First of all, Spectrum does NOT lean right. In Ma., they only tell the democrat side of every process. They speak as if there is only one political party in the United States. I just got done looking at a news broadcast and all they had was the democratic view of supposed Ethic violations in the Supreme Court. Everybody knows that the Supreme Court has voted down some Extremist left policies lately and all of a sudden the democrats feel the need to investigate Supreme Court Justices? No mention of how the Justices are harassed at their own homes. No Republican comments on the supposed Ethics problem. Why? Because there isn't any ethics violations. They go on to report how a hostage situation in one of our cities is being handled by the Crime Alternative programs where hugs and sodas replace personal responsibility for breaking laws. The reporter was nodding his head like a bauble doll. Do you really expect people to get behind this? The only ones who approve of it are the people employed by it and the clearly biased press. Get some real reporters instead of 20 year old woke puppets. I am forced to go to FOX for accurate news, polls and what is going on in my own state. I realize that they could be biased sometimes but, at least they will report on the Democrat side of things where in contrast the Spectrum news doesn't even appear to realize there is another side at all. While the democrats are wrestling with major issues like why Plantation street needs a name change because some might find it offensive, the rest of the Country is worried about inflation, grocery bills doubling, the strain that EV's are putting on an already under-powered electric grid, the reduction in Strategic Oil Reserves, and all the rest of the policies that are making day to day living in the USA hard.3 times this week alone, I have received e-mail notices to restrict my electricity usage between the hours of 3:00 pm and 8:pm. Nobody reports on that problem in Spectrum local news. I find that effects my family a lot more than changing a street name that has existed for 100 years. Instead of going woke why doesn't Spectrum concern itself with waking up to the problems in this Country and my state.
They bumped my end of subscription to the 1st of the month so they could cleverly rip another 200 out of us. LOL Lied and said I never called when the proof was right there in front of them. On top of that, raised the bills over 60$ in 6 months, driving us to switch. WORST SERVICE EVER. WORST, slowest internet ever and the most expensive.
They add fees like anything without letting you know and if you want to question them their automated service says there may be a fee for talking to customer service representative. Fees to talk to customer service? Are you FREAKIN KIDDING me? It's like you pay me to steal from you. Absolutely horrible company.
I have been on hold for 3 hours over 2 days trying to cancel an account
We are moving you are the ONLY service that demands we waste our time on hold to cancel, this is a SCAM so sorry I signed up with them, no other service makes it this hard to cancel. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT
Did I mention that Spectrum is horrible? I'll keep this short because it's beating a dead horse. I handed in a receiver today as I was told by a representative the policy had changed and I no longer needed it and could still receive cable using my ROKU. I come home AND THE CABLE IS OFF! I call Sprectum and told me that I DO have to have the receiver (even though I don't use it) and cable can't be turned on until I get another receiver! I signed up with the streaming plan (no receiver needed) and asked to be transferred for a possible credit. That rep. Tells me I CAN have regular cable without the receiver and she would give me that. After 20 minutes she says it's set up, but I can't log on. So she sends me to Customer Tech. Who barely speaks English, doesn't understand the issue, can't help at all. After 30 minutes with her (with no progress or clue), the cable suddenly comes on. Can't wait to see my bill when it updates, I'm sure that will be SNAFU too.
I can't believe this company has the audacity to present itself in commercials as a well run company. I've never had such poor service for any industry, both cable and their customer service. Cable service constantly cuts out (with the app) or is completely down (all across the country today). And "NO", it's not my ROKU device. All other apps work fine, and many others are posting issues. After my "special Offer" expires, I'll be looking for an alternative TV service, Sling, DirectTV now, etc. I had Sling for a few months with no problems. Goodbye soon Spectrum, I hardly knew you (and don't want to know anymore!)
I don't even know where to begin! I have had spectrum for many years and I have regretted it from the very first moment. They're internet connection is awful and not only that but their customer service is by far the worst of any company. I have been having my internet cut in and out for almost 6 months now. I spoke to a representative and they confirmed this and that was it. They told me they would look into it and absolutely nothing happened. This is a joke of a company as a whole. The only reason they are in business is because they have a monopoly over all other providers. Most people don't have any other option but to settle for your horrible services. If I could I would give negative stars, (one star is too much of a praise). I am warning all potential customers, STAY AWAY from spectrum, unless you want to be constantly angry and annoyed. YOU WILL REGRET PAYING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR A SERVICE THAT IS WEAKER THAN DIAL UP. I WARNED YOU!
I'm used to be with Time Warner Cable but since Charter purchased the company it has gotten downhill. The customer service is awful and should be avoided.
I have had Spectrum for my internet service for almost a decade. As some reviewers have stated I have always gotten slower speeds than I was paying for but didn't complain as I was never sure if it was my hardware v. their connections. Otherwise I was reasonably happy with their service as I use them for home and business use.
I recently moved and now I understand all of the negative reviews. For over two months Spectrum continued to apply my payments to the old residence which had been switched to someone else's name and intermittently turn off my service claiming that I was late in my payments. I spoke with 4 or 5 different people there including 2 managers all of whom assured me that they had fixed the issue and would soon follow up with me to confirm. I never got a single call back from any of them and they continued turning off my service every two to three weeks. I literally overpaid the bill just to have my service on since it is critical for me for work purposes and they continued adding on late and service fees even though I was overpaid the error was completely on Spectrum. The last manager I spoke with (Curtis) did a wonderful job of being professional and thorough and complete in addressing the issue but it has only been ten days or so and I'm fully expecting the late calls and for them to turn off my service again within the next few weeks. I am looking diligently for a new provider as we speak. I have never experienced such incompetence and frankly what appears to be just a lack of concern for the customer in my life.
I would recommend Spectrum as a service provider but you should not apply for a job with their corporate office. I applied for a copywriter internship position with them and I got an interview and at the interview the lady told me that I am overqualified. I told her that I am a huge fan and I love copywriting and would love to be considered and she told me that if I already have a college degree then I should already be working and I should not be applying to internships. I told her that whenever I apply to jobs they tell me that I do not have enough experience and that I am not qualified for the work and that is why I have to apply for an internship to gain experience. The interviewer told me that she knows that but does not wish to hire me so she will speak with her coworkers. They emailed me several months later and told me that they found someone more qualified. These people are extremely irrational and cruel. I recommend that you don't apply for a job there. I have been looking for a job since I got laid off during the pandemic. Since then I went back to school and earned my master's degree for a year and even since getting it right after the pandemic I still cannot find a job at all after I have applied to hundreds of job for several years now. When it comes to employment we live in a very unjust unkind world and it is mainly because of irrational people like the employers at Spectrum corporate.
My Spectrum bill started to go up several months ago, but really went through the roof after Cincinnati Bell offered faster internet in our neighborhood. On July 26 I switched to Cincinnati Bell, cancelled my services with Spectrum (have cancellation confirmation#) and surrendered their equipment. I payed Spectrum through July 22 on my previous bill and was told by customer relation agent that my last bill with them will include only 4 days of service( 23-26)- logically! Today I received FULL bill of $180 for services through August 22! I called and asked WHY I am being billed for not existing service and got the answer that Spectrum does not prorate their bills and I have to pay for the whole month even if I used it only for several days. If I refuse to pay, I will be referred to collection agency!
The page to delete old emails to comply with the 5GB storage limit has a faulty sort function and a faulty delete function, which can cause you to waste hours of your time.
Also, your Deleted Items count against the 5GB limit, so after you spend hours deleting old mail, you have to do it again with the Deleted Items.
I used to have Time Warner Cable, but just for the internet and the basic TV channels that I have never watched but which made the cost lower than having the internet alone. I used to have an agreement with them whereby the monthly bill was set for a year or more before it might increase, at which time I could renegotiate to keep the costs down. Since Spectrum took over, they have raised the price whenever they feel like it. There has been nothing in place to keep the price the same for a certain period of time. They have raised my bills at least 5 times by several dollars at a time since they've taken over, once on 2 successive months, having also increased it just a month or 2 before that, and they have just done it again. It's now almost $101 per month for the same service I have always had. I don't even have cable TV for that price. The only reason I even have them for the internet is because I don't want to have a contract with anyone. That is their only selling point - no contract. There isn't another company in my area that I am aware of that I could switch to apart from one that has had a lot of bad reviews and no good ones. The actual service is okay and works most of the time. It's the cost and many increases that I object to.
IF I COULD GIVEN THEM A ZERRO STAR I WOULD, GONNA MAKE THIS SHORT AND SWEET. STAY AWAY FROM SPECTRUM.
HORRIBLE CABLE SERVICE
HORRIBLE INTERNET
HORRIBLE REMOTE CONTROLS
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
WILL BE GOING TO DIFFERENT PROVIDER.
THEY BUMP UP YOUR BILL EVERY YEAR, I JUST WANT CABLE SERVICE, I DONT WANT TO BUY THE COMPANY
Just an FYI, don't connect anything via Ethernet cable to their equipment. They do not follow NEC code during install, which can lead to a power surge coming through their line and ruining your expensive electronics. Also, if you're not getting the advertised speed, keep calling for them to send someone out. It took me many tries, but I finally got a decent tech and the correct speed. He advised me that there was too much noise on my line and that's why my speeds were diminished. The funniest part is if they did half their job correctly, I would have had the correct speed via Wi-Fi and never had to plug in a cable. Now I wonder how many times I would have replaced their equipment because they only do a visual inspection of the ground. So long as it's hooked to something, they claim that's fine. That's amazing to me in the year 2022 with all the tests we can run with a simple multimeter.
If you call the retention department, they'll usually knock some money off your bill to keep you as a customer. Those people are super nice too because they give out free money all day lol.
I've been fighting with them so long now it's laughable and I could probably pass the electrician's exam at this point. The only damage after the storm that started this mess was their equipment and anything connected to it starting with a splitter in their line (where the power surge obviously came in). I doubt they'll ever make it right, but they did lie to the FCC so I'm hopeful something will happen now.
Have had services with spectrum for almost 2 years now but lately every time I call to pay my Cellular bill my payment gets posted to my cable account and everytime they claim they cant transfer the money back to my cellular account and shut off my service its like they are doing what they want with my money even though everytime i call now to pay i ask if i am paying my cellular account i am told yes but then the next day its posted to the wrong account and refuse to move it to the correct bill. I have transfered my phone service from another company so i guess its time to move back to at&t they got some good deals going on right now and i wont have this problem no more dont even ask for a supervisor cause they wont let you speak with one. I called a hour ago and was told a manager will call me back and guess what no call yet from a manager or even customer service. THIS IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU HAVE!
I have ongoing issues with my cable box. It constantly scrambles the picture and tone. When I call in, it takes a long time to trouble shoot. I have to climb up to unplug the box each time for them to reboot. I was told it happens a lot if the boxes are getting updated. It's very disruptive to my day and very time- consuming. This is by far the worst service I ever received, and I lived in NM, VA and FL. Then they give you a lousy refund of maybe 3$ I pay almost 200$ month, this is so unacceptable. They do not take care of their customers, only interested in collecting money. Some are outright rude! I spoke today to tech support, the lady was friendly and promised me to warm transfer to billing, which she DIDN'T! She cold transferred me to billing. I explained having issues since 3 days, she just gave me 3$ discount. Then I asked for the corporate mailing, phone or email and the rep told me, that's not available. You got to be kidding me. I wanted to write a formal letter of complaint for the disruptive service. The Spectrum operator # was 1069. I also asked for the name to be changed to my name only, instead my son and I, and I wanted them to add my phone #, of course this wasn't taken care of either. I'm so annoyed with Spectrum, who clearly don't care about their customers. I'm looking into Frontier and Hughes net as well as satellite TV at this point. They don't take accountability, just money from the customer. 1 time 3$ off almost 200$ per months bill? What a joke. Also considering filing with the BBB.
Gouging and taking advantage of situation, no customer service, just unauthorized charges.
They don't let you disconnect service when you move to a different service.
I contacted the company after a fraudulent account was set up in my name. I got the phone number *******135) of the person who set it up and their address. The person is currently receiving 2 months free internet using my information for this address: 426 S HANOVER ST CAPE GIRARDEAU MO *******-6749
Before the company sent out the package to have the internet set up, I called them. The same day the account was set up, I contacted them. A phone number was on file that I didn't recognize. The person went online to set up the package they received so they know what they are doing. Despite numerous complaints the account was not deleted. So I changed the number on file and billing preference until I can have this issue resolved. I won't know what credit card information was stolen until two months from now. None of the representatives were able to give me the last four digits of the account or anything. This is the worst company that I have ever heard about. To actively participate in fraud should be a reason for them to shut down. They are fully aware of the situation but they don't care. As long as they receive the money. This is disgusting and a shame and should not be happening.
So what's new, another evening of the TV and the internet cycling off and on over and over. Customer noService phone tree is a joke, only serves to make us customers angry.
The salesman out and out LIED to me to get me to switch from Dish Network! I told him it was PIVOTAL on my decision that external hard drives can be used with their boxes, and he said ALL boxes can be used with ALL hard drives! He said I could use external hard drives with their boxes. LIE! Only certain external hard drives will work with them, the cable installer knew NOTHING about external hard drives and spent 30 minutes trying to convert me to HIS religion, not helping me with their services If I knew then what I know now, I would have NEVER switched services. Most of the salespeople have been rude save a couple of them, far inferior to Dish!
Answer: Very difficult and long wait times; option for call back is given but does not work, like everything at Spectrum. Horrible quality.
Answer: Less expensive, probably not. Better, of course! Anything is better than this place, but they do not care.
Answer: MONOPOLY MONOPOLY MONOPOLY MONOPOLY MONOPOLY MONOPOLY MONOPOLY
