I ordered several items for Xmas presents from Neiman Marcus with plenty of time for delivery, but paid for expedited anyway, it is December 22nd and I have received not of them. I have tried to call, but have been disconnected 4 times after long waits. They use to be a very high end store, sadly they are no longer!
I placed two separate orders with next day delivery. BOTH times the orders never shipped out until several phone calls and text messages and four days later. Once they did ship Neiman Marcus did not ship express. It was standard mail. So the item I needed by a certain date arrived two weeks later. I will never ship at Neiman Marcus again. I have never been so dissatisfied with customer service. Horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they have to close within 7-10 years because they miss the mark with upscale service.
I ordered many items on Neiman Marcus website. Most of these orders were cancelled 4-5 weeks later due to the items been oversold. There are few items which are still delayed and most probably will end up to be cancelled as well. There is one order with 2 items which they said that they have it in the warehouse, but Neiman Marcus has a problem with a warehouse, so they do not know when this order is getting shipped. I order these items as birthday present 1.5 month in advance. There is still no information when the order is getting shipped.
I don't know why there are so many positive reviews on this website?! It's simply the worst experience I ever had with an online store. I tried to order an item more than five times and all my orders were cancelled without notice... I tried two credit cards and Paypal as well, all were cancelled because they "couldn't verify my billing address". So I reached it out to their customer service and they asked me to send to them a copy of my bank statement to their credit card authorisation department... It bothered me but I did what they ask to prove them there are sufficient funds on my credit card, I sent an email and when I checked back to my account one hour later my order was cancelled! What a JOKE! Never ever going to order again from this scam website! I recommend instead to shop on Nordstrom, they have a great customer service and never had a problem with them.
The try to remove the promo code when you place the order and delay the sending of gift card, so they can tell you your are not eligible later. I initially thought it's a rumor but unfortunately I was the unlucky one on my first try. Also the gift card will be sent in 6-8 weeks and expire really quickly so most of people will forget them. Take the warning, and think twice before you buy.
Neiman Marcus will promise any delivery time AND take the extra money for the expedited delivery charge. Then you will get a Thank-you email with Caveat the delivery "May" be delayed. They have excuses not discussed prior to the sale. I am on day 4 of a OVERNITE delivery that has not even been given a tracking number. Their current excuses? Gift wrapping delay, coming from a "store" vs... what? All excuses I should have been made aware of before I chose to depend on when I bought and paid for next day delivery. Now they cannot cancel the sale either so the package will sit on a porch - if it's ever delivered. My problem if it's stolen off porch. Another expensive coat was delivered on time last eek BUT had white dog hairs all over it and the zipper was stuck. Apparently a return not checked at all... Ugh. BUY ELSEWHERE!
The worst customer service ever! I spent one hour chatting with two different persons trying to return a gift my husband bought for me and there wasn't any solution but to call and 800 number and explain all over again!
A waste of money ( the gift) and a waste of time!
I hate how they have online promotion but no products in their warehouse to ship as a whole order in one box. They always ship separately for one order. It's very shameful of neiman marcus. Are they having problems of stocking up inventories or what? So I ordered Dior lip balms with different colors and like what they always do never have product in their warehouse to ship. They always request from store location and those store locations have a few product in store also. If don have products to sell close the door!
I ordered a pair of Christian Louboutin heels ( I typically order directly from them but they did not have my size in stock). Found my size on Neiman Marcus, paid full price, and when they were delivered, I found fake shoes and a fake box inside. Needless to say I was infuriated and also glad I knew enough to know they were fakes.
I received a gift and wanted to exchange it for something I could use. I had no gift receipt, but the item is on their website and the sales person said this is exclusive to them. They refused to take it back for store credit. It was unopened in original NM wrapping and all I wanted was a credit. I asked for the store manager, he blamed in on the computer system. I've been in that industry for 35 years, and that can't be. A store manager ALWAYS has a way to handle this if he/she chooses to. The Boca Raton Neiman Marcus manager was rude, and could of cared less. I could receive better and nicer service from Walmart. It was their item, and now it's a donation.
I have shopped at NM for years spending many $$$$$. However, tonight (and it has happened before) they had to go into a deep dive for my credit card that had plenty of $ available for purchase. Credit card company called me and I answered all questions (of course, it was my credit card). However NM did not approve purchase and now that credit card is restricted! I will never shop at NM again!
No wonder NM is hurting financially and going out of business.
I purchased an eye cream, which had one good review with 5 stars and no other reviews so I thought, yay no bad reviews. I used it and the cream does nothing at all and gives very burning sensation. I submitted a review for it on Neiman Marcus and gave it 1 star, they never posted that review. I checked other products on the website and they either have one 5 star review or no reviews at all. What a scam
The employees are friendly but the company and its policies sucks! You make it so hard to shop with you and if the purchase is not satisfactory you make it so difficult to return it especially with online purchases! I hate Neiman Marcus! They're not in tuned with their shoppers, I hope they go bankrupt soon! Supposedly a high end store but the company's policies and guidelines are meant for low end! This certainly reflects how the management runs the stores. Even their online shopping is very confusing, it takes too long to deliver, and it's almost impossible to return!
I ordered a make up. When it finally arrive through fed ex, box arrive but the bag was stolen from inside. The delivery driver took it. I call for another and claim was denied. I wouldn't go through all this to get another bag that was only 20 dollars. So now they are refusing to replace and/or refund.
Poor online service. They can`t answer obvious questions concerning return policy. It`s very important to know that you can return things you buy online because you can not try them in the fitting room. So the associate didn`t give me a certain answer on return policy so that I don`t shop here online
I ordered a belt on thier site and at first the price matched with Saks Fifth Ave. After 2 days the canceled the order without even letting me know. I called up and spoke to them and they told me that it was in fact not the same belt which a lie as just before they said it was. The Rep even opened up both matched side by side and saw it was the same but lied and said theirs is different. I am extremely upset with customer service there is a saying that everyone knows the customer is right. I will never ever order anything for Nieman Marcus again.
I have purchased about 10 items and they split it into 3 parcels. First one never arrived and second one was damaged and only the candles in the third parcel had no problem. Try to speak to Neiman Marcus about claiming the lost of the first parcel but the claim was denied without a reason. Also the second parcel the customer service rep said I can make a claim but at the end the claim was denied again. So i end up spending $500+ for a candle and have to dispute the charge from the bank as they refuse to refund. What a headache and I will never ever shop online from this store again
Bad customer service.
As a return customer, I reopened my Neiman cc and placed an order. After a week of waiting, I went on line and discovered that my order got cancelled. The items I wanted to be purchased were no longer available. The order got cancelled without a notification or explanation. I called customer service and was told that the store needed to verify my personal information. We were trying to reach you However, no one called or texted, or e-mailed me.
I am receiving the promo e-mails but, as of today- 2 weeks later, I am have not had a single e-mail: we are trying to reach you
I am on hold with the verification department now for 10 minutes, listening to this awful musicI finally got a voice mail...
I think I am done now. Time to shop elsewhere.
Worst customer service, terribly slow shipping times, return process for international buyers is a nightmare, more than 4 weeks since my return package was sent and still no return/refund processed. After i followed up with them (after 3 weeks of them having my return package) they said i need to allow another 30 days for the return to processed. 30 DAYS! This is a major online retailers and this is the worst return process i have ever dealt with. They hold on to your money and don't process returns - almost convinced its a scam. They want you to forget about your refund. Dont bother. NETAPORTER and FARFETCH far more premium destinations to shop. I would NEVER shop with Neiman Marcus ever again.
I've had multiple bad experiences with buying from them online. I can't count the number of times where my order keeps getting canceled for whatever reason they give.
I also had problems with their promotions. I clearly placed an order where the promotion for a gift card applied. The website even said in red letters that the promotion applied after I entered the promo code. I waited for over two months for the gift card because they will only give you the gift card after two months. However, it never came and I called just to be told that the promotion never applied.
I will NEVER buy from Neiman again. They are terribly ran and have extremely poor customer service.
