To tell the difference, look closely at the description. The first thing to look at is the name of the auction room you are in. Some examples are "Ring Showcase", "Ultimate Jewelry Blowout", "Spectacular Ring" are usually CZ and/or not real. Auctions such as "Natural Gemstones and Sterling Silver" and "Genuine Diamond & Designer Jewelry" are usually real. Pay attention to the description and MSRP that will also give you an idea if it is real or not by what price is listed under MSRP. Look closely under the material section on the description to see what materials are used for the ring. Well they do tend to call a lot of CZ rings Engagement Rings" you just need to dig a little bit deeper than the title of the auction you are in. I have probably bought over 50 rings from Tophatter over the past few months that have all been costume jewelry but none have discolored my finger or made me break out in a rash even though I have sensitive skin. Hope this helps!

What does the description say?

Really? Why would you think you can get a decent ring for $5.00? Go on Etsy and buy something nice. Quality over quantity.

We all love diamond rings whether it would be for ourselves or to gift to the one we love. Most men and women love to gift them because it shows love and devotion towards your partner. When selecting a ring, the cut of the diamond plays an important role, and a princess cut ring raises its sparkle and is a fine choice._________________________________

It depends on what your asking is real? Most of the stones are. Cz the metal used is normally as stated. 25 sterling silver or titanium. But gold is normally filled or white gold filled. Not a bad thing because filled is more durable then all gold. Which is softer and can tend to bend and dent more easier depending on daily wear. Also I found with the probably over 50 rings I bought through this sight and research that cz stones can look more real than the real thing. A real diamond unless very high quality is really worth not much more than a cz diamond. Sad but true. Plus no one knows or cares if your diamond or any gem is so called "Real" I would rather wear a nice looking high quality cz gem than a micro dot diamond chip just cause it's real! The only thing that knows or cares is your wallet. And also most jewelery has such a huge mark up its ridiculous! My daughter's wedding ring is a 2 carat diamond but because of its clarity and quality The diamond itself is worth way less than the 12000 she paid for it. I would have rather spend that kind of money on anything else than a ring. My mom's original diamond chip on her ring bought in 1949 was worth more than some 1 carat diamonds I have seen. It's clarity and quality not the size with real gems.

A description can say whatever the seller puts in and doesn't necessarily mean it's true! TDon't go by the MSRP either, the seller can enter any amount here. He saying "if it's too good to be true..." applies with Tophatter.

Yes odzbodz is wonderful. The people are nice and very helpful. Look out for the tophatter staff, especially Robin f she is still there. They are rude and vicious most of the time.

Hi, Nissa!
Here's my experience with Tophatter as a buyer. My daughter and I have ordered several items from Tophatter. Love, Love, Love!
I researched their company before becoming a buyer about a year ago. I have gotten great deals and enjoyed the excitement of real time auctions. I have had only good experiences! I would recommend that before bidding and/ or buying, scroll down and click on the seller's name. You will be given payment options, which are PayPal (where you have an immediate safety net) or/and credit or debit cards. You are always able to ask questions. I always buy from US based sellers, as the overseas sellers take forever to deliver. I've gotten fantastic bargains. Tophatter does allow you to cancel a transaction within the first 20 minutes (approximately) after purchase. I say go for it! I know that we as consumers see complaints, but again, my experience has been fantastic. Best wishes!

Nope. They are fake. My husband bought me a beautiful ring, and now is copper looking

They are all synthetic stones, the only ones I sold were stainless steel because the bands gold up and never Change color or turn your finger green. Other plated rings will peel. But again remember the stones are cubic zirconia's. Some sellers sell genuine sterling silver and stones but they are not worth at all what you will pay. Read carefully size of stones, metal etc.

It all comes down to if it's too good to be true than its a piece of $#*! item and the seller is from Hell. I hate Tophatter. Just go to the mall because this company is full of crap. Their office is in my town and I swear they hate people especially those who show up threateningto call the FBI for Internet fraud and for bootleged purses. Fake asses!
