It took nearly a year to get internet service and for the 2 years I did have it, I never had more than 18.3 mps Internet speed-whereby leaving Netflix and other media almost impossible to watch. The promise of 200 mps is pure BS! Try canceling your contract. You'll get hours of harassment and more false promises. If you have cell phone service with them also, they'll ake sure you cannot porty your number over to a new provider! Spectrum should be fined by the FTC and FCC for reducing the speed and data you pay for Internet service at $79.99 per month, and should also be fined additionally for harassment and malice toward customers when you cancel your service. A disgusting, disgraceful company! Minus 2 stars in my book for the crooks they are!
Get a normal box and dvr! The apple box is awful! You can't pause during live TV, its hard to fast forward and rewind and freezes up on you! I absolutely hate it! I wish I would have read reviews before buying it. Once open it your stuck with it..
If I could have selected zero stars I would have. I have now completed two complaint letters via land mail which included photos and have received absolutely no response after several months. We attempted to watch the Olympics, the Tour De France, World Cup Soccer and Racing events. Any pictures that have motion will consistently break up into large tiles on Spectrum's DVR. We paid good money on a top of the line Samsung HDTV but Spectrum can't deliver a signal that is not compressed to an extent where it does not break up all the time. If you are watching a National Park video with beautiful aerial camera work it will look like a stuttering jerky series of frames. We have had it with their ridiculous prices and poor product. Customer service is a zero. VHS would be better.
It's 2022 and this irresponsible company does not verify customers' email addresses. Nor do they provide unsubscribe functions with their emails, in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
If someone ever signs up to a Spectrum/Charter service using your email address, you will receive their spam forever.
All attempts to contact the company and have your email address removed will be ignored. You will continue to receive spam emails and occasionally the customer's personal information.
I like it when companies not only offers a good product but in addition, great service to back it up. There are many choices but having experienced other cable companies I can assure you, Spectrum gets it! Fast internet, easy to troubleshoot and a customer service the understand that their customers are their priority! I hope AT&T takes notes!
I only have spectrum for home internet and I hear a lot of people complain about them, but I have to say that I have never had a problem with them. I've been a customer for many years. The internet is good and is very fast. My bill is always correct and customer service is good.
This app is terrible. I can't watch tv because it goes out all day. I'm home bound for the most part because of my health.( pandemic) The TV is what keeps me going. I can't even watch it!
The first couple years with them was fine. As the price went up the service went down. I complained thru chat over the years. Always suspected i had old equipment but was told it was fine. This week i switched to t-mobile home internet. When i called to disconnect spectrum i got a sales pitch (i was expecting) but the girl told me my equipment was old and offered a promotion for 1 year. They should be offering promotions to existing customers without having to say you're disconnecting! Turning in the equipment seems easy enough. I can take it to the UPS store and they'll scan and ship it. Glad to be done with them.
Been on hold for almost two hours now. Even since the switch from Time Warner to spectrum, the internet and customer service has been terrible. I am on the Nextdoor app and the neighborhood consensus seems to be the same... See photo of how long I have been on hold...

They screwed up a recent transfer so badly and got lots of extra fees (if you want internet you'll pay up) then don't prorate your bill so they demanded I pay for 30 days of service for 10 days then another 30 days of service for 2 weeks. When I paid for the old residence over the phone they accidentally shut off my new address and I spent hours and hours on the phone getting it fixed. They shower me with emails, physical mail, phone calls, forever trying to get other business out of me. Infuriating. Why do we put up with this stuff.
Decent internet, rare outages. However my $49/month became $59, then $69, eventually I gave up and went with Fidium whose $35- beat Spectrum (after a month's use). Ping with Fidium is better and 50 up/down is just fine. The problem: Close account? Like the Hotel California, you can "check out anytime you like, but you can never leave." Yup, my "closed" account is still quite open. Worse, now I'm getting USPS mail: "Return your equipment." Uh, I'm not so stupid to "rent" equipment from you, I have my own router, thank you. Ok, I'll call and tell Spectrum that: Hmm... 60+ minute wait. Find another inet provider, if Fidium is available I'm very happy with them.
Worst customer service the store on mccarran in reno came in around noon on sunday took a number to pick up cable box I was number 5 in line and after 2 and half hours I only moved on space in line Both customer agents did not know what were going at all! Just sat there and BS with customer 1 and two for 2 hours everyone in the store was extremely mad at very stupid agents spectrum need to fire those 2 employees and get someone that knows what they are doing and respect peoples time!
No refunds now for unused service, Will not compete with other companies anymore, Extremely long wait times on the phone and they do not care about customers. They have the highest prices for their service and do not even have to come to your address to maintain it.
Nothing like trying to watch a movie & the screen freeze or the voices are with the picture.
On top of that you try the guide to change channels you get the error ( grey box) I really miss time warner NEVER had problems
I called customer service to asked about a charge. The representative did not like my questions and said something smart allect and hung up on me. I called again and the representative said to report fraud, so I did. But they are the FRAUDS.

We decided to switch from my name to my partners name, thus creating a new account, to receive a discount. Spectrum because they run on 'subscription' service, they do not prorate. So we only used the service for SIX days and were charge for 30. And they keep telling me I have to pay the full month. I pointed out that every time the service failed you only gave me a credit for one day, not the whole month. They did not care. So now I have been sent to collections, even after trying to get them to understand my point of view. They do not care. Plus there On Demand has become bits and pieces. The cable service was unreliable, always glitchy. They were out to our place so many times. If we had the option for a different provider for internet we would switch but considering they have a monopoly on the area (which is illegal) we cannot. So we have internet service with them only. And pay less than our cable bill by subscribing to multiple streaming services and have better options for movies/tv/on demand. If you can, get a different provider... Spectrum is a rip off!
I live in an HOA that requires me to have a landline which is connected to fire security.
In August 2022 I learned from the fire security firm that my landline was not operational.
I learned from Spectrum that my landline for no reason was no longer operational as of the end of October 2021.
There was no land line service for nine months however, I continued to pay for the service.
I do not use the land line for calls and did even have a phone so (line is simply connected to fire security) was unaware it was not operational.
Spectrum resolved the issue in August 2022.
Spectrum who discontinued service and has all the control refuses to reimburse me for the nine months in which I paid for services not received.
I was with Spectrum mobile for a year and my bill kept going up. I decided to change carrier and called to cancel my service. I was told I had to wait for next billing cycle as Spectrum does not prorate. I called 8 days after my cycle started.
I asked spectrum to install a landline phone they was advertising it for $9.99 a month. I notice my bill they was charging me $19.99 when I called and got through they said it was a mistake by Spectrum but they wouldn't credit the $30.00 back to my account
I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income to take $30.00 from me with a just I'm sorry I never expected from Spectrum
