I have been using gearbest for two years now, and have spent almost 2000 Euros in the website, I have bought a laptop, smartphones, earphones, a speaker and many other items. The items come in about 3-4 weeks and never had to send anything back, the custommer support always responds within 48 hours although the answers seem preset the problem always is solved. Right now Gearbest is my main store when it comes to tech because it sells from great brands such as Xiaomi.
My latest purchase was a laptop. This is in fact the greatest laptop you can get for the price you pay, beside to the specs you see on the description of the laptop, it also has an extra slot for another ssd to expand the 256gb, the keyboard is the same used in previous versions of the macbook, so has you'd expect is of great quality, the backlid lighting is also very great when in the dark. The battery can last about 8 hours, the screen has great colors. The fingerprint is precise and fast, and the speakers have very rich and loud sound when the laptop is in a table.
It has a few minor inconveniences: The windows comes in chinese but you can easily reinstall windows and still keep the licence and the edges are a bit sharp when you carry it.
Overall the greatest laptop i have ever had, and if i wanted to buy a laptop with the same specs and construction quality in my country (Portugal), I would have to spend at least 1500 Euros.
On more than one occasion, I've been lured into giving money in advance to this company, when they didn't even have the item in stock (although their webpage *always* lists items as purchasable, never giving users any warnings as to stock status, etc...)
I had opened a ticket in their system, and they replied by saying my item was "backordered" - upon my questioning about it never been advertised as such in its page, they replied:
"Stock and availability shown on our site is for your reference only." - THIS IS BULL$#*!!
You either place ACTUAL stock availability info or you REMOVE IT. You are scammers who use the lowest techniques to lure customers into giving you money.
I am fed up with this bad practice. On top of this BS, these are the options they offered me:
- "Option 1: Wait a little longer." (SERIOUSLY?)
- "Option 2: Exchange for another item of my choice." - now, if I had wanted another item, would I have not picked... erm... ANOTHER ITEM? And what if that item was also in "backorder"?
None of the options were satisfying, I wanted my money back, and to get them to do it, I had to exchange "a few" more messages with them until they finally bulged and refunded me.
Gearbest, from this moment on, you are in my $#*!list. You are among the worst scamming websites I have ever seen. Good bye.

Looks like i have to resort to this again, as Gearbest employees dont seem to want to help me and understand my issue.
On 2018-07-17 00:01:00 i placed on order with number: **************262
Imediately after placing it, i send a ticket to them asking about the availability of the items( lately it seems that gearbest has a lots of delays on delivering items). After arguing a bit with their representative, i decided to wait for the items, as i really wanted them and i already had clients for them. So we decided for split delivery( fsend first the items they have, then the rest that werent so important).
The first package was posted on 19.07 with Belgium Post, a postal carrier i`ve used in the past because it never failed me.
My items arrived in Belgium on 23.07, and then left from Belgium to Romania on 31.07.
This is the moment it started being fishy because in Belgium a package never stays more than 4 days, not 8.
The item should have arrive in romania, and entered our tracking sistem on 2, and then delivered to me 3-4 days later tops.
What happened? I dunno. Because the trracking doesnt recognised the trackingnumber. The item didnt came to romania at all, and not gearbest doesnt want to refund/ send me a new package.
Their representative first said the delivery take 15-20 days. On their website it says 15-28 days. Now the representative tells me to until until september 17.2 months for a registered package with tracking? I feel like i`m talking with walls, they dont even care.
PS: Photo 2 reads: We are sorry, but the package with this tracking number has not been registered in our postal database.

Then you do Paypal dispute, they refuse to refund unless you close the case, if you close the case, Paypal will not help.
