WORST SERVICE EVER
June 2, 2020

I ordered about $50 worth of clothes. Then I received an email that my order has been shipped back the the store for no apparent reason after I waited 3 weeks for my package. Then didn't receive a refund or my package. I've emailed them millions of times and all they say is I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The customer service hotline doesn't even work. I do not recommend shopping online at Rue 21.

Disappointed!

I ordered 2 sweaters online and I was happy at first because I only paid $16+ plus after tax and additional 25% off plus free shipping. After two days, I checked my credit account and found out that they charged me $23+. I called the customer service about it but they cant do anything to return back the difference because the order was already final! What a disappointment! I will never order in this store again. They are trying to fool customers just to sell their items! Poor customer service!

It was back to school shopping time and there was nothing more I wanted than a pair of boots that at least symbolized doc martens. I went there and bought these exact boots (refer to photo) they were barely worn and somehow the materials on the toes were starting to peel off, and not to mention the bottom yellow part came half way off when I was taking them off. I definitely do NOT recommend buying the boots, Doc Martens are worth the investment.

Not a Fan

The deals and sales on Rue21.com are amazing! There's just one problem... Their sale items are constantly out of stock and they do not regularly update their web page.

On three occasions--all back to back-I spent several hours picking out items, adding them to my cart, deleting items, comparing items--until I had exactly what I wanted at the price I wanted. All the items were said to be in stock so I went ahead and placed the order. A few days later an email notification arrives in my inbox alerting me that some of the items were out of stock. They promised to ship the items that were available and refund the remaining amount--which they did.

The infuriating part of the whole ordeal is I ordered at least 15+ items all three times and only two, one or no items were available! It was a complete waste of my time and a hassle I decided I should forgo. I have not and will not order from this site again.

I was invisible!?

Not one time was I greeted, or asked for assistance? Had $500.00 to spend but because I was looking poor and colored the 4 women behind the counter at Northwoods Mall in North Charleston totally ignored me! Even at check out the girl never said anything but how much I owed. They were all standing behind the counter on cell phones or chatting away. I will never walk into Rue 21 again! Don't judge a book by the cover!

I ordered some shorts from rue 21 and never received them when I called the customer service number for rue 21 it said that they dont take calls that's an issue that needs fixed I probably wont be ordering from them again unless they can make sure your package will get to you

Usually, i can say a eight or nine fits me pretty well, i'm 5'8 and 145 pounds, so definitely not a plus size. But if I go to Rue21 to find cute pants that fit? I CAN'T. How do they expect anyone to buy jeans if their size 18 fit the exact same as the sixes or the fives? Now don't get me wrong they usually do a good job on shirts and the rest, but it seems like all their pants are meant for short, skinny girls. And if you're already self conscious about your body, it's just not a good place to shop.

Still processing!

Placed my order oct. 2. My order is still processing. I've called customer service 3 times in regards to this and they can't even give me possible date of when my items will be shipped. This store is all about false advertisement! About 6 months ago I tried to place an order online that stated "additional 50% off clearance" in reality it was up to 50% off in general. Since the discount didn't reflect at check out, I didn't place the order. Called customer service and explained that they needed to remove that ad, cause it was false advertisement. And as far as my current situation, advertising shipment in 4-7 business days is also false advertisement. This company really needs to honor what it advertises. I understand circumstances change, but this has been going on for over a month (according to previous reviews). By now there should have been a warning of some sort posted on the website to alert potential buyers. You would lose a lot less business!

Poor customer service

Very poor customer service poor inadequate training for representatives who handle customers my 10 yr old granddaughter ordered ear buds card got charged and they failed a child who doesn't have parents by telling me I have to repay again after I got charged for them what kind of a company does this! I will always give you bad ratings and never shop there again in my life! Shame Shame on you Rue 21

I would like to say as a consumer you should get what you pay for... I paid 18$ for two business day shipping. I'm receiving it 7 days later! Explain that? Called and complained... ups was closed two days. Ok. Plus two weekend days... so... That's 4 days lost. On 6 day where is my delivery? I'm just saying this was not clear when I placed the order. Make your ordering process more clear! You are a consumer fraud!

Shoes runs big!

I bought 5 pairs of booties I'm size 6.5 but since they don't carry my size only small medium and large. I ordered small (6/7) and it's most like 7 It looks big on my feet. And for those that made an order YES it takes so long to arrive mine took like 2 weeks.

Online ordering

DON'T DO IT! Im only leaving a one star because it will not allow anything less. I ordered something online, they sent 2 packages, with the same tracking number, only one was mine. The one which was not mine, was delivered. The other left at post office. I paid to get it out, $10, only because my daughter needed it for her dance solo. They tell me they can't refund me and that it is my problem. Their customer service sucks, they don't want to help... and barely understand you and you can barely understand them over the phone. Dont waste your time or risk money with the company.

I really wish I read reviews before purchasing, better yet I should have just went to Victoria Secret for my under clothes. I never received my package I call customer care and say hey I don't need a refund I would just like those items shipped out to me. Rep says they don't do that ok so I'll take a refund she states for me to call back in 10 days and they still can't guarantee a refund. I tried to call their corporate office no answer. I will be all over their social media until my situation is resolved!

I placed an order on rue 21 and they took it out of my account 3 different times I called the company and they didn't even act like they wanted to help me! I am completely pissed off about this and will be done as an online customer! They need to get there $#*! together!

This site is absolute garbage! Never order from here. I ordered many items. Took almost 4 days just to get a tracking number. Then, I'm told that one of the items is out of stock after having already paid for it. Had to email and call customer service just to get a refund... which I was told could take up to 30 days. Then, two days later... the day before my package is supposed to arrive, I get an email that everything is being returned (I didn't return $#*!) so once again, I had to call customer service and be on hold for 15 minutes, just to be told that they have no clue what happened. So now, I have to wait until tomorrow and hope it gets delivered and if not, I have to call back AGAIN and start the process of trying to get a refund. I am pissed. This website is an absolute scam. I will never order from this site again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know the same thing.

So slow

I prefer to only shop online. Never again will I ever shop at Rue 21. The slowest shipping in the history of online shopping. I felt like I was on eBay purchasing something from China. I rather shop at Charlotte russe it's so much faster then Rue 21 and I thought that was kinda slow.

Never again! By the time you get it your merchandise, it will be out of style.
Customer service was no help! Don't even bother wasting your time calling them.

I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of clothes for my Granddaughter's and they love everything so far. I did buy myself a sweater and really liked it but, the kids made fun of me so I gave it to my daughter. We have only shopped the sales so the price was right every time too. No problem with returns, I shop online and exchange in the local store.

I had been ordering from Rue 21 for a while but they definitely lost me as a customer. I haven't purchased a thing from them since my customer service experience. The woman on the line was rude and wanted me to pay an extra 20 dollars to deliver to another address because they failed to deliver on time. It took an entire month to get my order when it was supposed to be 2 weeks. She also hung up on me.
