Auctions won on the cheap seem to get messed up resulting in a refund. When you pay close to retail, items show up just fine. Ive had items conveniently shipped to wrong addresses and one has been sitting in preparing status for a month now. Refunds were issued, but thats not the point... if Tophatter wont push the sellers to make right on their sales, I will not continue to use their service.

Tophatter has some very nice jewellery items on offer.and in your size. There are the odd items I think mainly for boys or tomboys like Drones and other items too numerous to mention. The action is fast and sometimes anoying when things don't go your way. You just have to hang in there to spot the bargains and go for them.

Love the beautiful jewelry. Have bid on many items and now wear rings, bracelets and necklaces that look very expensive. Friends are surprised when told what I paid, and the bidding is lots of fun. It takes a little time to get, but well worth the wait.

Received USB Drive for present for Christmas. Device would not hold files.
Contacted Tophatter in January and gave them every opportunity to do the right thing, replace drive or refund. They wouldn't do either. Device was advertised as Lifetime Warranty. They do not stand behind their products, I wouldn't use them again. So no drive, no money, that is what you can expect.

Quality of items are great. Auctions are easy to handle. But deliveries are slow. PayPal connection is a little temperamental.

I have purchased a number of items from Tophatter, it is good fun and can be addictive, set a max price that you want to pay in your mind before bidding then bid away, if it goes over your price just wait a few minutes and the same item will be back up again and you can try again, that's what I do and generally you can get the item at the price you set eventually. You get what you pay for, don't expect top quality but if not satisfied then returns and refund are easy and prompt. Grab a bargain!

If you ask me can you get a good deal on Top Hatter, I would tell you yes you can, some very good deals. If you ask me how is the shipping turn around time, I would tell you it is not as bad as "Wish". Most will surprise you of the amount of time you will get your items. If you ask me about Customer Service, I would tell you they do a very good job of correcting any and all problems. They return all emails within a reasonable time frame. If you ask me about the products itself, I would tell you that out of all the things I have ordered it was 96% just like the picture! Yes, I had some hit and misses but customer service took care of it less than 24 hours!
But here where my issues begin. It was fun and exciting at the beginning and especially after I start winning bids. No bids are carved in stone and that is an excellent thing for more than one reason. Then reality set in when the same items start showing up for auctions. It was either item I have already bid on and won or items I had no desire to bid on. Now do not get me wrong, it needs to repeat itself to give you an opportunity to bid on the item(s) you want. I have a long "reminder" list and only about won about 7 items that came from my wish list. I have not seen I know about 50 other items. That problem number one. I also do not like the fact that all most of the items I have ordered came without instructions. Mainly some of the electronics. My last complaint is, You can watch your item you bided on in your account. It tells you as well as you will get an email on the status of your product you have won and/or purchase. I have my items status states "Preparing for Sipping" sometimes over three weeks before it is shipped. Why does it take so long to ship it out?
Just those are my three chief complaints about Top Hatter. I just wish they will put that large inventory they have on the auction block. Change up the items on what you can bid on. This will keep me interested and excited like I was at the beginning. Yes, run the items more than once a day but also include other products as well and have complete instruction with the item when needed. And last, ship the items out within a reasonable time frame so I can get it!:-) Bottom line great company so far! Why are they asking for an order ID on a review I do not know but here is one of many!

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
