Spectrum Cable TV, Northern Kentucky, does not deliver the entertainment products they sell. Case in point... We were getting tired of trying to watch movies on AMC with Spectrum's progressively longer commercials. So, I called Spectrum customer service to inquire about seeing the same movies, commercial free. Spectrum's customer service rep sold me on AMC+ as a "premium channel" which shows many of the same movies "commercial free." So, I added AMC+ to our already hefty Spectrum Cable TV services. So far, the AMC+ movies we have watched were both interrupted by commercials.
My mother who lives is a nursing home broke her leg. Tried postponing service till she returned. Spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to have me pay for service that would not be used. Had to send equipment back in order to get the billing to stop and because I called 3 days after the cutoff date they had me pay for another full month of service. If I would of called the day she fell and had surgery I would of made the cutoff date. Tell me who has that on their mind? Spectrum? Give me a break? They are a terrible company and the only reason we went with their service is because that is the only choice we had. NEVER AGAIN! I am in my 60's and this is the first terrible review I have ever written in my life. That is how bad we have been treated by this company. Meaning the whole set up process we went through to the day we had service disconnected. Shame on you Spectrum if you treated your customers differently you could have a total different company. Hire a new CEO!
I have never had an issue with their internet service.
It's their constant price increases and their customer service that is out of control.
Their customer service is always horrible. The reps are so fixated on their "script " that they have no concern about you or your time.
I should have left 20 years ago but I'm lazy. I'm not sure why I have tolerated them this long. That's on me though. Don't wait. You'll regret it.
I'll have to admit that the service has been fairly stable over the past couple of years. Losing service maybe 1-2 times a year. But they continue to increase to the consumer every year. My plan/program has doubled in price over the last 8 years. Would have been more had I not changed by subscription to the cheapest thing they had. 30 years with them, and I have the base plan with 1 premium chnl. No vcr, no super fast internet. Just the basics so I can keep the price down. Of course they are offering new customers the same package for 80.00 a month less(to get their foot in the door). Trying to talk to them is like taking to my dog--except sometimes he listens!
Terrible company. Employees give contrary information. My daughter cancelled her service, I ordered it (in the same house) and was told technical support could "provision" the existing router and modem. The next day I called to do this and was told those were "dormant" and I couldn't get service. Missed the Packers Lions game as a result. I cancelled the service and now will go to ATT. VERY UNHAPPY.
Been a customer since 1993 and during the recent month long hurricane outage and beyond they provided no service zero and would not provide a refund. I switched to ATT better service and $50 a month less expensive. Big mistake to use Spectrum for any service as they dont treat customers as important
Never got my rebate promises that were made were never kept contacted Better Business Bureau and the FCC and nobody from spectrum has ever gotten back to me. Poor customer service.

Do not get spectrum it is nothing but a scam and they let their agent lie to you about your equipment and then delete the calls. I spoke to some one who said I will own the xumo devices at the end of the 12 months and now spectrum is telling me no I do not own them, I was leasing them for the year and i have to return them or be charged 120 dollars, 60 per box which I already paid. Their phone calls are recorded but they do not have access to the recorded call after so many months, not even a year, because it is too long ago and they delete the call. I spoke to 2 supervisors and i other csr who refuse to assist further then telling me to return the boxes that i should own at this second or be charged again for them. They are also saying i should have received an email about this but i did not receive one on either side that said leasing or purchasing the equipment when i already did and it was added to my monthly statement.
My spectrum Internet is frequently down and for hours at a time. I wish I could say they were dependable. But I can't say that. The cost is expensive as well.
I canceled my service with them for poor system performance on Oct 5,2024. They charged me the full month of October (Oct 1 - Oct 31) for $230. I would understand if they charged me a partial month for the first week, but to charge me the entire month after service was terminated is ridiculous.

As always when you call for deactivate a service they will offer you many offers, like stay with us and you will pay less for internet service, for 1 year then goes to the normal price, or you will have a mobile phone service for free (but just for 1 year)

Extremely disorganized. Speak to 50 reps about same issue and each time you are explaining from scratch and getting no where except one giant loop. They make a simple thing or so you think feel like you literally asked for HELL. Your body will ache, you will get a migraine, your blood pressure will rise and each of the 50 reps will tell you same thing. We are doing our BEST for you. Save your sanity and avoid this Hellish hellish service.
I've had a residential setup for some time now and are displeased with their customer service. The bill amount shot up 45 dollars per month. You'd think that they'd want to work with their customers in bringing down the cost especially after ACP program ended thanks to politicians in Congress, Spectrum's way of solving my issue was to offer 8 dollars off. They were not interested in the least. What a joke. I have a friend who called them for the same thing and when she said that she will change to Clearnetworks they reduced the amount to 54 dollars. They had refused me the same thing which is unfair even though I said I will change to Clearnetworks. They lied when the agent said that she cannot change the cost. If that were true why did they offer the 8 dollars off. They would have to change it their system. Also, they changed my friend's account. Stay clear if you can.

I wanted to turn in my cable box and service before the end of August. Our local Kitty Hawk, OBX Spectrum store is closed on the weekend of 8/24 & 8/25. I turned in my cable box and cancelled my service at the Kitty Hawk, OBX Spectrum store on the morning of 8/26. I asked if I was all closed out and no more billing? The Spectrum rep said oh no you need to pay $235.00 for the month of September (8/26-9/25). I said that is crazy, may I speak to the manager. The rep said she is not available. I said is she here? He said she is out back training a new employee. I said please go get her I'm not leaving without speaking to her. The irritated manager came out and said I will have to pay the final bill before 9/15. She said that Spektrum does not offer pro-rate refunds. I said I'm just one day late and the office was closed the past two days. She said there was nothing she could do and was unwilling or unable to make an escalation call for a waiver of the final bill. When I went home, I called a Spectrum HQ support number and spoke to a person, and they said the boss that could waive the final bill was out of the office and that she would send him an email with my request and reason. It appears that the only thing that happened was the bill went from $235.00 to $227.00. In conclusion, it appears that Charter/Spectrum's only game in town arrogance continues as demonstrated by providing an overpriced marginal product and poor customer service. Thank goodness there is now Ripple fiber.
Biggest ripoff ever my bill has went up from $122 per month to $210 per month in the last 4 years and there's always a stupid reason like my government discount expired twice now or my discount expires if I got discounts then why did my bill never go down only rise to almost double the price. Cancellation service at the end of next billing cycle. Do not use Spectrum for anything find a different carrier and save yourself a lot of money and hassle
