So, AFTER I had already received an email stating that my wife and I had CONFIRMED e-tickets issued, I found out today, when I went to the airport that FareDepot had cancelled our tickets. After I called the representative to get clarification, I was told about a processing code that I should have received, about which I was never called, but simply emailed (as if emails NEVER go to SPAM, right?). Then why did they email us confirmations!? And the rep was adamant that they DO NOT call as a policy. They also do not email you or call you to let you know your ticket has been cancelled. That's on you to find out either by monitoring your CC statement or going to the airport.
As a high school principal, my wife and I travel frequently, especially during the little time we get off for Summer. FareDepot caused me to incur significant loss and therefore I will not only never purchase anything through their site, but I will also not authorize any purchases for our high school's student trips. I will also strongly recommend to the other high schools in our district to steer clear and not be fooled by them.
What upset me the most was their lack of cooperation and their unwilling to help.
My budget for tickets to Bermuda was less. I wanted to economical option. When I logged into FareDepot.com, I found options within my budget. I couldn’t have asked for more.
I booked 4 flights to Greece i went back and for with one of the customer service reps regarding my daughters and son in laws tickets if we could get a credit voucher since my daughter could not fly to Greece per doctors orders. I was told we had to use voucher by Aug 31 2021 & fly to Greece by 2/4/2022 well my daughter would not be able to do that since she is pregnant and doctor said not to fly due to the delta variant. So I had canceled & took the chance of losing 1425. 00 but what happened is my flight was canceled i went back and forth the BLAME was put on ME I was told they couldn't do anything about it the flights were 2850 they would pay for half I would pay for half so my trip cost me double I had already paid for a trip they canceled 1425. 00 & had to pay for 1425. 00 so my trip cost me 5700. 00. I was told they are not Expedia & they cant afford to lose money since they are a small company. They knew they canceled wrong flight and they didn't fixed the issue! WATCH OUT FOR THESE SCAMMERS THAT TAKE TAKE YOUR MONEY. THEY SHOULD NOT GET A STAR AT ALL. WATCH OUT FOR THERE LIES!
I'm so disappointed. After emailing and calling them to change my flight date, it would cost me a lot more than just purchasing a whole new ticket. So I bought my ticket using skyscanner and it directed me to this site. It's cheap so I purchased it. It cost around $800.
Unfortunately things came up so I had to change my date. I called in and they said would cost me additional $425 to change. That includes $200 admin fee and the flight difference cost. I thought it was okay and made the change. I emailed them with my credit card info. Within 6 hrs later, I contacted them to cancel but they wouldn't and said its already issued. My date wasn't set and know I will need to change my date again. Buy I let it go and figured I just needed to pay $200 admin fee next time since I already paid for the flight difference.
I called them again for the changes and they said they would charge me an additional $900! Just to change a ONE WAY! It doesn't make sense since I saw cheaper online. So at this point, they said they can refund but I will only get around $400 back out of the $1225 I paid for. WTF. So I contacted the airline and they told me the ticket is not issued yet. I'm worried about this company... Not trust worthy.

These guys are fraud and they send fake iternary and confirmation mails.
I tried to purchase a ticket yesterday to travel abroad and i saw ticket prices very less on FareDepot, so i gave my debit card details to purchase the ticket.
Then i received a mail saying my booking is received.
Later today morning i received a mail to confirm a transaction of 3.28 as a confirmation for "Security Charge amount".
I replied them by sending a screen shot of transaction of 3.28.
I received a mail saying that my booking is confirmed and my ticket will be sent shortly and i was charged 900 dollars.
I didnt receive any ticket from them and meanwhile my bank send me a mail that a fraud activity in recent transactions is being done and respond it.
So guys Don't Purchase anything from them.
Complete Fraud.
I wish i could just spent few minutes before purchasing the ticket.
P. S: I called my bank to stop that transaction which is in pending.
Also i mailed faredepot to cancel my reservation.
NO response, so i had called the customer service and asked to cancel my reservation and she cancelled it.

I was booking usa to india for buisness class. They quoted 6k and said wait 1-3 days for confirmation, next they said card was declined but my account was emptied! That money was for surgery!
Previously I wrote a review about how faredepot tricked me to pay a few hundreds more for the flight tickets etc. now I'm writing again cuz i want to warm you AGAIN NOT to deal with this company! Here is why: luckily I got in the flight and flew to my holiday destination after all that trouble with FD, but one day during my trip I got an email saying my return flights schedule got changed. Within the same email they provided me a new schedule with a different destination(? Hello, I'm flying home, but not to a different city), so I tried to contact them back and of course after a long wait with no response and no concrete answers, I menage to get the problem solved by myself with the help of the airline companies. (I called 2 continents, 2 airlines, 7 agents for 3days). As for today, after almost 3wks of waiting I still haven't heard from FD who had asked me to be patient for them to solve the rescheduling issue. And I also confirmed with airline companies that they had never got the requests from the faredepot regarding my rescheduling issue as I was told on the phone! So... hope this will prevent you to get into the flight ticket nightmare with Faredepot!
I had my flight on 24th of August 2016. I cancelled my reservation and I got this emial from FAREDEPOT saying that I will get my refund in 2-3 weeks from that time.
AFTER MANY WEEKS AND WEEKS. The AIRLINE COMPANY (AIR CANADA) has REFUNDED the AMOUNT BEFORE 5 weeks. And Now I got a reply through this TRUSTPILOT that they don't guaranteed the refund. THEY CHARGED ME AN EXTRA FRESH charge of 190$ immediately to process my refund process.
FAREDEPOT IS AN OFFICIAL SCAM. I tried my best to get my right back BUT I COULDN'T. All I want to say here is Please AVOID THEM.

Awful service, careless stuff. All they care about is to steal your money. Didn't warn me that I needed a Schengen visa to make 2 stops in Europe. Yes, they can claim that all visa issues are the responsibility of the customers. But I'm not going to travel around this country, OK? I'm just buying a ticket from the point "A" to the point "B". Isn't it your responsibility to mention it on your website? Or all you care about is to sell me the flights?! At the airport I was told that they have no rights to do that without warning a passenger! When I tried to call them and get some help, they kept telling me that they are "working" on my case, and sending emails to the airline company. They couldn't even call to the airline company because "didn't know the number". They never called me back, never emailed me back never updated me as promised, unless I called them. When I get tired, I called the airline company myself- surprisingly, I immediately found the phone number just by googling it! Unfortunately, it was already too late, and I just lost the time waiting until the FareDeport to receive a reply from the airline company via email. I should have done that much earlier, instead of trying to get help from the FareDepot. The airline company told me, that if I called them immediately, they could put me on the another flight. Unfortunately it was possible only before the departure of the flight I booked initially. However for 3 hours before my scheduled flight departure I was contacting my travel "professionals" - the FareDeport stuff. In summary, absolutely unprofessional, rude, helpless, lazy, careless stuff, hungry for your money!
If you are aiming at cost-efficient and budget-travel round the globe, book your tickets for faredepot. It’s the best place.
They cancelled my booking without notification. Thankfully, this was before the charge appeared on my end. Avoid at all cost.
I have booked a flight from SFO to KUL, Dec 31 few minutes ago. But the website didnt state whether i booked successfully. You know nothing even after you paid. This raises my concern whether it is scam.

It remind me of booking another flight via ExploreTrip, and fortunately, I success to cancel the booking, and do not submit the form as well, and my money not gone! Whenever I wanted to purchase tickets within by budget range I can safely count on FareDepot.com. The website offers me the best deals every time.
DON'T USE FAREDEPOT! 10 months in advance, I booked a direct flight with Faredepot. 11 days before the flight, I checked the flight status with Faredepot, and everything was as originally planned. 3 days before the flight (while I was already on vacation) I checked directly with the airline on the flight status. The airline informed me that the flight had been canceled over 6 months earlier, and I had been moved to a different flight itinerary that departed an hour earlier, and had a connection. Faredepot refused to acknowledge their error in neglecting to inform me about this major change to my flight, or the fact that had I not checked with the airline, I likely would have missed my flight. After having to rearrange plans to take the alternate flight, I tried to resolve the issue with Faredepot, to which they informed me in e-mail that it is their policy that they are not responsible for informing passengers about ANY changes that may have occurred to a flight schedule, and that it is the customer's responsibility to check on their flight status within 72 hours of the flight. Basically, if you book with Faredepot and there is a change to the flight itinerary, don't expect them to tell you about it, and hope that when you call the airline 72 hours before the flight that there haven't been any major changes.
Horrible experience with their customer service. I needed to change my flight dates or cancel it depending on the costs for the dates I was looking into due to a medical appointment falling in my flight duration, they would ignore my requests for the dates I requested THREE TIMES. It took three emails referencing the dates requested before they would get me cost estimates for the dates. And even despite that, they still only got me the cost estimate for 2 out of 3 dates. Additionally, they would say that they had contacted me over the phone to discuss options when this never happened. NOR did they even have a phone number to contact me on file. They are the most unprofessional travel agency I have ever dealt with. In the end, I could not even cancel my flights since the costs difference for the dates they provided was ridiculously over budget (an additional $1200-$2200) I requested to cancel (my flight is in Apr 2018). And despite this request being sent starting from end of Jan 2018 and going into Feb 9,2018 (that's how long this whole process has taken). They told me the airline flights are non-refundable... despite how on the airline cancellation policy, it said that any flights cancelled in that timeframe should be refundable... JUST A HORRIBLE COMPANY. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. COMPLETELY RIPPED ME OFF. I WILL NEVER BE USING THEM AGAIN AND WILL BE TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Wow. WOW. We bought flights to Buenos Aires back in January for this June, and when we went to the airport the flight had left five hours earlier! We were never informed! The airline told us it was because the company we bought through, FAREDEPOT, never informed us of the change. On the website under our booking, it still shows the incorrect flight time. When I called to talk to customer service, I was told that they could only refund us with a gift card to Fare Depot, which I, of course, became very irritated about, as we want a refund of the original payment since this was their mistake. The customer service representative became belligerent when I wasn't a "good little girl" on the phone. He was unable and unwilling to deal with my frustration over the situation, and threatened to cancel my booking, and told me he was going to cut the call. I asked to speak to a manager, he refused. He told me they were all busy and hung up on me. NEVER USE THIS PIECE OF CRAP COMPANY, unless you like having a headache, a canceled flight, and an empty wallet.

Answer: Don't think you can select your seat through Fare Depot. You have to work directly with the airline for that.
