Spectrum is getting worse. Internet and TV services are intermittent or interrupted due to unexpected "technical difficulties or maintenance." But, price raises progressively within a year. My current bill is $260.12 And now with their new billing system, they cut services out of knowledge. If you are planning to cancel services expect to get on hold with a loooong call that may last 3,4 plus hours! Is not that disrespectful and reputable! 😠
We currently have Spectrum Internet and TV. VERY expensive. We have a 2nd home with Optimum, same services. $100 a month less.
Today we added home phone service. Had an appointment for 11-12:00 to activate the phone line. No show. No contact from Spectrum. Called. They said technician would arrive 2:30-3:00. Still no show and no contact to inform us of another delay. Technician arrived after 3:30. A wasted day sitting home. Spectrum failed miserably with customer support. I wish we had another cable company to use.
When we moved from one house to another we called to move service. They cancelled our auto-pay without notification, slapped us with a late payment penalty, and threatened to turn us in to a bill collector. We've been customers over 10 years. At the move, they told us to be present all day for delivery, signature required, of new equipment. Of course nothing was sent and they finally said, "Just hook up your old stuff." Now the billing is all fouled up. Their email notices don't correspond to their online information and you can barely ever talk with anyone. Awful. Even worse than the SNL skit abou them.
My internet has gone out now AT LEAST 6 times in less than 5 months. I can NEVER get a live person to try and help me understand WHY! I only get the useless virtual assistant...useless just like their garbage service! I don't have any other options where I live. If you do, go with the other option! Below are pictures of their "fix" to an outage a couple of weeks ago...cable running above ground from one building to another. They're a joke!
High and no benefits or services and You'll get often outage service, They persistently send discount promotions by email or mail, but beware of traps. I've been using it for many years since I was used a Times Cable. But every year your invoice goes up over $ 5 -$10 and you will eventually be unable to pay. Their promotion will return to the original ridiculously high amount in just one year, so consulting with an agent will not help. Agent is never help your bill so You have to pay that crazy bill. If you have another WIFI company, I would recommend another one. The amount they raise The price may be illegal, so ask them if they are in compliance with US law and make sure your invoice is correct. If it is not correct, we recommend filing a complaint on the invoice.
I have been a customer of Charter Spectrum 20+ years. Internet went out tonight and after 1 hour of holding then trouble shooting it was determined that we need a service technician to come to restore our internet. Next available appointment it one week! My husband and I both work from home. This is totally unacceptable.
Watching a movie I dvr'ed off one of the regular cable channels. 20 min into it the current scene cut out and jumped about 10 min ahead - then the movie ended altogether could not get it back. This movie was not taped at the same time another one was (I had to learn the hard way never to do that) Anyway, done with Spectrum. We can't have dish because we're basically surrounded by tall trees but I've been on this review with several other stupid problems and that's it. We're looking into Netflix, Hulu and some others. They don't carry all the channels we want but I can guarantee they won't give us the hassles, frustrations and problems every single day like Spectrum.
I prefer contracts because Spectrum continues to increase its prices several times per year, for different and sometimes the same reasons. At least with contracts, you'll definitely know what you'll be paying for the length of your contract. Not having a contract helps them more than the consumer. When I bring this to their representative's attention there's never a response. I've even asked for a contract, but you know the answer. Other than that, they have good customer service, so overall, in my opinion, they're decent.
I've been with Spectrum for a few years now and have had very few problems with the Internet side of things but the cable, that is another story. On-Demand is very much a crossed fingers affair, there's no telling when it will work properly or not at all. I'm constantly clicking on shows only to hold my breath and wait for the dreaded "The show you have selected is not available at this time, please try again later". My recorded shows work a little better but I'm no longer surprised when they won't play either. There appears to be no rhyme or reason for it at all. I can be watching a show just fine for about 20 minutes, pause it to use the bathroom, and then have it not work after. It's frustrating as hell.
I am a disabled veteran of low income. Spectrum advertises a fantastic internet and mobile plan, but it's all a nightmare. Had to make several calls trying to get two people to give me the same answer, big red flag. They sent my phone, a Motorola pure, and it is pathetic! Battery drains within an hour or two of use, calls are static filled, screen goes black right in the middle of activity, freezes numerous times. Don't let me get started on what it took to get the internet started. If you have the money, look elsewhere. You will regret dealing with these people.
This dude came to my house on a Sunday and extremely hot Sunday in Texas and stayed for 3 hours going up and down the pole trying to figure out what is wrong with my internet I had absolutely no water no Gatorade and this man is profusely sweating in my barely air conditioned double wide trailer. He was kind to answer all my questions. Extremely professional. If he was irritated I could not tell. Some people deserve a raise. Because their character and ethics are demonstrated on the job site by regular people. Who appreciate paying for good service and getting excellent return. I wish I could get this dude at every service call when I move and all the time I'm in for lotus Texas or wherever I move to companies should clone this dude.
Spectrum is not clear in their pricing when movies or "TV shows are chosen. They charge for normally free TV programming and my roommate requested Just the internet/WIFI. They make it too easy to choose TV shows/movies racking up costs. $273.92 is a high price for cable and or internet. I have had previous experience with them. It is sad that people are warned to stay at home practice social distancing etc. and get charged prohibitive fees to have some entertainment while we are home.
I'm not sure why most of the reviews on here are negative. Coming from the east coast with Comcast internet and cable providers, Spectrum is a HUGE step up. Every rep I have spoken to has gone above and beyond in every way to make sure we have a smooth and easy set up at our new home. Not only that, but they're prompt and responsive. I would give them 10 stars if I could! Keep it up Spectrum!
Spectrum has been there every time. Just today I was experiencing a problem with the Router and through chat customer service they sent someone named Neil who was friendly, courteous and showed concerned. He did everything in his power to make sure that everything was in working order. Thanks Neil and Thank you Spectrum.
Just got a phone call from a real pro. Guess that's why they're paid so well, they get the best of the best. Really, he called about my bill, where I politely told him I would call during reg work hrs, as I didn't have time rt now. He replied that my service is about to be cancelled, I said when, he smartly replied he did'nt have time to tell me. What a wise $#*!!
Overall, I find Spectrum internet service to be reliable and speedy. My problem is the charge.
Spectrum has been running television commercials offering internet service for $49.99. A customer for decades, I am paying $74,99 per month for the same service.
A print examination of the conditions attached to the offer (which is virtually impossible on the TV screen) reveals that only individuals who have not subscribed to any Spectrum services for at least 30 days qualify.
I know this is a standard, albeit deceptive, business practice to get new subscribers, but it shows a callous disregard for the loyalty of existing customers. With lower-priced 5G internet service on the horizon, Spectrum will soon no longer be the only game in town.
Spectrum should give equal consideration to retention and expansion if it plans to remain competitive..
Spectrum doesn't carry the medication in my preferred format. I take indica oil which is expensive and i have to take a lot of it. Also I'd like to see some edibles with indica strain. I've been shopping around for who's got what I need.
Having purchased two new iPhone 14 pro's we took them to Spectrum on Bluemound road to have them setup and transfer all from the old Apple 7 phones. We left after a total of two and one half hours. We were told to come back because they could not get their system to activate our phones.
As you may have guessed we were really disappointed to have spent that much money and time and still not have
the use of our new phones.
Pretty sure these are the last Apple phones we will own. All work with Best Buy on the next purchase since they have systems that work. Was told at the Apple store they use Verizon towers and there in lies the issue. Verizon was not responding to their request for activation of our phones.

Because I felt they couldn't provide what I needed at a fair priced, I asked to disconnect 12 days out but they disconnected a few days later. I called and was put on hold twice for a total of 54 minutes. After talking with several people they couldn't fix it so the resolution was for ME to disconnect everything and take it to a store in another town. It felt like punishment for cancelling my service. They did admit that no one could fix it and restore my service. IT department really needs to work the bug out where when their employee selects seasonal suspend and cancel at the same time no one can fix it.
After sending an e-mail to Spectums Customer Service, I received a reply the same day saying a manager would be calling me to set up a time to come to my house and check for issues. I received 2 calls the next day and a Supervisor came out today and spent over 2 hours checking connections inside and out of my house. He replaced some old equipment and so far everything is working.
On Demand stops in the middle of shows and gives a Error Message saying: This show is no longer available". I have made 3 calls concerning this and received 3 different answers... the problem is still happening. This time they said it was because my payment is late. My service is not shut off ---- they are basically slowing it down for payment (?). I tried to leave a "Dis-satisfied" Review and their system WOULD NOT LET ME! I have been a loyal Customer for 30 plus years. Now I am looking for another TV and Internet provider.
Answer: They do not care about customer retention. That being said. I have to believe it is the poorest business model I have ever come in contact with.
Answer: They could give a shit - they create a monopoly in the area and do whatever they want - raise the rate, intimidate, and are very rude and no help to customers!
Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
Spectrum has a rating of 1.1 stars from 1,943 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Spectrum most frequently mention customer service, billing cycle and cable box. Spectrum ranks 53rd among Cable Television sites.
