I purchased 3 pair of jeans which are already ruined after only wearing them twice. 2 of them were black and brown and are now Grey and the other pair have patches that are falling off. I would like to start out by saying how EXTREMELY upset I am in the lack of customer service in this company. I have called customer service TWICE and spoken to two different people about this issue and it is still not resolved. I paid online with my debit card and the money was taken out of my account the moment that it was placed. I checked my account to confirm that the money was taken out after I placed the order. I then canceled the order a few minutes after it was placed. I received the conformation email that it was canceled. With that being said, I have still not received my money back. The first time I called Rue21 customer service was November 30,2017. The woman that I spoke to informed me that I should have already received my money back because it takes 3-5 business days to be put back onto the debit card. She told me that she was going to send an email to corporate to request my money for me. She told me that the request should take 3-5 business days to complete. That never happened. I then called Rue21 again on December 8,2017 and spoke to a man about the issue. He informed me that the money would not have been taken out of my account until after the order was processed. That is not the case at all since the order never processed and my money was taken out of my account. I informed him of this situation and he argued with me about the problem saying that it is not possible that this would happen. After this conversation, I was EXTREMELY upset about the problem and I demanded that he give me the number for someone higher than him because whatever customer service is doing is NOT fixing the problem. He did not give me any information but he did tell me that he would contact corporate and he told me that someone would contact me within 24 hours. This has still not happened and it has been 2 days. This is very unprofessional. I have already spoken to the people at my bank about the problem and they are helping me with the problem as well. This is absolutely ridiculous that no one is helping me on this situation. I have worked as a manager in retail and I know what customer service is supposed to look like and this company is the worst that I have seen. I will be telling anyone I know about my experience and I am never shopping with this company again after this problem is resolved.
I placed an order for a dark purple floral print chiffon kimono on-line. When it arrived
I opened the package to find an ugly army green floral rayon fabric kimono (I would have never ever ordered this color kimono.) I immediately called customer service who would only reconcile THEIR error by refunding me my purchase price only when they received the item back to their warehouse! I asked the rep why on earth should I have to wait for my CORRECT ORDER to be shipped out to me when none of this was my fault to begin with and she wouldn't take any ownership for the companys' screw up. I settled as I wasn't getting anywhere with this woman and she assured the CORRECT ITEM would ship out as soon as they received the tracking number for the one I had to return. I get the SECOND ORDER only to find that it was THE SAME ARMY GREEN FLORAL KIMONO THEY HAD SENT ME THE FIRST TIME! Needless to say I then get on the phone with customer service yet again! This representative couldn't begin to imagine how they screwed my order up BOTH TIMES and, again, their resolution to their screw up yet again was to refund me my $ when and only when the wrong item was shipped back! But that's not the worst part. They expected me to ship that second wrong kimono back to them at MY EXPENSE. UMMM, HELL NO, I don't think so! I had to argue with the rep just to get a paid return label e-mailed to me. This whole situation was completely and totally unbelievable. I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional and ignorant customer service in my entire life and I order off the internet continually. IF YOU EXPECT TO GET WHAT YOU ORDER HASSLE FREE DO NOT SHOP AT RUE21! I will never make the mistake again!
