I have mixed feelings about Tophatter

Tophatter has great prices and you can get some nice items, but some are not as described, way too small ( sizing is Asian sizing), and a lot of items take a long time to ship ( coming from China). I think Tophatter could be improved upon. Since this is advertised on Facebook, I think clothes need to be sold in US sizes ( Most Americans have larger frames than Asians and even going up a size or two doesn't help- our torsos, arms, and legs are longer). The quality needs to improve on items and they need to look like the pictures. Another thing, something needs to be done about the long shipments. A lot of times people bid on things they would like to gift within 2-3 weeks. Some will say « Return the items you're not happy with ». It's not worth paying shipping fees back to another country. It's too costly. That is money that has basically been thrown away. I will not purchase again until some changes are made.

Bought a few items but after receiving a ankle bracelet advertised as really expensive but looked like cheap costume jewelry I began looking at the few products I purchased on line. Sure enough it was all cheaper by about 95%. Shame on me for not doing my homework and being gullible.

1st of all do not believe the positive reviews as it's TH's staff writing them so that their stars won't drop. But this company has unethical practices and treats sellers like dirt. There has not been any good change to the site even though they say their data shows otherwise. As a seller I can't even communicate with my buyers, something very shady about blocking all communication between seller and buyer. I complained and they just cut me off right away. This has been my source of income since I started a year ago and now nothing. I wish I took heed to some of these negative comments before ordering so many things to sell here.

Best prices, if it goes too high on bids just mark it to remind you next time it pops up. Returns are easy and hassle free. Jewelry is amazing and hubby loves the watches. Have gotten tons off of here for everyone in the family.

On tophatter i have seen many items that i bought from china for a couple bucks stating value is in the hundreds. Their original prices of hundreds should mean you are getting top notch jewelry. Its not even silver! Its plated with silver. Be careful what you buy. They get away with it cause the bidding goes so fast you cant read about the item until after you've won-

Tophatter does not disappoint
May 25, 2018

Have had no issues so far. I have bought all kinds of things and particularly thrilled with the jewelry (rings) that are very inexpensive but very nice. Nobody has to know they are not true precious gemstones. Amazing what they can do in a lab.

These 90 seconds auctions are so much fun it's hard to not get carried away. Prices are determined by bidders, with only very high-end items starting with reserve prices. I would advise bidders to check shipping charges carefully as sometimes they raise the total cost above retail stores. Returns and refunds are so easy, they put some high-end retailers to shame. Also, smart bidders may want to do some research the first time a new item pops up. That's as easy as clicking on the image itself and reading the full description for the item. Even if you miss out on one bid, it is sure to come around again soon and you'll be more informed and quicker to press that BID button!

The worst business model
November 7, 2018

This Tophatter site sounds a lot like madbid, which has been closed down because of dodgy dealings, but operated the same way under a similar bid scheme.

Steer well clear, stick to wish or gearbest or tinydeal if you want to to buy cheaper stuff.

Many misleading items
October 18, 2019

After numerous bids and wins i was truly disappointed with many of my items. The skeleton was 15" even though they show it on a real chair. Love my nintendo games, so far they are living up to their words.

Other than waiting for weeks for your purchase to arrive from China, this site is fun, and, has some pretty cool gear at prices that can't be beat. I have never bought so much on-line before this for fear of being ripped off. To date, my experience has been very good.

Top Hatter is like digital crack

This is one of my favorite apps on my phone! The bids are free and you can get really super high-quality items dirt cheap. Shipping is usually within a week on most items. I find myself watching bids for hours! I've got so many cool little gadgets laying around just because I was able to win them so cheap. Totally addictive it's like digital crack!

Tophatter Purchases

I've made quite a few purchases on Tophatter, and I am happy with every one of them! My jewelry is great quality, I've gotten many compliments. What I've given as gifts has made everyone very happy. I highly recommend the site for yourself or for gift-giving! Unlike other bid sites, you pay only for your winnings - there's no sign-up fees or dues! Nice variety of items, too!

Had an issue on a bid and tried to contact customer support. I wrote a very detailed complaint to them and got one sentence back which did not solve or even answer my questions. Its obvious they do not value the business they get from their customers. Also, make sure to Google products before you buy from this site because chances are you will find them for a better price elsewhere.
