If I could give them one star, I would. Absolutely horrendous customer service. I purchased a piece of furniture. It comes in three boxes. I then purchased another one of the same pieces of furniture. Only two of the three boxes arrived. We began to put it together and asked our delivery driver where the third box was. He said it was damaged, they won't be delivering it. I called Beyond customer service and waited on hold for 3 hours before I was able to speak with someone who told me to wait until the end of the day and call back if it didn't arrive. I called back the next day, over 3 hour wait time that day and was told it says it's being delivered, call back. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was put on hold multiple times only to never get to speak to a supervisor. I was told the supervisor would call me back, they didn't. I was told I would receive updates via email, I didn't. I called again and after over an hour, I spoke to a supervisor who tells me they no longer have the item in stock so I'll need to disassemble it, re-package it and take it to a shipper to send back to them so they can refund me. No sincere apologies, no resolution, no offering for all my time and effort that was wasted. An absolute joke. Do not buy from them!
I ORDERED PATIO FURNITURE ON AUGUST. 6TH. IT WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS AND WAS THE WRONG COLOR. I HAD TO HIRE A MOVING COMPANY TO BRING IT TO ME TO FIND THIS OUT. I CALLED BBB AND WAS TOLD I WOULD NEED TO PAY $189. TO HAVE IT PICKED UP IN 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS. IT HAS NOW BEEN 11 DAYS AND IT IS STILL BOXED AND SITTING IN MY ENTRY HALL. IT IS EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT FOR MY HUSBAND, WHO IS IN A WALKER, TO GET AROUND THE BOXES. IF THIS IS HOW THEY CONDUCT THEIR BUSINESS I RECOMMEND YOU AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM
I purchased a small padded bench online. The product arrived defective; two of the joints were coming apart. I returned it after speaking with a customer service representative. They would not reimburse me for shipping, even though their website said they would reimburse for costs associated with the return of defective products. Avoid this company!
I placed an online order with Bed Bath & Beyond on June 26 and canceled it on June 27—well before it shipped. They shipped the item anyway, and I received it on June 29. I was then told I would have to pay return shipping myself. Their return policy says the customer is responsible—but that's buried in fine print. It's unfair and feels like a way to push responsibility onto the buyer even when the company is at fault. With physical stores now closed, you're relying on an online system that lacks transparency and accountability. I won't be shopping here again and encourage others to think twice.
I sent the product back. I sent emails. I gave them everything. And I still didn't get my money back. Customer service acted like they couldn't understand what a return was. News flash: just because I called your site "crap" in my email doesn't mean you get to ignore me. Grow up and process the damn refund. This is not the old Bed Bath & Beyond. It's the discount-bin version run by people who couldn't care less about customers. I'll be filing complaints until this gets fixed. Avoid this mess unless you like frustration served cold. Strangely, the order is now missing from my order history and most of my emails with customer service are gone. I only have my original message left. This makes the whole thing feel even more shady.
Ordered a sofa. Took our money. Never shipped. FTC violation. Made multiple inquiries. Empty promises to run to ground. Allegedly in stock 400 miles away but no answers. Stay away from BBB aka Overstock
The return policy is a SCAM. They intentionally DELAY and play games hoping you'll go away. I've been trying to return a defective crappy mattress for 3 weeks and these scammers go around in circles and straight up lie over and over again. I've wasted hours calling to speak with their call centers in other countries. They apologize each time and assure me they are escalating the return to the correct team. They ask for photos then send a list of questions, none of which are relevant to my return - then after I respond to them all - they start all over! "We're sorry, your return was not properly escalated two weeks ago." It's beyond absurd.
Over a dozen requests to speak with a supervisor and yet one was never available. I've given up and have just accepted the loss of over $800. It's not worth the stress anymore. Over the holidays too, these people truly have no shame. The whole return policy is a scam. NEVER buy from these fools. Hopefully their corporate offices will respond. We shall see.
They put the capital T in terrible. I ordered a couch at the beginning of November and it arrived with missing parts! The couch looks a complete mess! I reached out to get the missing parts and was offered a $100 discount to keep the couch as is by the warehouse! Which was alot of audacity, I was able to speak to another representative that finally stated there policy was to ship a replacement. My replacement order was started on November 30th and I have yet to receive a replacement! This order was regenerated several times by incompetent reps who clearly do NOT communicate with the warehouse. I paid $1200+ for this couch and have recieved piss poor customer service. I've had reps hang up on me, not return my phone calls and completely ignore this issue. DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THEM! You will lose your money and be stuck with a piece of crap! They have ruined the holiday season for me, as my home looks terrible due to having incomplete furniture! Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to shop!
I ordered this couch and never received it and they are refusing to give me money back or send me a replacement. They delivered it while I was at work, in the middle of the day in the middle of a walkway, not my front porch. No signature required and just left it there. By the time I got home it wasn't there. I called immediately and they sent me on a wild goose chase with UPS and promised a refund after the investigation was complete. I called back after a 10!day investigation and they are now refusing to refund me or send me a replacement. Just like that I am out of $700 and can't do anything about it. This place is the devil. Don't waste your time or money
The selection online is huge and larher than most stores. I was able to find whatbi wanted and it shipped out very fast. Very impressed.
Bed Bath and Beyond went bankrupt. They were good to deal with. Overstock.com bought the name. You are now dealing with Overstock.com. I returned an item, unopened, and they refunded me half the money. They tell me that is in the fine print. They promised to exchange a $600 defective lamp but never did. I was told today it's too late.
Bought a murphy bed online with free 14 day delivery. Paid for it which they promptly charged my card, when the confirmation email came it showed the delivery date at 5 months. I contacted there CS. And was told yes it would be 5 months to which I told her I would like to cancel, She told me I would have to wait until it was delivered then send it back for a refund. I had to get my credit card company to revese the charge because of fraud which they did.They are selling items they don't have, whic is a precurser to usally going bankrupt. BEWARE!
Customer service representative hung up the phone on me because I refused to repeat myself a third time. When I called back to explain to another representative that the 20% coupon off entire order was visible prior to paying but was removed prior to charging my card, the representatives lied and stated sale items can't get a coupon sale also (proof of lie attached). I told them I duplicated my efforts and can screenshot it taking off both discounts and the rep ignored me and kept lying. I asked for a supervisor and she came back and said a supervisor won't speak to me because prices change at random and they can't control that. The prices never changed in an hour. The 20% coupon simply wasn't applied. The resolution was for me to charge the entire order again & hope the 1st order from an hour ago doesn't ship from the warehouse & gets canceled. The attachments show that a sale AND coupon can be together. All I wanted was a credit for the difference of est. $59. I definitely wasn't charging over $1000 twice without a guarantee of a cancelation.
Biggest scam on the market next to temu. Like wasting money on things that fall apart in a few weeks? Please continue to shop at places like this.
I paid over $1000.00 for furniture on June 23. It was to be delivered in 3-4 days. Called on July 1 to ask where it was. They put in another order number for it. They said if I did not receive it by July 5, to call and I could cancel. Called July 5 because the FedEx tracking says shipping label created but nothing has shipped. I was told that they would cancel the order but would not be able to send me an email indicating that the order is cancelled. What? The foreign "customer service" rep was rude. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said her supervisor said she was in a long call and couldn't do anything more for me. The rep spoke over me and kept getting louder telling me that I accepted what she told me about the cancellation. This was a horrible experience. I see their rating of 1.2 stars and so get it. BUYER BEWARE! I fear I will never see the $1000.00.
Buyer beware! Worst customer service EVER! I have been dealing with them for 10 weeks with no results. I have asked numerous times for a supervisor but they were "never available". Finally spoke to two different supervisors who personally promised to see me through the returns and would escalate my return with the large item return department. Never heard back from either. I finally received an email stating they were working on getting the cheapest delivery fee arranged. Waited days and responded to their email asking for the status….No response. A few days later I received an email stating their return label system was down and I would hear from them once it was back up. Waited a few more days and sent another email requesting them to give me return reference numbers for my 3 returns and I would arrange shipping….still nothing. They should be ashamed of themselves treating customers this way. Beyond frustrating!
If I could give a zero I would, the plastic rings to adjust the balloon curtains fall apart at the touch and the lace snags before I got it out of the plastic wrapping. I tried to get a replacement but I failed to ask within the 30 day policy. I was moving. Know this new company will not grant any exceptions to the 30 day policy even if the product they sell is a piece of crap. Sign me as very unsatisfied person who will never ever shop here again. I have lost $75 dollars on this really subpar product. Lesson learned.
Absolutely deplorable. Failed to disclose return policy and subsequently stole $200 from my refund. They won't respond to my email or calls. I'll see them in small claims court.
First of all, I'd like to say I will never purchase anything from Bed Bath & Beyond online anymore. I purchased two end tables C shaped end tables that did not work in my room. They were too small. So I went through the process in returning. It was difficult to communicate with Bed Bath & Beyond because they refused to handle it since it wasn't one of their products but belong to somebody else that they shipped through Bed Bath & Beyond. I had 1 week to return and the seller would not cover my shipping cost nor would they send a shipping label. I had to pay for my own shipping to return them, $32 worth they required a 25% restocking fee. I paid $136 for the two tables. They gave me a refund of $92 minus the $32 that I paid for shipping Doesn't leave me much left. The tables I returned were in their boxes, not opened sealed properly as they were shipped to me. I shipped them back. I will only deal with Amazon or someplace else where I can get free shipping and free returns. I will never deal with Bed Bath & Beyond and I would never recommend anybody purchasing anything from them.
This company has the worst customer service ever! We tried to cancel our rug order a few hours after we ordered it, but they can't seem to cancel orders, we had this happen once before, and then charged us shipping back the rug. They also don't update their data. They called me Nadia, I'm not Nadia. And they hadn't updated my address, tried to blame it on PayPal. PayPal has my right address. I will never even order a pencil from this site;

Answer: How can you share a success story when you hold on three separate phone calls for an excess of 16 hours to resolve a refund issue where you are not able to make contact through email because of a shortage of employees yet you are told that you exceeded the 15-minute window? I have been waiting for my refund since the 13th of August and I have yet to receive it
Answer: Bed Bath & Beyond is a scam! They took my money and NEVER sent my order and won't give me a refund! The worste online shopping experience I have ever had!
