Contacted customer service who obviously didn't read anything I had written and said they could no nothing as it had been delivered. Suggested I claimed against the Post Office. Only the sender can claim.

I bought a ring in early January. It looked nice but took a while to arrive from China. I wore it today for the first time and noticed four of the small stones had fallen out. I inspected it when it arrived and it was intact. It can't be worn now and the 30 days is up tomorrow. Besides, the cost to ship it back to China with a tracking number is prohibited. I will not buy from this seller again and since I have a hard time getting on to Tophatters website to sign in, I probably won't buy period. Fun while it lasted.

I purchased a number of items in late December/Early January. Some of the jewelry is nice costume jewelry. One ring looks really cheap and I'll never wear it, but the cost of shipping it back to China is prohibitive.
Electronic and tech gadgets that I bought are not branded, the instructions are in blurry 4 point font and completely useless. Today I spent $13 to return a $36 smart watch that I was unable to do anything with because I couldn't figure out the make/model. It cost $4 to ship to me. Just not worth the bother.
3 items I ordered and paid for in late December have never arrived. I requested refunds and was told they had to ship them again. I don't want them shipped again, I want my money back. It is cost prohibitive to return ship to China. I've requested refunds several times and yesterday I filed claims with Paypal requesting refunds, since Tophatter is giving me the runaround.
At first the site was kind of fun. But not anymore. I hope to get my refunds for the 3 items that I never received, the one item I sent back to China and the item I paid $90 for that can be purchased elsewhere for $40. That one was returned to California. Just be aware of the possible pitfalls when dealing with Tophatter.

The phone case didn't even begin to fit so I threw it away. One ring 3 stones didn't fit and I sent it back to her and put a note inside saying, I don't want my money back just a larger size, so I can't wait to get it back.

I have only bought one item from Tophatter. I bought it as a fixed price. I had a very difficult time keeping track of their auctions. To fast paced for me! I did order 2 items by auction and cancelled immediately. I was then treated as a child and I was "not allowed" to bid for several weeks. "Forgive me for being a bit impulsive and most importantly, not given enough time to read discription of item".
However, I am very happy this happened! I found the "Best Website" to buy, in this case jewelry, although they do sell hundreds and hundreds of other items, at a "Fraction of the Cost" and exactly the same jewelry they are selling. Also, shipping is free but you can spend a little more for shipping if you want it faster.
The website is called "ALIEXPRESS". I can assure you, 100%, that you will be very happy, and most importantly, save a lot of money! My hope is that most people read reviews and not get "Ripped Off" by Tophatter!

This site is worhtless junk mostly imported from China. I bided on three things. Two items I could have boight from the dollar store and a sweater that was supposed to be XLG but wouldnt even fit a 5 yr old. Dont waist your money.

Spent a lot there, had a few items received broken, never received return labels as was said, was refused credits. Tophatter doesn't give a damn about their customers. After repeated messages asking them to contact me, since I NEVER receive emails from them, CRICKETS! NOTHING!
Also, don't bother ordering the aquamarine square cut earrings. EVERY single stone falls out. It's junk.
I don't care who replies to your message here, I know I NEVER RECEIVED those return mail labels and had to pay out of pocket to return them.

I ordered a ring and a set of 2 sterling silver necklaces that were Italian silver back in November 2016... the pink stone fell out of my ring... and the necklaces clasp were so small they ended up breaking off thr necklace... I've tried to contact them, i never got s response back. Never got return stickers or papers for return... i feel so ripped off again from these Chinese companies... i also was ripped of 2yrs ago from Sammy dress... same exact

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
