To be honest, Facebook is just 'blah'. It's just there. Nothing special, average features and nothing innovative about this platform. They are pretty extreme on negative comments. Too extreme if you ask me.

The Facebook market is full of scams. If you are looking to buy anything off Facebook, be very cautious. There are also a lot of fake profiles scamming people.

Trying to contact Facebook about issues or help with anything is 100% impossible. Their support documentation is mediocre at best. But hey!... at least we can keep in touch with people from high school. That's all Facebook is good for.

Tip for consumers:
If you're bored, log on Facebook and look at memes.

Armani has been one of my favorites. I love the website layout and design. Finding what you are looking for is easy. The product pages are well done and their FAQ is to the point. Their physical locations are also fantastic.

With that said, let's get down to the product quality. From my experience, the quality has been superb. I've ordered online numerous times through armani.com and my orders arrived within the schedule time frame. The quality of the products were to be expected for the price I paid and I usually order multiple items for free shipping and discounts.

There was only one time I had to return an item because I ordered the wrong color. The return was easy and an exchange was done. Customer service was great.

Tip for consumers:
The website is fairly easy to navigate and the design layout looks great. You will have no issues finding what you need.

I love Gucci, it's one of my all time favorite brands. However, the text on the website is literally small on desktop and tablet. The mobile site is a little better. The site is easy to navigate and the product pages look great.

Other than the website issues, the product line is flawless. The clothing, accessories and even the beauty line are simply amazing.

Gucci is high-end so they are expensive but the quality is great. Some of their accessories are overpriced though.

Tip for consumers:
Gucci offers PayPal checkout and Amazon Pay. Gucci also offers Affirm, which you can use for monthly payments. Just a note, Affirm is a loan lender.

Products used:
Dresses, shirts, jeans/pants, sandals, sneakers, shoes, cosmetics, fragrances, scarfs, sunglasses, hats, handbags, wallets, jewelry, other accessories.

MTV is bad. No, really bad. They completely changed their direction in the past couple of decades. It went from music television to reality TV, it's just horrible. The reality TV shows on MTV are not even good. Go back to music videos, please. I think everyone has had enough.

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother with MTV.

Twitch was great years ago but over time they just have been going downhill. There are a lot of people who don't even stream games on their platform. There are people who just sit their in a bathtub and just talk for hours about how pathetic their lives are [people actually view this stuff]. How does this relate to gaming? You have people who stream sitting in a bikini while asking people for money. How does this relate to gaming? What's the point of having a Terms of Service? What happened with Twitch?

Tip for consumers:
Twitch doesn't enforce their Terms of Service.

  • Bluehost

BlueHost has the worst customer service in any company that I had ever dealt with. Trying to get issues fixed on your hosting account is nearly impossible. They outsource everything to India. No one is trained properly and their technical expertise doesn't exist. When sending in a ticket about an issue or using their live chat, you get generic copy and paste answers. I had to get my issues escalated 4 times until it hit BlueHost's parent company "Endurance" and Endurance was even worse. Do not host with BlueHost.

Tip for consumers:
BlueHost is the same as Hostmonster. Hostmonster is their sister company. Both companies are owned by Endurance International Group.

  • Weebly

7/21/21

Weebly is an average website builder. However, it lacks in features. You can signup at Weebly and use the builder on their hosting servers or you can signup with BlueHost and use theirs.

If you signup to use the Weebly website builder with BlueHost, you will be using an outdated Weebly version since the updated Weebly builder won't be pushed out to them for some time. So that means new features that are live on weebly.com won't be available on third-party platforms. The only pro to using Weebly on BlueHost is that you will have more control of the back-end server configuration.

Creating a website through weebly.com would be a better choice if you're looking for the new live features and don't want to mess with anything on the back-end. Weebly takes care of everything on the back-end (e.g. Server issues). All you have to worry about is the front-end, building your website and publishing it. It's simple. Weebly is for average people who have no coding experience and just want to build a quick website.

Weebly in general lacks major features and they also prevent basic visual features from displaying on your website. For example, if you have a video background, the video only plays on the desktop version of your site. The mobile version, the video background is static [it does not play]. Weebly prevents video backgrounds from playing audio as well. Another disadvantage with Weebly is parallax images, they only work on the desktop version, the mobile version they are static.

Using Weebly for eCommerce is not great. Trying to run an online store via Weebly with lacking eCommerce features would not be beneficial for your business. There is no flexibility with customizations using Weebly for eCommerce.

Weebly support is lacking. The support is through their forum community and there is only 2-3 Weebly staff that ever answer or reply to your questions. Some community members will also help you out.

Weebly's pricing plans are expensive for their lack in features both on the front-end website builder and at server level. Basic HTTP security headers are missing at server level, they don't use an email server so you have to pay for a third-party email service to use, you can't control your Content Security Policy (CSR), their plugins/add-ons are terrible, and trouble shooting console problems that appear in your browser are impossible.

Tip for consumers:
If you are looking for an easy way to build a website fast, SquareSpace is a better option. It's the same concept as Weebly but a level above in quality and service.

  • Trustpilot

Just like the title says, Trustpilot removes reviews. I had an account with Trustpilot for 7 years and the majority of every negative review I do gets removed. When contacting Trustpilot, they say, "We can't tell you why we removed your review." I just had enough so I moved on over to Sitegrabber.: P

Basically, companies report negative reviews and since Trustpilot gets paid by those companies, they remove it otherwise those companies will cancel their contracts with Trustpilot. It's a worthless review site and all the positive reviews are literally fake. The fake reviewers are located overseas and get paid to post positive reviews and Trustpilot allows it.

Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your time doing reviews on Trustpilot, they will just remove it.

  • SquareSpace

7/20/21

Squarespace is a pretty good website builder for an average user. However, it lacks in features. It's simple to get started and the learning curve is moderate. I recommend Squarespace for portfolios and vCards only. The features and flexibility for using Squarespace for an eCommerce site is not great. Overall, the website builder is good.

Tip for consumers:
If you don't know how to code and need a website for a portfolio or vCard, Squarespace would be a good fit. They are moderately expensive for the lack of features they offer.

Every experience I had with purchasing Dolce & Gabbana products has been outstanding. You can easily order online or shop in one of their stores. I prefer the physical approach and shop in store for clothing and cosmetics. The only time I shop on their website is for accessories and handbags.

Tip for consumers:
Dolce & Gabbana are high-end and expensive. The quality of their products are great. They offer PayPal checkout and Amazon Pay. They do not offer Afterpay or Klarna.

Clothing, cosmetics, accessories, footwear, and handbags

  • Twitter

7/20/21

Twitter is a social media platform that caters to one political group in America and a political ideology that is common around the world. They are known to censor (with evidence) conservatives on their platform, suspend or delete accounts related to conservative beliefs. I am by all means not a conservative, I live in Italy and my ideology is based on the beliefs of democratic socialism. My issue with this platform is their favoritism towards one group and completely ignore or shut the other group out.

Tip for consumers:
A very bias social media platform, use with caution.

  • Zara

7/20/21

The clothing is good quality and the beauty line is also as good. The beauty line is so underrated and deserves more recognition. Zara is just missing the opportunity here to push it more but trying to showcase any of their products on their website is a major issue.

Their website is archaic and horrific to navigate. I never purchased anything from their website just because it looks like nothing would work. You have to traverse through numerous pages to get to the products. Just view the website, you hit a homepage that literally has nothing on it. Then, you have to click to get in to the main content of the site. The main content you land on has nothing to do with any of their products which they should be focusing on.

The stores are fine, never had an issue in one. The layout and merchandised displays are well presented. The employees in the location where I shop are nice and helpful. Kudos to the store level presentation which is an eye freshener compared to their online presence.

Zara as a company needs to reevaluate a few things, revamp their website and push their cosmetic line more aggressive. If things don't change, it's just an average brand to consumers.

Tip for consumers:
Their cosmetic line is underrated. If you haven't tried any of their beauty line products, I recommend doing so.

Products used:
Clothing and cosmetics.

  • Sephora

I usually order my cosmetics online through Sephora since they have a variety of brands. I never had an issue with the order process and shipping. The quality of the brand I usually order is fabulous (Nars, btw). The only issues with Sephora that I have are—the website is over-saturated with useless features and they offer Klarna instead of Afterpay (which I believe they offered Afterpay awhile ago but Klarna is the only option).

When I shop online, I want to easily find what I want and not have to be bothered with features that provide no use (e.g. Community Forum, Groups and Gallery). It's an eCommerce website, not a social media/review platform. It's just too much! People like minimalist layouts that focus on your content, which in this case would be your products.

Tip for consumers:
Sephora uses Klarna not Afterpay so you would have to signup for a Klarna account to take advantage of the pay later option.

Nars Cosmetics

Product quality is great. I never had an issue with their products and usually use Nars for my everyday makeup. I usually recommend them for almost everything with makeup applications. I also recommend some of their beauty supply tools (e.g. Brushes and Sponges). Nars is high-end so they are on the steep end of the price tag but well worth it.

Tip for consumers:
Take advantage of Afterpay.

Products used:
Concealers, foundations, brushes, eyeshadows, eyeliners, and more!
