On Friday I called NM to make sure that if I ordered a gift on Friday I would get it by Tuesday 2/13. They assured me it would so we ordered it FedEx next day. Today is Tuesday and no package. After a couple hours on the phone, they said they put the order on hold (to protect me from fraud, surely it's more to protect them because my credit card company protects me) and I will get it some time this week. Basically it was sorry but your out of luck. It's common sense that if I order something FedEx next day, I need it quickly and if you're deciding to put an order on hold, a company like NM would at least contact me and let me know that they are not shipping it. They also should have informed me of this possibility when I called on Friday prior to placing the order. Instead, what they find acceptable to rectify their screw up is to say, sorry, it's a shame that you have no gift to give today and will walk in empty handed. I specifically asked to speak to a manager, not a supervisor and after waiting on hold, I get a supervisor (exactly what I said not to do). I was and still am shocked at how poorly they handle their errors. Again, their error because nobody told me this was possible when I called to confirm that getting next day air would get it in time for the party and they said yes as well as nobody contacting me to say the order would be delayed when it was obvious that I needed it right away. At the end, the supervisor said he would credit me $100.00. Well, that will buy me a headband at NM but not make much of a dent for having to buy a 2nd gift last minute so I'm not empty handed since NM can't seem to handle a simple expedited order. Fool me once is all they will get from me and I will shop at Saks or Nordstroms instead. They haven't let me down Nd always quickly offer to make up for their very few errors generously.
The worst experience ever. For a high end retail store the customer service is by far the Worst I've ever dealt with. Absolutely disappointing.
The company sends the incorrect product in the correct packaging to customers. They refuse to correct the issue and recognize no wrong doing.

NM service is horrible for their prices! I tried purchasing an item but had issues with their website. 3 times I enter in my CC info and their website just kicks it back. So I called customer service. He apologized and placed the order for me, and mentioned he would expedite the shipping to overnight for my troubles, so I should get it by Sept 1. He ordered it on Aug 30th. On Sept 1, their website is still showing processing. So I call and speak to rep#2. The female rep tells me, my order was placed, but it's not set for overnight shipping, to which I tell her, that Rep#1 told me he would expedite shipping. Now Rep#2 tells me that she will change it to overnight shipping and I should get it by Sep2. Sept 2 passes, and nothing. I waited till Sept 7, which was the original expected date of delivery when the order was placed on Aug 30th. So I called and talk to Rep# 3. Who confirmed my item has not yet shipped, but that I should get it by tomorrow. ( i told her I heard that same story from the previous two reps, yet it never happened). The same thing, she apologized and said she will send a note to the shipping area. Upon this, I was so frustrated, knowing I probably won't get it by tomorrow. I researched NM customer service and noticed, that everyone, is having issues with them. Back in the day, when I order an item at NM, the rep would send me an email with their face picture on it, asking for feedback on their service. I thought that was a nice perk, considering NM is not a cheap-priced dept store. Now, they are no different than any other store, except for the high-end prices. So I looked around, and Nordstrom is selling the same item but $10 cheaper. I really don't care about saving $10. If I know my item ordered will arrive tomorrow, but I really don't think I will get it by tomorrow. This is not why I canceled my order with NM and ordered with Nordstrom. I won't be shopping at Neiman Marcus anymore. Too much hassle.
I wanted to return a foundation by Bobbi brown because I bought online and it didn't match my color - I live in Ohio we have a Neiman Marcus I believe in Columbu- I live in Lorain- 2.5 hours away. I knew I would be out of town to Birmingham and Tampa and figured I would return/swap it to a different color then but it was thanksgiving week so I didn't really have time to go to the store, I later knew I was coming to Phoenix so I knew there was a NM store here, but apon arrival, I wasn't greeted or no one tried to help, so I continued to select the color I'd like to swap, and asked for assistance but the lady behind the counter said to go somewhere else as she was checking someone else out, I did and Jody claimed I used the foundation, I know I didn't because it wasn't my color, so she said she'd get the manager. Manager was rude and blatantly said I used it it can't be returned or swapped- I said I didn't use it then she looked at the date when purchased- then that was her other excuse. It was 2 days over purchased from 30 days. Smart mouth said well you could have mailed it back! I wish I knew her name but I didn't get it. It was on December 19th approx 3:30 at fashion square NM! No class at all from any of the workers in the makeup department
On 3/1/16 I ordered a gift for a friends Birthday on Saturday 3/5/16 and I ordered it because NM's website promised it would be there on 3/4. I received an email on 3/2 with a fedex tracking that should it would be there on 3/4. This email was send out on 3/2. I waited around all day on Friday 3/4 the order never came and I did NOT receive an email indicating the date would change at all. Finally after waiting all day into the night of 3/4 I decided to track the package with fedex, only to find out the date was changed to MONDAY 3/7 Monday. NM did NOT provide an explanation as to why the Package would not arrive on the date they promised. Their website clearly gives customers exact delivery dates, so most people will order with the perception that they will receive their purchase items on the promised date only to find out the dates are wrong. I called Customer service and no one could explain to me why the date changed. The person on the call was provided no assistance and was rude. They had the nerve to offer me 10 % off for this HUGE inconvienience! I told them they need to change their false delivery dates advertisement. The whole reason I decided to make the purchase was because of the promised date. I now have to purchase a gift elsewhere because this gift will NOT be on time. I am now inconvenienced and will have to go into the store to return the item! Going online to make a purchase is supposed to be an convenience and now because of the false dates on their website I have to wait days for the delivery only to drive to a store wait in a line to return an item I no longer need. This false advertisement has made them lose a sale. Please take down your delivery dates because they are false. NM I am completely disappointment, inconvenience NM has caused me. I truly expected a successful purchase and good customer service in which I received NEITHER from NM... People BEWARE-- DO NOT count on the delivery dates on their website because the are FALSE!

I ordered a Johnny Was *******@348$. Two days later I received a box from NM thinking my bag had arrived. Inside was a pair of Louboutin Ankle boots $950 in a size 6! Looking at the invoice, my bag was listed as I had ordered, nothing noting these shoes! I telephoned customer service very alarmed I now had merchandise I never ordered and how to return. I contacted CS 4 times. The first time, CS rep said she would issue a Fedex return pu for the following Tuesday. Until then I would not receive my bag nor a refund. The shoes have to come back first. Right there being held hostage for their mistake. I was told if I left them outside on my porch an they were stolen I would hav to pay for them! I said I was not going to say home all day waiting for FedEx! I left the shoes out and came home. Still there. I called customer service at 6pm and was told the shoes were picked up. I said no I am holding the box inside as we speak. The CS Supervisor said they showed pu by FedEx an hour earlier. Aiyiyiyi. I asked twice to have a return label sent to me and I would take it to Fedex personally and get tracking. The CS supervisor said the label would be sent within 24 hours. At 9pm last night I received 2 emails! One declaring a pu by Fedex was schedued today on Thursday. The second cancelling this pickup! STILL NO RETURN LABEL SENT TO ME TO DROP THE SHOES OFF. I reached back out to this Supervisor at CS via email stating I was going to contact NM Corporate and what had transpired. NOT A PEEP! I still have the gd shoes, no bag and 348$ stuck on m credit card for nothing! The boots are now my responsibility they stated. THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES EVER. I have left a message with the head of Customer Service in Dallas Corporate to get this merchandise back! This is absolutely ridiculous and I will never shop here again.

I ordered some items on 11/23 and they canceled it the next day. Without letting me know any specific reasons.
I tried to solve the problem and call them after they cancel. They replied with There is trouble with your payment information," and would not give me any further details. I explained that I already shopped at Neiman Marcus numerous times, and don't understand why there is an issue now - with all the previous orders to show it. The customer service replied by saying it was their "actions department" in charge of cancelling orders, and even the supervisor of the "customer service department" did not have any jurisdiction to receive and answers. Honestly, I used to love shopping at Neiman Marcus. After trying really hard to solve the problem and ask the supervisor how to solve the problem, and why I couldn't even get a straight answer to why my order was cancelled, she actually replied this: "Sir, Neiman Marcus actually holds the THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY ORDER FOR ANY REASON."
This is ridiculous but is not the worse part.
I paid the order with my credit card and $150 gift card. They never returned my 150 gift card!
Until today, I tried to contact Neiman Marcus to ask what had happened to my $150 gift card. All they said was they issued a check and sent it out 10 days ago, WITHOUT TELLING ME, or CONFIRMING with me WHERE. Now I have to stupidly wait another day so they can contact another "department" customers can't contact to give me an update.
I seriously feel this company has no honor what-so-ever and their actions are literally fraud.
