Borderfree allows people to set up accounts, and bill, based on nothing but an EMAIL ADDRESS which they DO NOT CONFIRM.
This means that someone can buy stuff and use your email address. When the credit card they use turns out to be fake, Borderfree invoices your PAYPAL. I kid you not.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SCAM COMPANY.
Don't bother trying to reach anyone at their customer service. Call mid-day and get a voice mail nobody is monitoring.
I think that if there is no problems with your order, then it's not a bad service, but if you ever get a problem, they will not help you solve it at all. DO NOT ORDER IF YOU USE A DEBIT CARD. I ordered, but then part of my order was cancelled, changing the amount. I now cannot use the money on my debit card because they won't cancel the pending notification, no matter how many times I send e-mails to their company.
Using Borderfree is a huge gamble. Just know that if something goes wrong, they don't help at all.

I had a similar experience as the others with borderfree cancelling my order. Can we sue the company or make a class action suit? Any attorneys out there?
I placed an order on January 1,2016 through Orchard Brands, Winter Silks for the amount of $209.00 to be sent to New Zealand. They immediately processed the order through BorderFree. Come to find out Borderfree went out of business the same day I ordered. They said they would not charge me until my order was shipped---WRONG--they charged me immediately. Orchard Brands (falls under Blair.com) is as much to blame as they surely knew that Borderfree was out of business. My MANY attempts to contact both lead to dead ends with no satisfactory replies. PLEASE, DO NOT FALL PREY TO EITHER COMPANY---you'll lose your money.
UPDATE: I finally did get my refund. However, it required MANY email in order to receive it.
DO NOT PURCHASE anything from this company.
They do not stock authentic items and they avoid processing refunds to you because most their items are "on sale".

After 2 weeks i finally got my stuff from elf in good condition. Shipping to the Philippines door to door was free of charge and smooth all the way. Happy customer here :)

I have not yet received a tracking # or any confirmation that my order is on the way. NOTHING!
After dealing with their RUDE staff - it is ''expected'' to be shipped on April 27.
Then who knows when I will get it.
I am moving on May 1 and may never see this package!

I bought an item from Sacks and realised that i should not after i returned the item. It is taking oer a month to have any update and Sacks customer services arre advising that the issue is that Bordrfrere are slow. In the meantime, Bordrfree did not send me any update email.

I orderd a dress from Saks 5th Avenue that uses this crappy company for deliveries. I returned the dress and two months later I haven't got my credit back. The customer service is problaby located in India and they don't give a $#*!. Do not order from a company that uses these theives for deliverys.
Order placed oct 16 oct 23rd it still hadn't shipped and cannot get a response or a person to tak to to sort out. Part City was the vendor, I will never use eithr service again and I will be disputing charges with My CC
I have been a regular customer of LL Bean for many years. Since their tie-up with Borderfree, the service has deteriorated dramatically. I live in the UK and in October I received an 'Under Armour' parcel for someone living in Delaware which had my LL Bean address label stuck on it. I also received my LL Bean parcel but that was late. Borderfree seemed to be incapable of dealing with the issue and their complaints team was both dilatory and completely un-joined-up. My latest problem has been a November 27th order to LL Bean, shipped on 5th December which, after being received by Borderfree on the 7th and supposedly being passed to the UK courier handler also on the 7th just disappeared entirely. Quite clearly Borderfree have taken on too many retailers and providing an inferior service to all of them. I would rather deal with LL Bean direct and settle the UK taxes through the courier as I did before. If I could give zero stars I would.
Shortly after placing my order through Target and discovering BorderFree, a company I have not ever heard, was going to be in charge of the contents and delivery, I decided to look them up. Initially I was shocked by all of the negative reviews and at the same time concerned with my purchase. However, as it was already too late for me to opt out from my order, I decided I'd just wait and see for myself. Fortunately my experience was quite the opposite the majority these people had as I had a positive experience with BorderFree. They surrendered my package across the American/Canadian border in which from there I knew I was in good hands.
When the package arrived I found it was packaged in a stiff and safe manner. The only downfall of BorderFree is that internationally they take quite a while to process and send out your order. Also, their tracking service and ETA's are off by many days. If you're upset that they denied your order, grow up, stop complaining, and read their Consumer Terms & Conditions of Use as everything is clearly stated right then and there as to what to expect when trusting them with your content(s).
Overall I had a positive experience. But like I did myself, read their conditions beforehand and give them a try and very likely you'll have an average experience.

Never in my life have I had such a bad experience with any shipping service.
I had never purchased anything through Borderfree previously. I spent $200 on an order from American Apparel (which included duty and shipping costs) who uses Borderfree for international shipping. I live in southwestern Ontario in Canada. THEY CHARGED ME AN EXCESS $170 for shipping, a charge that I WAS NOT notified would be placed in the first place! So pissed! Absolutely $#*! customer service and a total disregard for customer satisfaction. They took 8 days to ship my order after processing it and on that 8th day was when they wrongly charged me the $170. Currently disputing it as I deserve my money back! DO NOT USE BORDERFREE, THEY HAVE HIDDEN FEES OR ARE JUST IDIOTS.
I placed my order on February 20. Shipped from the USA to Israel and arrived February 28. Never in my life have I experienced such quick delivery service! Seriously!
This had been the worst experience ever dealing with the 2 orders that target claimed shipped and borderfree continues to hold at the 'hub'. Never given a clear answer whether or not my orders have Been canceled or will be shipped with only the 5% that I'm told will actually make it to Israel. Both my orders were charged and never released. Shame on target for not taking matters into there own hands and shipping the 25,000 orders they promised to deliver within 7-10 days. It's been 3 weeks and they don't even have the courtesy to inform clients instead I had to call and email them to follow up! One of My orders even shows shipped! NEVER AGAIN TARGET, just another hack to scam customers. Target should have chosen a more professional company than BORDERFREE to deal with this and BORDERFREE SHOULD HAVE MADE GOOD after causing such a delay!
