Spectrum is the absolute worst mess in broadband. The top executives should be imprisoned just for allowing that automated phone tree to exist and for their abusive billing practices. Use anything but #spectrum unless you want to be ripped off and driven insane.
They kept routing me to a wireless mobile phone number that I don't use. Reaching a human was next to impossible and when I finally almost got there, they said it would cost me an additional $5. They charged me for an extra month of service when I ended service and in a word, they suck.
I had the TV/internet bundle because it was my only option. I dropped the cable but had to pay for an extra month due to poor customer service and being given the run around when calling Spectrum. The internet cuts out often. As someone who works from home and has video calls all day, I often have to use my phone as a hot spot because the call will freeze. The service is incredibly expensive, but it is my only option for now. I cannot wait until the local company moves into my area so U can drop them all together!
They always have an outage but are only allowed to credit you back if it lasts longer than 4 hours. The phone service is usually okay but the internet is always down. The agents that helps you with chat are polite but can't do anymore more due to this company's policy. Like any other big companies, their survey is based on how the problem was heard, not if it was solved.
They advertise fast internet speeds! Lol

I have been a loyal Spectrum customer for over a decade, shelling out more than $350 monthly. Recently, I called to discuss my high bills, and a representative promised to reduce my payment to $157. Excited about the reduction, I called back to confirm, only to discover it was a complete fabrication. The next representative I spoke with was not only rude but dismissive of my concerns, which starkly contrasted with the initial promise made by their colleague.
Frustrated and feeling misled, I ended up canceling my service. After 10 years, it's disheartening to see how little they valued my loyalty or addressed my concerns sincerely. I expected much better treatment and transparency from a company I had trusted for so long. I would caution potential customers about the potential for miscommunications and the lack of respectful customer service based on my last interaction with Spectrum.
Tried spectrum for two months. They charge an "activation fee" btw. Consistently shut on and off. I work in IT and I know what I'm doing. It was simply bad. Tried to call to cancel, left on hold for 20 minutes. Finally got a person and she was the ACTUAL Meanest lady I've ever spoken to on customer service. She called me a baby for complaining and wanting to cancel, then put me on hold to think about my attitude! Like WHAT?! 0/10 will never use spectrum again.
Service is okay. VERY expensive. I called concerning a "special Offer:" they supposedly had that would cut my bill "in half". I called and was immediately put through to an India call center. Yak, yak, yak. "We will charge only $46.00 per month." To do this we must have you pay ten months up front." When I was approached by a rep in a Walmart, I was told there was a program for retired people over 65 years of age. All of this is an out and out lie. Don't trust a single thing they say. How do you know they lie? They open their mouths. If I had a single other good choice (already been through the only other provider in the area and they were the same bunch of liars.
Driver rushed out to be confrontational.
Blocking th e street, creating traffic jam for drivers, bikers, young and old. Dangerously to humans and structures.
No remorse only aggressive and angry as he was asked to move.
Having been a customer for 37 years now, I am treated so rudely and my fees steadily increase. Bills are always paid on time, have been a loyal customer and they SCAM me at every opportunity. It is outrageous that a company is allowed to operate as Spectrum does. The bill has increased by $36 in the past two months for zero reason except that they think they can get away with it. Calling the company takes hours of time and going to the store in Newtown is an exercise in incompetence. Save yourself the rip off, manipulation, scam techniques and non-stop aggravation by avoiding Spectrum!
Spectrum you have a new formal complaint to the FCC. This is theft. Accepting monies from a person for services they do not receive. Not allowing them cancel. One representative saying one thing and another saying something completely different. All the while I have the proof in black and white in my hand. Do better.
You can see from my screenshots that this lady was very unprofessional and uncaring You need to train your people and not have people that don't give a care about your product as employees! She wasted my time tremendously And mind you had it been an accident that our connection was lost she would have gotten in contact with me again because she had all my information.
Spectrum offers horrible internet service that went down daily. Their prices keep going up and up, even though their internet is constantly dropping. If you quit using their service, watch out. They will try to claim you didn't return their equipment, so keep records. And they will charge you for a whole month, no matter when you deactivate your account, even if you only used a single day's worth of service, you will have to pay the whole super high monthly fee.
$95/month for 300 mbps is ridiculous! I'm switching to Allo where I get 500 for $20 less. When I went to cancel, they constantly kept trying to give me a "deal" after I told them several times all I wanted to do was cancel. That was extremely annoying.
Got billed for discontinued services for upto a year after cancellation. On top of it all, support cited as my fault that I didn't call them within 60 days. Terrible company and equally terrible service. Encourage you to pay more elsewhere but avoid Spectrum.
I've had to call Spectrum twice since this virus lock down has begun. Waited on the phone for 20-25 minutes each time - p. Poor service - why don't you hire more people (heaven knows people need jobs!). They knew there would be a surge as people were working from home. Very poor vision - poor management. High rates and no service!
Asked representative if there are any promotional programs. Was told to sign up for $99,3 year maintenance program. Did not understand exactly the point of the pitch! Bypassed all my questions and kept repeating the pitch! Nothing resolved. Can't wait till GOOGLE becomes available in our area.
Takes too long to channel surf, using favorites is bizarre not same pattern every time. Many channels of standard definition of very poor quality. Old system better faster more information with less words now if you mess this up why would I buy cell phone service from you!?
A representative of spectrum lied to me about covering early termination fees. They neglected to tell me that it would only cover $500 when my fee was $900. I didn't want to pay. Now I've wasted $400.
I'm fuming. This business doesn't train their people well enough or they're just snakes.
Where do I start? We're watching TV and screen goes blank (all except the ones you can get with a coat hanger and tinfoil) This happens at least twice a week. We call, "Outage in your area, techs are working on it" Outage is out all damn night or all damn day.We are still required to pay the same amount monthly for piss poor service. The incompetence is amazing. I think they must hire from the local grade schools.It says below "add credibility to this review with photos. If I did it would show two very disgusted customers with four middle fingers extended.
Not going to spend much time here. If you ever have a problem, it won't get resolved. Check the reviews across the Internet. They will mislead and refuse to resolve your issues. Buyer beware. Richard should be fired.

Answer: You're smart to stay with FIOS. Spectrum is the worst cable company around. They're very expensive and your bill will start creeping up every other month without any explanation. Avoid Spectrum!
