(Update 13/07 - being asked for a further USD$35 fee for 'remote area' - no notice taken of anything I have said to customer service.)
I should say at the outset that I live in the centre of a major UK city, Edinburgh. It does not feature on the 'remote area surcharge' lists on any UK delivery company. That idea would be absurd.
Please note the following sequence of events.
1. I made an order for a phone and accessories on 4th July including express delivery to UK. Phone supposedly in stock and delivery to be by 15th July at latest.
2. Told that I had to pay a surcharge for a different delivery method, as Yodel delivery company had told them they could not deliver to my address as it was a 'remote area'. (This company has delivered several times over the last few years with no mention of any ridiculous surcharge - I see their delivery vans several times daily in the streets around where I live). Argued this extensively, but in the end paid this just to get the order dispatched with DHL instead.
3. Phone accessories (separate order from phone - apparently from Chinese warehouse, but shipping shows also from Hong Kong) dispatched via DHL. No mention of any extra charges. Total value of order USD$43.
4. Custom clearance fee of GBP£17 requested by DHL with no breakdown of how this fee was calculated. It represents around 50% of the value of the goods in the package. Paid this too to get package released.
5. Second 'remote area surcharge' requested by Gearbest on phone delivery. This was for the same delivery for which they had already requested (and received) an extra charge for it to go with DHL. Checked list of DHL 'remote areas for 2017'. No mention of my city or any other city in the UK on their list - only remote rural areas. The other parcel (accessories) came from them via DHL as normal - with no surcharge.
6. Meantime I discovered (a couple of hours after the phone accessories were dispatched) that they will not have the actual phone in stock until 17th July earliest - too late for the birthday I wished to give it away for.
At a push, I can imagine one mistake with 'remote area surcharges' and Yodel. But to ask me to believe both Yodel and DHL are telling them central Edinburgh is a remote area of the UK is just not credible.
Someone is trying to scam customers by collecting these fake fees.
I'm not sure how to proceed, but will certainly never use their site again. Time and frustration wasted.

I came here to share my opinion with other people with two power banks that i bought there. I bought one in November 2016 and another for a family member in May 2017. The power banks are fine, working on and without any fails, and if i have any question, I can ask the costumer center some question like: "were is my package", "have you already received the payment?", etc. The payment is secure too and the shipping is fast. I am happy with my purchases and I recommend it to everybody. Gearbest is a good shop to follow as an example.

I met this online store in the autumn of 2016. But in reality it opened in February 2017, when I ordered a computer game mouse Motospeed V40 in it. The parcel with the order did not come for a long time. Wrote to their customer support center. They replied that the parcel might have been lost in the postal service of my country, and they offered to re-send the mouse, but with insurance and track number. And this premise has safely reached. I regret having written a positive review earlier. I did purchase 3 watches, ut these 2 purchases have been hell. I feel cheated. Both orders arrived BROKEN TO PIECES (PACKAGE INTACT, SO THE PRODUCT WAS "AS IS" FROM ORIGIN) I was offered a refund, but only refunded the money portion, not the 33% I paid with my GB points. It is lost in package delivery, over 45 days since last tracking and now gearbest tells me I have to wait 3 months! ITS A JOKE.

Answer: Some people will get their products, some will not. Some will get what they expected and some will not. I got my products but one was not what they promised and one broke after a few seconds of use. They still continue to use wrong information on their website even though they admitted to me that it is not correct. Answer: Dont really matter mate, regardless, what they do if does not arrive, they will not refund, they offer to resend at your cost. Then you do Paypal dispute, they refuse to refund unless you close the case, if you close the case, Paypal will not help. In my circumstances Paypal decided in my favour and refunded, but dragged on, avoid this company in future, Bangood better

I got free shipping but the product was damaged an only fit for resting your cup on they offered a refund less the first shipping that was ment to be free or a replacement.
