I've only used Gearbest a few times but so far they've always been very good and I haven't had a single complaint about a product.
The reason I'm rating it a 4 star and not 5 is mainly for 2 reasons.
One, there is room for improvement. Even though they sometimes have excellent deals, I do find stuff on other sites with a similar service/handling of orders quite a bit cheaper. Not always, but often enough for me to shop around and compare prices.
The other thing is that I really like the feeling of being cared for, getting enough personal attention. A lot of (mostly but not always smaller) shops do this, compare it to a B&M store knowing their customers' needs, they know them by name, etc. I've worked in customer service and was trained to go the extra mile. Gearbest doesn't really give me that impression but that doesn't mean they have specific shortcomings.
I've heard many bad stories about Gearbest but I've always been content and I always received the product that I was looking for in a timely manner. I never had to rely on customer support so I can't rate them on it.
I usually use Paypal or CC to pay online, never had an issue with them.
