on 8/6/19Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
I read online that if a customer cancels the order, the driver still gets paid, and keeps the food. It's totally plausible that they just ignore the phone and wait for the order to cancel. I think this is what happened to me. I assume that this catches up with them eventually. Still, Grubhub should do something about this.
I'd be much happier with waiting 2 hours and getting my food. I waited 1.5 hours to be told that my food will not be coming today.
