Inept service, zero updates, lying staff

They never communicated tracking info. Lied that they'd contact in 24-48 hrs, it's been 2 weeks. NEVER AGAIN!

I haven't had a lot of experience using borderfree in the past but the couple of experiences i have with them hasn't been great. My first experience was about a year ago when sephora used them as their shipping hub to international orders to canada. I ordered multiple products gave my address and they couldn't find my address and automatically kept sending my items back. Even though i live in one of the biggest canadian cities and live in a very popular street. Recently i wanted to order some holiday stuff via target and their international retail shipping service is borderfree so i thought i would give them another chance. Even though i spent more for guaranteed shipping in 3 days it took them 2 weeks to ship my items. They duplicated items that i didn't order and charged my credit card for these items. When i checked their return policy there is no return policy available. I do not think borderfree is worth it and would not recommend it to anybody. Please be very wary when choosing border free for yourself and if you decide to use them realize it will take four times the time to get your items.

Terrible

I placed an order with Party City and unfortunately the order has to go through Borderfree. I became worried when I have not received a shipment notification after 5 days and had contacted Borderfree 4 times requesting a cancellation if the shipment is delayed as my order contains balloons for my daughters birthday party and will be useless if they don't arrive on time. On the last attempt to cancel my order, they shipped out the package the following day, which is already too late. Party City will not refund me, and I now have party supplies POST my daughter's birthday party. Extremely unimpressed with Borderfree. If you want a frustrating, with extra charges, hard to reach customer service, irresponsive and a delayed shopping experience, use Borderfree. Otherwise avoid them like plague, they will only cause you unnecessary agony and anger.
Last note - their customer number is not toll free if you are calling from Canada, I was charged $14 for the 4 phone calls I made to them. Even more anger.

I placed an online order a month ago at Target and they use Borderfree to ship to Canada. The estimated shipping speed was 10-15 business days. I received confirmation of the order and the items were expected to ship out in 5-6 business days, according to the email and that I would receive another email once they shipped. I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, I called their customer service line today and spoke with a representative who told me that my items "got lost at the international hub" and that, since they got lost, they had no way of shipping them to me. Wait, what? First off, when was anyone planning to inform me of this? Second, is there REALLY no way to rectify this? Like, say, SEND A NEW SHIPMENT? There was barely an apology and she didn't offer anything aside from giving me a refund which, frankly, should be expected if they're simply going to give up on sending me my package!

Bottom line, I would avoid shopping online anywhere that uses Borderfree. I love Target, but I will not be shopping online with them again.

I placed an order from Ulta that is supposed to be shipped to my house here in Canada. I was sent an order confirmation from border free but was not sent a shipping confirmation. I emailed multiple times for days until someone finally replied with a tracking number, which said that the destination for my package was Illinois. I was concerned because I specified delivery to Canada, but was later informed that there was a stopping point in Illinois before it goes to Canada. I reached out multiple times asking if it was possible to track it after Illinois to know when it gets to my house in Canada, seeing as it is -30 degrees here and I dont want my package to freeze outside. I was then given automatic responses saying again that it is in Illinois and will be shipped soon. Finally today, after waiting for two weeks for this package, I was told that my package is lost. Ulta is saying that all they can do is give me an electronic gift card of 45 dollars, when I payed 71 Canadian dollars for my order. Or, they can reship it, which, with this service, I can assume will take another 3 weeks to get here. This is horrible customer service. They have been misleading and uncommunicative, and it should not take me reaching out for over 2 weeks almost everyday to finally be told that my package has been lost. Will not be ordering from Ulta ever again, or using border free for any other website.

Pleasently surprised

I made a gigantic order at Ulta because they had free Canadian shipping over $100 (and I went way over!), didn't really know what Borderfree was but they gave me the option of paying taxes and duties at checkout (very reasonable) so I went ahead and ordered. Only after placing my order did I read all these awful reviews. Let me tell you, I was very nervous. I am busy as can be and with the holidays and everything I really didn't want to deal with any problems so I was really crossing my fingers. And boy, am I impressed. Placed my order on a Sunday, received an order confirmation right away, order was shipped the next day (Monday) and on Wednesday it was in my mailbox, packaged perfectly! I am so impressed with the speedy hassle-free shipping. I have been wanting to order from Ulta ever since learning that they have started shipping to Canada and I finally did it and I am so happy! I don't even think Sephora ships this quickly, seriously! My order even had to go through customs and all and I still received it within days of ordering. I am a happy camper and would likely take my chances with ordering through Borderfree again!

FRUSTRAIING EXPERIENCE

THEY SUCK BIG TIME! BECAUSE OF THEM CANNOT BUY ANYTHING! SAKS CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD, BUT THEY JUSTRETURNED MONEY AND SAID TO CONTACT THE BANK BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY VISA. TRIED TO USE PAYPAL, BUT THE SAME STORY. USE MY VISA WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM EVERYWHERE ELSE AND THE SAME WITH PAYPAL. BORDERFREE PROMISED TO SEND AN EMAIL, BUT NEVER DID. WHEN I WAS ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME JUST GET DISCONNECTED.

I have ordered from the 1st, but it has only been confirmed on the 3rd, AND DATE SOON ITS HAD BEEN FINISHED, in my opinion Borderfree is very unfair in serving its customers. So we do not have to be fast to get the goods, but must be fast so that our order confirmed by borderfree, yeah, I will give one star to borderfree

For correctness I have to write that last weekend they made a partial refund but they charged me for their errors. They subtracted from the refund both the initial shipping costs and that of the return of the product which were double the initial ones.
In the end they sent a different product and I paid for their mistake so my initial review doesn't change IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE MONEY DON'T BUY FROM THEM

I bought through them from dune london and a different product was sent to me. I reported and they sent me the return label. I returned the product and through paypal I opened a report to get back my money. Tracking shows that they have received the product but they have told paypal that I have not sent anything. SHAME ON YOU. Dune londo confirms that the product has been received and they say it's not like this. Really crazy, for me seems that this situation is not real. If you don't want to lose your money, don't buy from them

I ordered from them an outfit and they didn't warned me on the extra tax I had to pay BEFORE the purchase. So I already had a 31 euros shipping and now a 68 euros of border tax to pay to receive my order.
It is nearly 90 $#*!ing euros to had to my 80 euros skirt CAN YOU IMAGINE?
It is a fraud don't even consider ordering from them

Borderfree cancels orders

Borderfree offered free international shipping for Target and then when received an abundance of orders cancelled them. Just got a cancellation for order placed over 2.5 weeks ago! NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Nightmare worst ever

This Company is from Hell, I ordered an $600.00 shirt from Rrl I received $65 of childs clothing from the GAP.No satisfaction from customer Service in fact they were vague and stupid.
Just an awful experience all around DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

I ordered two dressed from Adriana Papelle, which uses Borderfree, on 30 October 2016.
I received confirmation my order was being 'processed', and then four or five days later the price being held on my credit card reduced - it turns out one dress has been cancelled, but I still haven't been told that by Borderfree or Adriana Papelle (who email said that two dresses were shipped). The price for the dress that arrived was originally $160, but $189 + shipping was charged in the end. Why the extra $29? No explanation.

The dress I wanted the most arrived today (17 November). The packaging was appropriate for the quality of the dress (beaded and fragile). It was beautiful (but for her dresses select a size down, it is a bit big). I assume the other dress is never coming (but was listed on the receipt I received with the package).

I would think twice before using Borderfree again, and I will pay more attention to the use of third parties to ship in the future based on their poor communication and the strange price change in the dress without authorisation.
