I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the Attorney General, this site is a fraud and needs to be shut down.

Delete the app and shop somewhere else.

There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems

Ordered a quadcopter which was not advertised as from China - Seller claims to be from Texas - Bogus crossed out ' original suggested retail. Showed a shipper who I; ve never heard of picked the item from manufacturer in one Chinese city, passed through other ' distribution centers '... showd arrived in Canada - no shipper of this name operates in Canada. Estimated maximum arrival date was more than 30 days - It's now almost 2 months and all tracking information on Tophatter site has been completely removed. Complaint to PayPal and Zero response from ' seller ' listed as Tophatter. This is sure looking like a massive Fraud all over Tophatter. I have little doubt that I have been scammed by these con artists... based on so many complaint sites saying the same things about buyer experiences - over and over again. Sigh. I DETEST THIEVES SO MUCH.

I am not sure how you can contact the seller, I don't see access to send them a message as I can only contact customer service and they are no help.

I agree with Amber I deleted the app and will go thrift store shopping where I can see and touch the merchandise. If is too good to be true it probably is.

To the person that last commented I've seen you before and I know you work for tophatter but I have been purchasing from wish and it had just the opposite experience from them my products are on time wall package stand in good condition and have never received the wrong item, just the opposite of what happens at tophatter and tophatter doesn't care they make their money they don't go after the sellers why would they it comes out of their pocket not the sellers pocket, just as eBay did and its earlier days and some more recent cases they will find themselves in court and come out broke more than likely

Ok this is my story and at the end I'll let you know how the game is worn in all your situations I have almost 200 wins and I'm still using the $200 I started with two years ago I got over 90% of the items and the refunds in 100% of what I payed and 23 out of 27 pages of refunded items that I """" did not get """"but sure are kool... the ones that did end up showing up late. I won an auction for STERLING SILVER GENUINE GEM DIAMOND earrings and they came with no sterling mark on them and a couple stones are higher in their setting than the others and no way of even asking the seller a question?

I have received refunds from TH on several items. I also have had items I won that the seller refunds my money because the bid was low. The seller says utems are damaged. They couldnt possibly know that as they were sheet sets that are packaged. I contacted TH and received a reply thanking me for letting them know. I have always received a reply from them on complaints and have been satisfied with their responses. Ive received my fair share of Chinese junk. I have also received many items I am happy with. Sheets, paper money, coins, some nice costume jewelry ( and a bunch of tacky jewelry too).

Amazing how many people have five stars, and almost every one mentioned how great customer service is... anyone else picking up on this? If things are five star, why did you have to deal with customer service? I think these Chinese Tophatter owners are writing five star reviews... oh, and Gemm K, it was probably plated, ALMOST ALL of their jewelry is plated... you need to read the description of the item before you buy... if it is real, it will be mms thin, and very fragile... and yes, I have not had one item, that didnt come from China, though the seller said they were from the U.S... also beware of great deals on tablets... when I first found TH, I was like a kid let go in a candy store... didnt really know how it worked, and too excited to care... bought a tablet that I thought I stole for $68... until I received it... I couldnt download anything on it... I took it to my computer guy, and he said it was because it was a first generation tablet, and couldnt be upgraded... said I could be happy with my $68 coaster... :( Could not be returned due to no contact from seller...

TH emails told me untill I buy so many items I am not able to get a return label to send broken items back. Some TH reps tell you one thing and another one will tell you something else. I do not believe them any more. This site is a RIPOFF 45 days to get what you paid for and it is not what is in the sales pitch or is broken. Then you can wait 60 days for a refund. What a joke. Why do the sellers want a broken item mailed back to them? So they can rip someone else off by selling it again?

If you pay TOPHATTER using PAYPAL i think PAYPALcan get your money back from them, i am from the UK and have paid Tophatter over £250 British Sterling trying to get my 3 older children presents for Chrismas Like 3D lights, electric tooth brushes Games consoles, ETC and have received 1 Hampster toy i purchased for my pet dog, s, i let my children use my laptop to Purchase items under there own email address and tonight my oldest son get an email saying he, s broken policy rules of TOPHATTER and he cannot use there website again, but you can pay for the items you have not paid for yet, refunded him £8.00 even though one of the item was reduced by the seller it was a handheld super mario brothers came and the seller reduced the item to £3.00 and the bid ended at £10.00 so the seller sold my son the games console for £3.00, so they where loosing out on £7.00. But im just hoping when i get in touch with PAYPAL they can get my money back because TAPHATTER took it and i have only received 1 toy after spending all that money to them.so i hope anyone on here can read this and if they have been conned by TOPHATTER if they have used PAYPAL they can may be get there money back for them, as you all know. Chances are? If your seller is not responding, it may be either they are BAD sellers who do not care and need weeded out, or they could be a foreign seller, etc. If you have started a case at TH with CS, the seller will HAVE to respond or you will automatically be refunded for failure to correspond on their part. If TH did not find the seller at fault, then, that would be a matter to take to your banking institution I would suppose.
I am a seller at TH, those of us with Top Rated ranks will tell buyers. IF there is a problem. To notify us immediately... so we can remedy whatever issue might occur. Don't let the bad apples spoil your fun. To be quite honest, I recently started shopping at Wish.com... to buy some Christmas goodies. EVERY one of my orders arrived broken or wrong :( Never had an issue buying from TH. But then again, I read the descriptions and assume nothing :)

Keep all corspondents, depending how they ripped you off, says it's one thing, get it and it's not what it's supposed to be. Refusal of refund? Try letter to tophatter explaining your greivence and if they don't remedy the problem you will be forced to sou. In court. Also start what they call a case.

You really need to take the time to read ALL the information that is provided for each item. It really is worth doing. Also remember if the item your bidding on goes higher than you want to pay just stop bidding go into the information page and wait for the auction to end. Once it ends just push the reminder button so that every time it comes back up for auction you can get notified if you have setup to receive notifications. The same item you are interested in will usually be offered up for auction many times over many days and sometimes weeks or even months (off and on). Another thing to consider is that on the information page is a way to purchase the item at reasonable prices. Btw I see a lot of comments about items coming from China which makes me think that people who shop (almost anywhere in the U.S.) must not look at the tag or mark on the item they bought because for years now products have been coming out of China and many other foreign countries. If they didn't most everything we want or need would be to expensive to buy!

Keep up your complaint with the AG. TH do a lot of stuff that is not right and downright illegal! Thus far, they appear to have got away with it. What they are now doing, is if any seller dare call them out, they delete the sellers account! I honestly don't understand why the California AG has not done something about this place. Go to the sellers boards. There you will see the crap that the sellers deal with on a daily basis.

Asa far as the seller not responding, doyou know hat TH blocks the sellers after 4 weeks from having any contact with the buyer? TH is ran by idiots. They are totally unprofessional, rude and so darn ignorant of how to run an business. The owner Ashvin is only interested in his pocket, bank account. You can read online where the fool has filed bankruptcy once and may be twice. He is a big cry baby! Andrew has gone into tH like a big ole BULL IN A CHINA SHOP! The only thin he knows how to do is shut down sellers account, He has done nothing productive. Like Ashvin, he is ALL mOUTH NO ACTION.

My advice stay away from TH. It is bad news! Call the AG back. There have been issues where TH charge the seller are refund, under the pretense that the buyer has started a charge back, and on those occassions where the seller is able to contact the buyer (only if they paid via papal) often the Buyer has no idea about the refund TH demand from the seller on the buyers behalf. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS! THEY ALL NEED TO GO TO JAIL!

If you used your credit card, contact them immediately and issue a dispute. Make sure any items received have been returned. Document all information. Credit card companies will reverse the charge immediately. It's called a CHARGRBACK. I haven't bought anything from Tophatter in a long time. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
