Placed an order from George's Pizza. Got an estimated delivery date by 8:30. Three delays later and the food is still not here. I called the restaurant and asked if I could come pick it up. They said sure. My partner went to get the food, while I "chatted" with the help on the app. They canceled the order AFTER I told them my parter was picking up the food! They also claim, on the app, the restaurant is now closed, which is a lie! Clifford, the "chat representative" then closed out the chat on me. 🤬 Don't use GrubHub. They aren't worth it.
I literally just downloaded grubhub app last night because I wanted some different options to choose from than what I've been use to on door dash. I ordered from conviction chicken here in Dayton Ohio; I wanted to add onion rings to my order; that's it. I was charged for THREE orders all with the same things; chicken wings and fries basket and onion rings. I tried chatting with someone to cancel the extra orders but she only managed to cancel one so I ended up getting two orders of chicken wings and fries and two orders of onion rings; I chatted with someone a few minutes ago and of course they said they can't issue a refund because it was already delivered…so it's safe to say I'll be deleting this app today because I'm not going to be robbed by some app; I refuse.
Grubhub sucks. Their app is not interactive. It took an hour to get a delivery that I would normally pick up from the same restaurant in less than 15 minutes. Also, they do not give you all of the menu options, so I was forced to pay for a dinner priced meal instead of the lunch specials this restaurant offers. On top of that, I ordered from a mexican restaurant and I did not get the chips and salsa that always comes with my to go orders I pick up myself. I called and verified with the restaurant, and because it was a Grubhub order, they do not provide the chips and salsa without paying extra for them. TOTAL SCAM. So I now paid a tip, delivery fee, service fee and had to pay for dinner pricing (portions are the same for lunch and dinner offerings) and ended up with less food. Ridiculous. Not sure how Grubhub is still in business. I only delivered because my car is being serviced and I was without a car at this time.
They said they delivered my dinner and they never were here. The picture they sent where it was left was a black photo. They would not redeliver and the won't refund me what paid! Only partial refund! WTF! I'm so angry. No dinner when I'm not feeling well and can't go to the market.
I ordered food from a local restaurant via Grubhub (I don't want to mention the restaurant because this is NOT their fault).
The food was delivered 30 minutes past the order time but an hour and a half after the order time (based on the food quality, I think the restaurant made the food immediately).
The food arrived late, but more importantly COLD. Not just "not hot" or "barely warm," but COLD.
And it was nasty. There were "fresh" toppings that were completely ruined.
Grubhub offered $5 on a NEXT order.
Why would there be a NEXT order?
I paid $21.00 to waste an hour and half of my time to get nasty food.
I seriously don't know what happened to this company but they continue to completely not show up or deliver anything on time if even at all. If you have any questions about where to spend an over priced delivery fee to have a vendor not show up, grub hub is the place. I am canceling my account and will never use this company again. Customer service? No, you can't even talk to someone when you have been sitting waiting to feed your family and they tell you it was delivered and there is no food anywhere in site. I have driven to my neighbors houses several times thinking they dropped at the wrong house but nothing turns up. When I go online to see the photo of the food delivered I get a message that says they can't pull up the photo. Odd… of course they can't, because the food wasn't dropped within two miles of my house.save your money and don't spend a premium on a company that has zero accountability and that you can't reach.
I am sick and tired of all these meal delivery companies low standards for employment. I want a dependable company. When I order food I'm hungry and too busy to shop. I have been left waiting for an expensive food order only to find the remains on the
Sidewalk in a common area. This time the door dash order actually came to the building entered through the front desk the door man called me but food never made it to my door. I called the doorman and said she went in and came out with it and left. She pretended to deliver. Omg I'm starving now I have to figure out something else and its late.
I recommend getting a refund which I did and cancel any members or monthly charges and delete the app.

Orderd food at the same time from two restaurants that are directly across the street from each other. Food came from one but not the other. Kept getting text saying order was delayed. Hour and a half goes by still no food. Finally I get a cancelation of order notice. Called gubhub to find out why. They said they couldn't find a driver. You mean to tell me that the same driver couldn't pick up both orders going to same location from the two restaurants that are next to each other. What a joke. Then also while making my complaint I was told I would be put on hold so they could figure out why this happened. Lol been on hold for 20 min and am still waiting for representative to give me an answer. I guess they think if you get tired of waiting on hold you will just give up and hang up. Not me not today... first and last time I ever use this service again...
The driver's always take the longest possible route to your house and what should be like 45 minute delivery from store to table turns into a 2 hour delivery because they absolutely suck and then they think that by giving you a $5 credit somehow that makes up for them adding all that time! You literally could have walked to the restaurant and back home with the food faster! I am so glad this is a free service with my prime membership or else I'd be asking for a refund on it I've ordered from GrubHub five times the first time GrubHub canceled the order without me even knowing and then I had to argue with them for refund don't know why the second time my food came and it was so cold I had to heat it up in the oven the third and fourth time I swear the delivery driver took like the longest back road possible and again my food arrived cold now this time I ordered at 6:00 it is now 7:30 and it's still saying that my food won't be delivered for another half hour
If I could give this less than 1 star I would. We ordered several meals through GrubHub from Carrabba's. When we got the order, the bread (served with ALL of Carrabba's entries) was missing. Further, we ordered soup but were provided only a knife, fork and napkin with which to eat it. I contacted GrubHub help and got a canned reply stating that bread didn't come with the Rigatoni dish (which it does) because they (Grub Hub) couldn't see it listed as one of the components of the meal. What about the Spaghetti, Mezzaluna or Chicken Bryan we ordered? They made it sound like I "forgot" to order it. News Flash: it's not listed as a component on any of their entrees because it automatically comes with every dinner. Why would I need to request it in other instructions? Also, the seasonings and oil packet were in the order but no bread? Why would they include the seasoning and oil if bread was not included and had to be ordered separately? The little box on the GrubHub that says "include utensils" was checked and we got several packages of a knife, a fork and a napkin, but no spoon for the soup. Again, if I checked the box indicating I wanted utensils included, why would I need to request them in the additional instructions for each item? GrubHub didn't even bother to contact the restaurant. So very disappointed. This is NOT the first time we have had missing items from our Grub Hub order or issues with delivery, but it most certainly will be the last. There are other delivery services that do so much better!
The jerk that delivered my "splurge pizza night," left my $40 pizza on the front porch in 35 degree weather. They didn't call, text or even knock and run. I found it when I locked the front door on my way to bed. I called grub hub to complain and get a refund the the $10+ fees they charged me, after. 14-minute call, I was told the best they can do is give me credit. LOL! As if I would ever use them again! Hysterical. I hung up on the lady, who was from another country. Can't deliver a pizza or hire people in their own country! Never again. The picture below just shows the pizza charge, I paid $38.88, so they ripped me off by $12.82. Jerks.
Want to order food when you're hungry? Want to wait 45 minutes for it, then have the driver mark the order as delivered but never actually deliver? Then use grubhub! Call their customer service number +1 *******878 and get some foreigner to apologize and issue you a refund while you're pissed that you're still hungry. I absolutely LOATHE this garbage company. Use anyone BUT them.
I was so mad! Waited 2 1/2 hrs. For my order.
Contacted customer support saying his going to double check my order. Got a text from customer support saying my order will be arriving at 10 plus, so | waited 15 min. To arrive, but it didn't arrive, got text stating my order was cancelled. Very mad! Because it was very late to order now!

Driver left bag on my steps. No name, order info and opened bag to find steak with cheese and fries. I ordered Kung pao shrimp and hot and sour soup. Called Grub Hub and got refund. The Mexican food was really good and I got a free meal. Hope the person that got my Chinese food liked it.
I got a year free delivery charges through my credit card.
I still got charged and had to chat with customer service in another country, and keep repeating myself. It was painful.
Each delivery, I ask the driver to ring the door bell for a tip; to avoid them leaving my food on the ground. They still leave it on the ground and don't ring the bell.
I just happen to look out to find cold food.
I'm using Postmates and Uber Eats once my free subscription ends.

DO NOT USE GRUBHUB. The other day I placed an order with grubhub. I realized i forgot something after placing the order and went to add the item to the order, which the app seems to indicate is possible. Instead of modifying the order, it created a second order. Because I was busy and not necessarily paying attention to the notifications, I did not realize this until one order was delivered and another was on the way. I contacted customer service and was basically told they could not refund me, even though this was an error on their end. Doordash's customer service would absolutely have made this right. If an order is one minute late with doordash, they will give you a refund. Grubhub's deliveries are consistently late. Even though I have the free membership through Grubhub, I would rather light myself on fire than use their service again. Seriously do not use them.
Brian was very fast getting to the restaurant and my food was still hot. He apologized for the restaurant not having something that I ordered
I will never use them again! I live straight down the street from the restaurant that I ordered from. I had to place my order 2-3 times and still did not receive my orders/food.
I had two different drivers and either one of them delivered food, one delivered to a business that was CLOSED and the other driver delivered to a mailbox! Very detailed driving directions were given, and I don't understand why they didn't find my address or try to contact me at all. I tried contacting each driver and they would not answer text or phone calls. These drivers are so unprofessional,

Ordered from a restaurant n delivery time kept changing, couldn't pick it up so I cancelled the order and never received my money back. Called multiple times and jus to be told it's under review by a senior specialist, 2 months and have yet to receive my money or any information on the status. They take your money for services they can't deliver and then won't give you your money back. Avoid if need

Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
