Has all management been fired? If not, they should be. For MONTHS there's literally nothing to bid on - if you're lucky, you'll see a max of 10 live items - used to be hundreds. How are they possibly even making money, especially without even trying to sell anything? Are you not spending money on advertising to get customers? Did all but the Chinese sellers leave? Saw some new partner program, and that looks like it DIED instantly.

As a seller, Tophatter is a complete scam!. I sold over 75 items, and you know how much I have to show for it? Absolutely NOTHING. Fees, fees, and more fees until all of my profits were gone. I am so disappointed in this company and it should be shut down.
As of this date, I have 24 items that they say we're delivered and I have yet to receive them. Sadly, I am waiting on about 100 items. I find a group most buyer need review it before order.

You might win a bid for $1 but they will cancel your order and refund your $1 just so someone else can buy it at a higher price. They won't give you your money back on you're card. They give you a credit to buy with them. This has happened alot recently. They loss me as a customer they will give cheap items that are not what toy expect

The product they sell is always seconds or damage. They made good on the advertisement and arrive as junk or damage. When your bid is kind of low, they cancel the order with the excuse of out of stock. They return money to your wallet and you can use. But they terminated my account and took away my money in the wallet. It is a scam operation.

I discovered it last Christmas and it was a lifesaver for me that year. This year I also went shopping for gifts here and the assortment was even greater.
I see many people complaining about the quality, or even saying that the products are fake… hey, this is a store that provides everything, from cheap and low-quality products, to expensive and high-quality. Choose properly and check feedback on each product.
Always quick to address any issues and always tries to make things right, if something goes wrong. I've been refunded twice and it was an easy process, also had Customer Service follow-up. What a difference that makes for your shopping experience!

Found this site randomly one night after a few drinks - it appeared to be a similar concept to ebay. It is NOT like ebay. A screen pops up with tons of items and a super quick countdown of how much time is left in the auction (generally only a few mins each) Everything looks like amazing deals - and its very fun to win an auction. Upon further use Ive come to see that even if you lose an auction the item you want will pop back up in another few minutes or so. The prices get driven up quickly so you never end up paying what you think you are going to. We bought a lot off of this site because it was super addictive - and ended up with a lot of things we dont use (why do I need a small light up teddy bear that you cant shut off without removing batteries?) I did make a purchase of 3 super cheap handheld video games with 260 games on each which are great for road trips. A hit or a miss site.

For every item you receive that is of good quality and works correctly, you receive two that do not/are not. You can return a few without any degree of hassle but then your required to return the items, which I have no issue in doing, to find out it will cost anywhere from $15.00 to $25.00 in shipping cost. It just doesn't make that 100% refundable satisfaction 100% worth it. The best part is if you try to contact Tophatter on any of this you cannot find any way to do so. So my opinion, go to Walmart, at least you can return with no hassle or penalties if the item isn't worth it.

If you have a problem with a purchase or feel you didn't receive what was described, a return request must be opened for each order that was not satisfactory.
With that said, Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. Tophatter offers Buyer Protection in the form of a 30-day Easy Return policy that will either: 1.) refund the buyer without return needed, 2.) provide the buyer with a prepaid return label, or 3.) present the buyer with the seller's address to return the item, paying for their return postage with valid tracking number.
On our platform, refunds or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns.
For internationally located buyers, we provide some store credit to offset the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer's expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller's return address to facilitate the successful return of the order. Tophatter's return policy is in-line and considered standard among the industries' competitors. Marketplaces, as an industry, institute thresholds for the number of free returns offered, to curb abuse.

Deliveries take a long time. Sometimes there's no packaging. Make sure you know your prices before you bid to get the best deal! Do your homework, descriptions are not very detailed don't assume and you'll be fine!

I don't understand all the bad reviews, I have recently just started using this site and purchased some nice jewelry on here and received every one so far. Some things take awhile as it is shipped from China but overall I'm very satisfied.
So far just about every item I've bought has been disappointing, 99 percent of items shown are tiny compared as how they looked on your ads, quality in clothing is terrible and thin along with sizing being off, just very unhappy because you think your getting a good deal but you get tiny stuff that's not even worth sending back, I'd be embarrassed to give these items as gifts

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
