Worse Customer services in history!

I will never ever buy from this company again, I bought 8 chairs and a table for £2200. The first table came without screws, I have to wait for nearly 3 weeks for the screws to arrive, well, they never did, it was the store manager who had the decency to come all the way to my house, 30-minute drive with no traffic to fix the table. The table was lying on the floor for all this time. When he finally has assembled the table, it turned out that the pegs are missing and the table is wobbly, I have been waiting now for another two weeks for the pegs, still not arrived. Meanwhile, I have spent more than 13 hours of my time over the phone, 13 hours, no kidding! Trying to get competent people to help me, but it has been impossible, they all lie or don't give dam of the situation, they prefer to lose the sale, take the table back then actually send a bloody pair of pegs! Please do not buy from them, people are the store is incredibly nice but the products are faulty and no one cares! Pictures of the current situation and a screened shot of the length of the phone call and yet no one has answered. Please do not buy from them, it is very common to be unlucky with this company!

Terrible experience!

I am still waiting since February for 2 chest of drawers that are fit for purpose.
I am amazed the quality is so poor, the first two chest of drawers were smashed, the second set arrrived after 7 full months, 6 of the 8 drawers need repainting, the side needs painting and one drawer side is covered in white filler and never painted.
More shocking is customer service or lack of, we have to process every element of the repair, phone wait and hour and wait and hope.
I have my second engineer visit booked the first one drove here without any spray. I have no confidence someone can rattle can spray 6 drawers and one side, fill and sand a top and they will match some furniture made in a Far Eastern factory.
I will never buy from them again, I suggest you never do.

The most appalling customer service in the known universe... Delivered the wrong wardrobe which has been blocking the front door for 3 weeks+ now.

No helpful responses at all to numerous emails. Forget phone calls - the misleadingly titled 'helpline' never answers. As for in-store queries? 'Not my problem' was the response.

These cowboys shouldn't be allowed to trade. Disgraceful, bordering on criminal. Avoid at all costs.

Cheap leather
September 20, 2021

I purchased a Leather settee in July 2020 from Oak Furniture clearance, it has cracked and peeled, I telephoned Newport Oak furniture clearance and they said that there are no guarantees and there is nothing they can do as the products were sold as seen, this settee was bought with a sale tag stating it was New, surely there is something that can be done, it resembles a 20 year old settee, we are both in our late 80's.

Do not take out there Insurance. Sofa broke just after a year. Was sold it as an amazing insurance that would come out and clean it if we wanted. Any spills, breakages, tears etc. It took them 3-4 months to come out, then had a rude technician turn up. Won't do any thing about the tear under the recliner that my wife put a safety pin in to stop the tear. It's been 2 months and still waiting for the replacement mechanism to be delivered for me to either fit myself or book a technician to come and fit, which took 2 months to get them out in the first place. Getting on to be nearly a year for them to fix the recliner. Categorically told they will not touch the rip in the material.

We moved to a new house two years ago and I bought furniture for three bedrooms from the Hove range. I knew that the bodies of the furniture weren't solid oak but I wanted the white finish with the oak tops. No problems at all. Very pleased with all items and they look lovely. With a new-build house everything is white! The oak tops just break up the "whiteness".
Fast forward two years………I ordered items from the Brindle painted range for our lounge. I thought they would fit in nicely with the Brindle bookcase and large desk and chair in the study (bought two years ago). I wanted to move the bookcase into our lounge so removed all the books. To my horror I found that all the painted areas exposed to light had faded terribly. The areas covered by books had not. I then checked the desk and the insides of doors, drawers and the side that gets no light were the original colour. The rest has faded. Ok, hands up, I hadn't really noticed but once I did I was appalled. The furniture I planned to replace is 32 years old and is still lovely. I just wanted something more modern.
To cut a long story short, I've had a battle with Customer Services. When I finally(2 hours plus in total) got through I was told the items were out of the 1 year manufacturers warranty and to claim on the insurance I took out., which I did.
They rejected the claim. They don't cover fading. The furniture is in a North facing room which gets little sun, if any, just natural daylight. Am I supposed to keep my curtains closed?! I didn't let this drop. It's been a bit of a battle but we "escalated " the claim and someone is coming to look at the furniture tomorrow. Watch this space!
I cancelled my order for the new Brindle furniture and got a refund within 3 days which was a pleasant surprise. I have since ordered from another company.
In short, beware the ranges with the coloured painted finishes…. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be replacing expensive items after two years,

Ordered wardrobes and chests of drawers on 10th December 2020, wardrobes were delivered late, chest of drawers delayed till September, booked a days holiday for delivery on 7th September when I rang them to confirm it would be delivered was told it hadn't been booked in and now wouldn't be available till December that's a years wait.
Tried ringing customer service on hold for over an hour Saturday and today - more chance of winning the lottery.
Only way to speak to somebody is by pretending you want to place a new order then you get transferred about, have now sent an electronic complaint message they are supposed to reply within two days - if not then Small Claims Court.
Awful customer service avoid this company at every opportunity

We ordered - and paid for - multiple pieces of furniture in September of last year and yet we're still awaiting delivery of the last item! Umpteen cancellations, apathetic staff, non-existent customer care. We've been fortunate that the quality of the goods was fine - but as for customer experience? Forget it! The shame is that I had to give them one star to place this review - there should be a special kind of review with negative stars for outfits like this!

Disgusted!

If it would let me give this sham of a company 0 stars then I would have.
I waited 3.5 months for my order to be delivered to then be told a couple of days before the scheduled delivery date there was a delay and I would need to wait at least another month.
I then asked for a refund. I have now been waiting over 2 weeks for this and still haven't received my refund! I have rang them several times and their customer service is appalling.
I am seriously considering taking them to trading standards!
Avoid this company at all costs!

Cant deliver after waiting 4 months?
I ordered a bed frame and mattress over 4 months ago.
In preparation for the delivery, the old bed and mattress were taken away and I am sleeping on the sofa.
I called the branch I purchased from to check the delivery was still scheduled as arranged, only to be told there is a months delay on the delivery. No one had communicated this to me, I guess I would have booked a day off work and waited in all day for the delivery for nothing.
The branch could only offer an email to customer services. They apparently cant contact customer services. What utter Bu115hit.
I have been trying for over an hour to get customer services to answer the phone with no luck.
This is a PI55 poor company.
They have my money in full but cant deliver after waiting over 4 months.
If I could put a zero star rating I would. What abysmal service.
DO NOT TRUST THESE CLOWNS.
This is my first and last purchase from these 1diots

Attitude

Attitude off staff in store and on the phone line. They dont seem too want the business nor a job by the sounds of it. I rang the store up they didnt want check stock for me. So they said come on down ploy etc then they said we have one of what i wanted but are not selling that item for what ever reason. It really is laughable too behonest. Wasted journey and day.

Delivery staff there are other professional and lie, have to wait on the phone for over one hour to get through to someone in their customer service this.
Well what can I say about oak furniture, delivery staff who say they made a delivery to me yesterday but left a card saying "sorry we missed you" and this is how long it took me to get through to someone in there customer service this morning only to tell me she would ring me back once I told her I have cctv installed. But if you do need to contact someone, press 1 when you get through and someone in there sales team answers straight away. Never again

After waiting 12 weeks for deliver our TV unit and side table turned up, the side table was scratched and the TV unit door was broken and it had scratches!
I contacted their customer service and they gave me £40 off the table and offered the same off the TV unit which I declined and said I wanted a new one!
They obliged and the new TV unit came, in initial inspection the TV unit was fine but after having it only a month the wood has split at both sides of it! I can't believe the wood quality is so poor! The wood also seems to scratch very easily! See photos below which show the splits in the wood! I am so disappointed as I have used this company in the past and my previous experience was very positive but I would no longer recommend them at all Stay away!

Ordered some furniture from these bunch of clowns. After speaking with their telesales team and giving the dimensions and floor plan from my property I was assured by 2 separate people that the items will fit. Delivery driver (who was very good to be fair to him) advised that the items wouldn't go into the room we needed. Spoke to 1st person in Customer Services who refunded everything into the wrong account. Spoke to 2nd person in Customer Service they couldn't see why the refund hadn't work. I informed them it went into the wrong account so they had to investigate. Spoke to 3rd person who said they couldn't see anything relating to the 1st investigation. Do yourself a favour and stay well clear

Title says it all. Placed an order in December 2020. Delivery date set for June 2021. Received an email two weeks before delivery was due to say they have processed my refund.

Called them (waited 30 mins to get through) to be told my order had been cancelled but they couldn't explain why. The order cannot be un-cancelled so would I like to place the order again and wait another six months...

If you're thinking of ordering from Oak Furnitureland do yourself a favour - do not bother.

Delivery two seat settees. On arrival did not take away packaging or secure legs on both settees. Daughter asked if they could remove plastic. One extreme rude abusive disrespectful man shouted at her will cost you loads of money not my problem sort it yourself. Bran new owner first house move young and excited daughter was shocked asked for his name. He refused as did his partner said he wasn't going to drop him init. Both refused to apologise and caused severe disappointment to a great day of moving. Both men very rude and unprofessional. Daughter was very upset and is a professional graduate with high experience of customer care.

Didn't show up with my delivery and sat on hold for hours- they never answer! I took a day off work to be in for the delivery slot and no one ever turned up. They just have one number on the website that you sit on hold for hours to and no other means of contacting.

We ordered some furniture from the Oak Furnitureland website which was supposed to arrive within 6 weeks. We didn't get it until 9 months later. When it arrived, one item was damaged, and another had what looked like flecks of paint or woodstain on it. The furniture is generally not very well put together, with gaps in between the joints. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality – the furniture we received looks like factory rejects. We will not be buying from Oak Furnitureland again, and would definitely not recommend.

Constantly calling
May 30, 2021

So l had a look online. L was going to place an order when l finish work. 4 missed calls and voice messages constantly calling. So obviously this put me off, asked to not call. When filling out my details put contact by emails only. STILL CALLING.
Please can you stop. Due to this l do not Want to order anything
