Somethings on Tophatter are displayed differently than what your really getting. They make it look deceiving. For example they will show you 100 markers and you only get 10. You really have to look good before bidding

Why in God's name do I HAVE to give any starts at all?! Shouldn't that be MY Choice?! Just 1 more reason NOT to shop here! The aggravation just isn't worth it. I have bought several items from Tophatter and only received a few of my items. I repeatedly tried to get refunds and when I finally did, they gave me CREDIT instead of actually refunding my money to me! As if I want to waste anymore of my time or money on a website that rips me off more times than not. They flat out refuse to give a customer service phone number so that I can actually talk to a live person! They do not provide customer service without many emails with me screaming that I want my money back and to me, not credit on this thieving website.
It was going great until I started having issues with my orders. The site that tracks my package says I received a few items and I have not received them. Nor is there a support team to talk too. I can not get anyone to contact me back. Highly irritated with this situation.
This is a great site when you can't afford the big time auction but still like the rush of a win.

They sent me two packages, both had same serial number! And both said "Made in LTALY"!

First of all first winnings were all canceled there was about six of them then 10 winnings were cancelled and refunded in credits I wanted the funds back in my bank account I never got a response more than once I emailed I ended up using my credits on tophatter that's not what I wanted then there was an error in the cancellation with a product and still I was charged for it then refunded I had never authorized the payment nor did I request the refund but it was done once I receive all my items that I have bid on I will no longer affiliated with top Hatter recommending this site to my friends never
I got some decent items from Tophatter but there were 3 items I ordered from them that I never received but I never got my money back and no one will help me figure out what happened to my money they owe me!
Love bidding, but products take to long to get, everything I have gotten so far I love rings are a bit small but really like them

Some of the merchandise is junk. I ordered the tripod for selfies and it won't even stand up. It falls apart when upuvtty to use it.

I was skeptical at first but was willing to give it a try because I like to shop - I also like to get a good deal on products and this looked like a fun way to do it. All the products I won the bid on were well made and matched thir descriptions - except one. When Tophatter was notified of the difficulty they got back to me to let me know they had refunded my money. No argument. They really support what they promise when you first start. I have always believed that a man is no better than his word and this holds true with Tophatter.

Seems like most of the items sold by tophatter are low quality. Most are junk. Tipical to Chinese knock offs. The deliver cheap things quicker. More expensive items, they seem to bank your money and sit on it to make interest. Some times they refund your money right away for cheap items. The more expensive items good luck waiting a few extra weeks pasr the estimated date of delivery even months! Bottom line, if you see some thing on tophatter you can usually find it online here for a little more. Get it in a few days. But if you like waiting a few weeks and want to chance getting some junk or have them sit on your money for a few months then say your item was not available, lost or some other excuse, go for it. After I finally receive items ive bought on tophatter that took weeks or months past there estimated delivery date from tophatter. I'm probably going to close the account with them. It's not fun to wait. Worst yet wait then get refunded or have to file for a refund. If your not overlooked or forgotten.
Shipping takes to long. Most items take at least a month or longer to receive.

Everything I ordered was miniature, or came with missing components.
I do enjoy checking out the items that are up for bid. I don't always get what I want, but I get really excited when I do win. There are so many things to choose from and I have checked out the prices of some of the things that I have won and am surprised that what I won actually cost more somewhere else. Everything i ordered i has to wait 2 months for and I was completely dissatisfied with. Most looked cheap and was not worth the cheap price or the wait for it to arrive

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
