This website is made to enlighten people on different, factual problems, disorders, and they use scientific research. But they say that there is 72 different genders and identities which is factually and scientifically wrong.

Very generic not specific enough. After going through the questionnaire I was given over 20 possible problems I may have. Not impressed, and a waste of my time. I could have come up with the same list myself.

Not browser freindly.
April 25, 2018

Don't get me wrong, theres no computer virus problems, and the site obviously is full of interesting information. However, to read said information is a huge hassle on my ps4 browser. With advertisements floating over the article's pertinent information with no way to remove them, it becomes practically impossible to find answers to your important medical questions. The site also lacks any work arounds to this problem whatsoever, for example a mobile version of the site. The real kicker is there is no technical support section for the site at all, therefore making the site's owner completely unaware of any potential troubleshooting problems that visitors to the site might have.

Plain explanation
November 1, 2017

I've looked up info on a medical condition months ago and got quite a bit of info from the mayo clinic website. Today I happened upon medicinenet.com. It started at the beginning and simply explained the progression of the condition of what comes next and why with easy explanation of how your body works so it is easy to understand the natural progression of the condition and how two seemingly unrelated conditions are actually the result of the progression of the first. I'm really grateful someone took the time to make this understandable!

I was reasearching bladder cancer. A lot of their information was very good, but when I clicked on their medication link, I got a message that said my browser was out of date ( which it is not!). It then started running a buch of gibberish across the screen and said scanning! I clicked out of their site and closed my browser. They are apparently seriously infected with spyware or malware!

I visited this site tonight because I am having an endoscopy in a few days. I wanted to read a little bit on upper digestive disorders. I have been suffering with heartburn for along time. I was amazed at all of the slide shows on many different illnesses. After seeing the slide shows I was very enlightened to things I know nothing about. One of the things that was really interesting to me was the slide show about strokes. I also found the information about the brown recluse spider very interesting. I never knew that this spiders bite is more potent than a rattlesnake bite. I also found that this site has quizzes you can take, plus symptom checkers. I found this site to be helpful in every way. I hope it may be helpful for others who may be suffering from illness. Or may need to check for symptoms for any possible illness that they may have. I was on this site for a very long time. I could not get off off the site, I wanted to search and search for all kinds of things. I typed in several illnesses in that I wanted to know about. I also learned more about things that I have already been in touch with. Sincerely, Lorraine W.

I should not have even visited the site with that pearl of wisdom (you can find so much worthless information on the internet). My late Mom had trouble with wheat all her life (It seemed like her whole life to me.). I suffered from it for 30 years. It wasn't until my fourth colonoscopy six years ago (everything good) ago that I decided something had to be done. I had a comprehensive celiac evaluation eleven years ago (negative). By that time my guts were so tender I couldn't even cross my arms across my chest. I finally found an individual on the internet who seemed to have the answer: eliminate caffeine (already had), alcohol (already had), chocolate (please, not that!), carbonated beverages (already had), (might have recommended quitting) artificial sweeteners (already had), and wheat. What? Darn! I always blamed the cheese (lactose intolerance) and tomato (too acidic) when pizza sent me to the toilet the same night (I love pizza, especially the tough crust; I'd eat what my wife left). OK, stop eating wheat & chocolate. What the heck! Doctors recommend three weeks without wheat; I went three days and my tender belly was gone. I know this is anecdotal evidence. I know the fact that our daughter has stopped eating wheat and has felt better than she has in years is also anecdotal. And I know some people may not need a gluten free diet; but going from four loose bowel movements daily to one, and not having 'irritating' foods that sent me to the toilet in a few hours but needing to wait 36 hours to see if I could tolerate a little bit of wheat containing food is hard to imagine or fake. medicinenet.com is faking it too in my opinion.
