if they had been sent yet? She told me that they where to be sent on the 18th. I asked her but what if there is no one there to get them that these are businesses. I advised her that this is why I made sure I had a good date for everyone before placing the order. She apologized to me for the inconvenience. I told her I don't care this is so messed up that now if have to call these people and spoil the surprise. I explained to her that this is unacceptable customer service and that has really ruined my Christmas. I asked here what this was going to be like to have to call everyone and ask them if the will be there to get a gift that Figis sent early so it does not spoil. I asked her if she would want to buy a gift and have to call and tell people it was coming early? Then say your sorry, but the company messed up? I asked to speak to a supervisor to try and see if they could straight this mess out. When the supervisor got on the line I told him everything that was promised to me and that the whole order was fouled up. He said he was sorry for this and credited me back $25.00. I said well that is nice but it still does not mean that the people will even get the gifts at the 2 businesses. I told him that I was very upset. I asked him why don't the reps who take these orders just tell the customers they can't guaranty when the gifts will arrive. I asked him what was the point of me giving a date to the rep when I needed them to be delivered? He then said he was sorry again. After I got off the call I tried to call to see if the people at the businesses would be there on the 18th. But did not get through. On the 18th I called the businesses and asked if they received them? They both told me no. I called Figis again and spoke to a rep who told me that they where delivered. I told her that I just go off the phone with the people they where supposed to go to and they never got them. She placed me on hold. When she came back she told me that someone signed for them at both locations and gave me the names of the people who signed for the from UPS. I thought I was going to loose my mind because they gave them to people I did not even know. I asked the rep what if they keep them. How are you going to get these gifts back? Now my friends get nothing after I paid for it. I asked her if she was crazy? I said do you mean I paid for gifts that went to total strangers? I then hung up and called the businesses and told my friends that the gift was given by UPS to someone at the front door and gave them the names hoping they could track them down and recover the item. After a few hours I called them back an luckily they did get them back from the security guards that signed for them. Figis was instructed what floors and offices they where to be delivered to. I guess I can't really blame them this was UPS' s mistake. Even though the other gifts where sent early the people did get them. I called them all and told them how sorry I was and to make sure they went into the refrigerator until Christmas. When my family opened them they where still okay, But the quality of there petite fours are not as good as Swiss Colony's. I used them last year and they where great. After this was all over I received a call back from a supervisor a few days ago asking me if everything was okay I told him that the 2 boxes that where supposed to come to my house that I only received one on the 16th and that had no gift for my niece and her husband. I told him that when I called about that another rep told me that I would have to pay again for something I already paid for. I asked her also if she was crazy and told her I already paid for 8 boxes and only got 7. I told him I spoke to supervisor again about that and he gave me another credit fir $17.00. The supervisor said he would pass this information to his Human resource dept in hopes this does not happen again. I won't order again.

A few years back I purchased several different items from Fingerhut. Night gowns, bath towels and dishes. Fingerhut allows you to buy things from them and make payments if you need to depending on the size of the order. Well it sounded all good until you get the merchandise. The order arrived very fast, hassle free. I will never forget what I thought when I saw the items. I wish Fingerhut could have seen the look on my face when I saw there merchandise. I will never forget thinking to myself, wow where did they get this stuff out of a cracker jack box? The night gowns where so thin that you could see right through them. Although my boyfriend loved them. The only thing I might use them for was a scrub rag. The dishes where so cheap that I wound up using them for outside when I have friends over to go swimming and cook out. Chinett paper plates where more sturdy. The bath towels where so flimsy and cheap with one washing they looked like the where years old. They faded and frayed. I did turn them into scrub rags for my car. I never sent the order back because it was more of a hassle than to just eat it. I wound up making payment for over 6 months to pay it off. I sent them about 12.00 per month. About 5 months ago I ordered this for my boyfriend. He snores like a chainsaw, I thought sometimes I may need to flip him over so he would not inhale the drapes. He keeps me awake all night long sometimes. Since he falls asleep faster than me it is impossible for me to fall asleep with him sounding off like that. He gets so load sometimes that I have to leave and sleep on the sofa. I asked him if he would be willing to try and wear this thing to stop disturbing me. He agreed to try it out. We ordered it and it came in about 8 days after placing the order. The product says it will do this or your money back. Soft rubber texture for optimal comfort, revolutionary technology to enable your mouth to move freely, works immediately - out of the package and in your mouth! What a crock! This is a joke my boyfriend would put it in and at night he snored the same maybe even louder. We both got a big laugh out of him trying to talk with it in his mouth. He sounding like he was underwater. Since he loves me and wanted to make me happy he kept trying to use it. It comes with this about 6 packs of powder and 3 packs of solution and a little case to soak it in. This is to stop a bacterial buildup on the devise. After the six packs of cleansers are gone you have to keep buying this to keep it clean. There are other over the counter things to keep it clean without having to give this company more and more money. This mouth piece is as bad as it gets. I would not recommend anyone buy this, it's a scam. We never sent it back because it was not worth our time. A good night sleep for you and your partner. YEH RIGHT! Years ago I had Sprint. The service was great very clear, no dropped calls. You could hear a pin drop when talking on there phone. The bad thing is that I was a customer of there's for almost fours years. I was never late on a bill during my entire service. But one day I was at work and made a payment on there over the phone pay. The automated system said I had a bill of 39.99 but did not include a. 35cent charge. Late that afternoon I left work to go to lunch and was trying to call in an order to Pluck you chicken. Then I received a message from Sprints system that said my service was temporarily interrupted due to non-payment. It directed me right to a service rep who answered and said thank you for calling sprint can I have the number you are calling about? I answered her security questions and then ask her what the hell is going on? Why is my phone shut off. I explained to her that I was not late paying and that I called to get my balance. She advised me that the full bill was not paid. I told her she was crazy that the auto system advised me that I owed $39.99 due buy the 24th of the month. I told her today is the 10th. She told me she see's the payment that I made. But I still owed. 35 cents. I asked her if she was out of her mind are you kidding? I said I have never been late ever and you are worried about a lousy. 35 cents. You have turned this phone off for. 35 cents. I demanded she restore my service immediately. She refused until I paid that lousy. 35 cents. I had to pull over on the beltway and pay by credit card to have them restore my phone. After paying it I ask her how long it would take for my phone to come back on? She told me 7-10 hours she could not give me an exact time. It took 4 hours for my phone to come on. I called them and told them I hope your company appreciates the extra. 35 cents you forced me to pay before restoring my service. I also told them that they should be ashamed of the way they treated me a great customer who is never late. I also told them that I could understand this kind of treatment if I was someone who is always late. Or someone who was on a usage management program with them because they go over there minutes. But not VIP who never had a late bill. My final words where I hope that. 35 cents was worth the loss of a 4 year customer. Sprint has great service but lousy customer service. I have several stories about Verizon to add to Site Jabber. I used to have Sprint and they had good service BUT... My girlfriend talked me into switching to Verizon. Six years ago. Well sorry to say after I filled the two year contract my phone would no longer hold a charge. Eighteen months into the contract I called customer service and told them my phone would no longer hold a charge. They told me that I was due for an upgrade. They sent me a phone that I never picked out. They sent the wrong phone. I ordered a small flip phone that was like the LG phone I already had. Unfortunately They sent a Motorola Razor. I sent it back after calling customer service. I advised them that I still had no phone and was due a free upgrade after being a customer for eighteen months. They never sent a new phone. After three years of still staying with them fighting to get my phone to hold a charge. The only way I could use the LG phone was to keep it plugged into the charger while using it. I explained this to the representative and she told me the only way they would send another phone is for me to take out another two year contract. I ask the rep why should I have to do this when you have owed me a phone since before my two years ran out on the first contract? Then I ask her if it would make sense for me to stay a Verizon customer for three years and then when you send a new phone for me to leave? What good would that do? They refused to ever replace the phone. I made them do an adjustment on my bill because of all the months I paid for a phone that would not hold a charge. I switched to AT&T after that. I have been with them since. My second complaint with the wireless service. I ordered a wireless modem from them a few months ago. When I signed up for the service the rep told me that there was no problem in billing the service to me not to my cousins address and name. I explained that he has nothing to do with the wireless service, even though he has a land line with you. I want the bill to come in my name with the address I provide today. She said no problem. Well I waited for over a month my Verizon internet bill to come. Guess what it never did. When my cousins bill came it was bundled with his. This made him very upset because he agreed to let me have the service at his address as long as I paid for it. Also that he would have no charges for it on his bill. When I called Verizon three reps hung up on me when I tried to explain what was going on they could not find any order for internet service at this address. As a matter of fact she was looking at someone else's bill completely, telling me I owed $178.00. I asked her if she lost her mind. I told her I just got the service turned 1 month ago. She began arguing with me. I asked for a Supervisor and she dropped the call. I called back again and the next rep told me the only way to fix the mistake in billing. Was to stop my service and start all over. I asked her why she could not just separate the bill without interruption of my service? I then asked her why I should have to be without service for a week because there rep made a mistake in billing? How was that fair to me? Then she said she was sorry but that is all she could do. I Then requested a supervisor again. She transferred me to an escalations specialist which placed an e-mail for a supervisor to call me back. A few days later a supervisor called me and straightened it all out. I did get a new bill in my name only about 10 after the call. It was corrected and they even gave me a credit for the mistake. I think the resolution was good but trying to get one took me several days of calls and a lot of stress. The reps not being on the same page is big problem. Also there lack of concern for customer problems along with the lack of knowledge for account information. I expressed all of this to the supervisor who did follow up to fix this. I am not a big Verizon fan at all. Thanks to not giving up I did find a few at Verizon that did care. But what a battle. As far as the cell service? I say this can you hear me now? NO I can't. You are better off with 2 Styrofoam cups and a piece of yarn. The reception would be better than Verizon

Years ago before DVD's I received an advertisement through the mail from Columbia House. The ad said to pick 12 movies for $1.00 each. I thought this was a place to maybe get movies at a discount price. WOW what I did not realize is after they ship the movies that they bind you to a one year contract. Then you have only 12 months to buy 12 more movies at there club prices. The catch is that the club prices for any movie they have is $39.99 an up for each movie you have to buy. Before it was all over I spent $400.00 plus the $12.00 for the first 12 movies totaling $412.00 for 20 vhs tapes. Divided by 20 = $20.60 per movie. What a deal? I love the fact that they don't tell you any of this before signing up with them. Scam, scam, scam. Movie lovers BEWARE. Stay away from them. Go shopping for movies at Ebay or Amazon its safer and certainly cheaper. When I tried to call them to see if I could return the first 12 movies because I did not know that I would be obligated to buy movies at such a high cost to fill the contract. They told me that there was nothing they could do. Also that I only had the 12 months to keep from breaking the contract with them before legal action could be taken by Columbia House to recover they money I owed them. I paid they money but told everyone about there movie scam. Beware of Columbia money making house.

We all now there is no such thing as a free lunch. Although they claim to give free meals also. I found this company off of television. I ordered 2 bottles of this product called Lipozene. They promise that you will lose pounds of pure body fat immediately after you begin to take the pills. They also say that you don't have to change your diet at all. They also say that this medicine is for people who are serious about wanting to lose pounds of body fat. They advise that body fat builds over the muscle and around the waist. They also say that the drug is clinically proven to work or they will refund your full purchase price. They offer you a 30 day free trial. They send you a free bottle also just for trying the product, along with another free gift called metabo up. Well let me tell you what happened after I ordered this for my cousin. He is a diabetic who is very over weight. They sent the product after about 10 days. So there goes 10 days already of your 30 day free trial offer to refund it, if you don't like it. Well how can you tell after just 20 days if it works or not? Second its a big joke. MY cousin took a 60 day supply, plus used the free metabo up pills also and said he did not feel anything from them. The real clincher is this. The Lipozene does not work at all. My cousin never lost a single pound in 60 days. I think he even gained a little weight. So BEWARE of site. There are just in it for the money. You will be better off buying a grapefruit and eating soft boiled eggs for breakfast, then a salad with tuna straight out of the can for lunch. Then have a bowl of Special K cereal for dinner followed by a brisk walk. You will also feel better to. If you know someone in need of weight loss tell them not to bother with this junk. I hope this information is helpful to many people. Being over wight is no fun and can harm your health. It is so easy to put on the weight, But very hard to lose it. Good luck to all who are trying. Years ago when I was working at Access as a bill collector my boss was really cool he did not mind if we wanted to add some programs to our computers so we could have a little fun with this, to make a work as nice as possible. Well I asked my boss if he would mind if I downloaded some cursors? He told me thats fine, so I did after that, time went by for about 3 months. One day my boss came to my desk and told me to come in his office. So I did, he told me that he thought that the cursors I down loaded on my computer were causing his systems in our office to run slower. He asked me to go back and uninstall them out of the hard drive. So I did. After a few days of. Not having the cursors on the file. Our machines started to pick up speed again. So what was happening is that the cursors that they had may have had been really neat because they had pretty swimming fish, running little mice and hopping kangaroos and all kinds of neat things. I really could not believe this was the problem from a little cursor. After removing them I did a little investigating on my own. I found out that the cursors loaded up so much cache in the system to run then that you may have well sent in nuclear bomb to run you computer. Boy what a trip, ain't life grand. I thought to myself go and apologize to your boss for being such an dummy. Or I could just crawl under my desk and hide. Let me say this to you for words of wisdom. Don't worry about having everything in life that makes you feel good just because you think it is cute or neat. Just worry about loving GOD. Being poor is better to me than being rich, sure everybody wants money because you need it to live. But remember this my friends. What good is all that money without someone to share it with? Years ago I went on this site and got this little monkey I thought could be a helpful tool. Boy what a trip. I thought that he would just show me different things. But you have to feed him bananas to keep him going. When you run out of bananas you have to buy more and if you don't the little pest runs over your computer destroying your file and messing up your documents like putting a thousand backward PPPPPPP'S all over the place. Until your computer runs so slow you have to call technical support to remove the virus. So never click Bonzo buddy for help or you will be sorry. Sincerely Lorraine W.

I went to this site to try and add my deceased fried by the name of Darlene A Bavis. She died back in 1977 by a hit and run driver. She was the best friend ever had. I took an hour to try and send an e-mail to this site thinking that they were affiliated with the Holy Reedemer cemetary located on Moraivia and Belair Rd. In Baltimore Md. But after I explained to these people who I thought could be trusted? To please add her name to the list of deceased people they started on this site. Because my friend was buried there all by herself not even with any of her own relatives, mother father or brother. Why her dad put her there all alone is something I will never figure out. But I can tell you this she was loved by me so very much. I lost her over 30 years ago. Now being terminally ill myself, I just wanted someone to know she was there before I die. I called the cemetery on my own and spoke to the director there who told me that they have no website at all. She also told me to beware of people like these that use cemeteries as as front to hack or get identity information. She also told me that she had now idea that they did this. I told that they should be ashamed of there selves for using a cemetery to where people have love ones that died and are missed so much. I am new to this site and want to be verified as someone who can be trusted to exploit uncaring people who could hurt others. I can be verified by my former boss who owns a collection agency by the name of Access Receivables Manangement in Towson Md. www.accessreceivablesmanagement.com. When I sent them an e-mail it came back as not able to recognize the web address given and returned by mail demon. So for now beware of this site. May God bless all who read this today and forever.
