ASOS is a UK-based online fashion retailer founded in 2000, originally as As Seen On Screen. Headquartered in an iconic art deco building in Camden, London, it offers a wide range of clothing, accessories, and beauty products, targeting young adults globally. ASOS has a strong presence in the online retail market and emphasizes sustainability through initiatives like the ASOS Responsible Edit.
ASOS has a rating of 1.6 stars from 2,061 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with ASOS most frequently mention customer service, post office and next day. ASOS ranks 377th among General Apparel sites.
I was wary about ordering here after reading the reviews however everything went well. The items are of good quality. The delivery took a week longer than initially estimated but the customer service was great and explained the cause of the delay and the date of arrival. Overall a good experience.
I order couple of the staff with them, 1st thing i had to wait more then my time line, then all in a sudden i had to go pick my staff from the post office and they said i gotta pay for customers and guess how much it is for order of $167 i had to pay $70 bucks customs charge then when when i told them about this asos said these charges r not on there hand, anyway i paid it and bring the staff home, when I opened it i saw its wrong size instead of large its xl and i asked them about the return policy they said i gotta pay for it but they refund me the money back, so ipaid $22 for the return, like a month and ten days ago. Still didn't received the refund of the product or the shipping money, these guys r bunch of crooks, playing with our money online and their customer service suck all buch of automatic computer systems no phone contact or anything
Paid for express shipping? Don't expect it next day. I had a shipment stolen as well and they won't replace it even though the items are in stock they said "we couldn't find your items." I had to go through an reorder everything. I asked them to use USPS but they continue to use Lasership which is a god awful courier. They ended my chat with a rep when I stated I would like them to add a note to leave inside and not on porch. Very very terrible company.
ASOS customer service is insufficient. I haven't received my order Customer service rep. Domicio instead to help me —just stop communication, basically saying he doesn't know what happened to the order It was incompetent and rude. Will not buy from ASOS any more. Julia K
Useless. In breach of contract and say they can't do anything for another 3 days. They're already 2 days late - you'd think they would want to do something about that but apparently they don't care. Meanwhile, over £400 of my belongings are sat somewhere in Wembley according to my tracking information with no explanation! So either ASOS think it's ok for couriers to steal people's orders, or they think it's ok for couriers to do whatever they like with your stuff for 4-5 days before they actually give you your order! Either one... ridiculous!
I've never experienced such a hassle for online purchases. First-order and didn't receive my package, when contacted customer service noted that the delivery address number and zip code was typed incorrectly and they told me that it is my responsibility to retrieve the package at the wrong address. No refund, no resend after multiple emails requesting that (1 month of back and forth). Waste of money and time. Stay away from them.
I ordered from ASOS quite a few times as I love all the brands they carry and they sometimes have great deals. However, the customs charges for each order didn't make the orders worth it for me. It was a hit or miss before but now 100 percent of orders will have massive charges on them. If you need to return it's expensive and if you have an issue with your order contacting customer service is an absolute nightmare! It's only worth it if you're from the UK.
Edit: they've changed some rules so now I believe you're able to order up to 120 dollars worth of items without custom charges! Yaaaay!
Been a month since I placed my order and still NEVER received it. The online tracking says the order was delivered when I was not home. No calls/notes left - how am I supposed to know how/where the order was left? Attempts to contact Customer Service on six separate times all to no avail. Same thing's been repeated over and over, 'we'll get in touch within 12 days'. I've shopped with many others but this never happened. You, ASOS, have the information you need: contact details, etc. You could've contacted when my order reached and I wasn't home. You could've done better. An absolute terrible experience. Beyond disappointing!
I ended up purchasing a ton of clothes from ASOS, unbeknownst to me, when it was shipped, I had to pay exorbitant customs fees at the post office.
That left a sour taste in my mouth, but I was excited to try the clothes. That excitement faded when most the clothes was low quality and one artifact was basically ripped.
I proceeded to file a return and that resulted in me once again payed over $20 just to have it shipped back. The return would've been greater than the custom fees so I figured it would be alright.
Except I never received my refund! Essentially, I paid for clothes, paid almost $30 at customs, then paid another $20 to have it shipped back and they kept the $100 worth of clothes and my refund!
They basically robbed me. Awful company. I'm still in disbelief. Please avoid.
Best clothing collection I have ever seen. They have so many quality clothes and every month I cannot help from buying something. They always send the order the next day and I receive it in less than 10 days intact. I also love when they send newsletter with promo codes.
I'd never ordered from them before so I ordered one thing to see how their sizing was. They have a Canadian site so I didn't think anything would be wonky but their shipping is expensive af, $15 base on a $30 item and then it came with a $25 C. O. D. Which Canada Post confirmed to me wasn't a tax or duty charge. They didn't know what the charge was for because it was written in by the company. I tried to contact their customer service but the only working options were through facebook or twitter which is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in customer service, especially when they asked for my email and order number over twitter "because they value they customer's privacy and security". Oh and they charge you a $25 fee for returns from Canada...
The whole company's a mess, I won't be ordering from them again and neither should you.
Communication 0, they don't care about customers, I never received a notification about my package, it was in postal office for more than a week, was charged COD for unknown reason not even postal office could explain for what! I don't recommend this place
I ordered 3 dresses from this pathetic website, I paid extra 25bucks for it to be delivered early.
So 1- the clothes never came on the said date. My birthdays gone and I still haven't received any update
2- I sent them emails but they do not reply.
So guys plz do not waste your money on this site and if possible get this site shut. They're fooling everyone.
Asos is one of my favorite retailer stores. Since you can not see the dresses physically you can not know how the clothing item is like. I do most of my cloth shopping online and almost return %50 of my purchases. The good thing with asos is that in addition to free shipping, you don't pay anything also for returns.
I have been ordering from ASOS for years. I had one problem with a shipment and they quickly refunded me. I found out that sometimes the packages get flagged by customs and it wont make it. Other than that I love them. I order from them all the time and usually sent half of the stuff back with no problems.
Didn't receive 4 of my ordered items and by the time everything was sorted out, 2 had gone out of stock. Not a huge deal honestly, but I did ask for a discount on a future order for the inconvenience. Again, it honestly wasn't a big deal for me, but as a regular customer, I wanted to see the level of customer care offered, especially after such a mistake on their part. Such remedial discounts are quite common in retail, so I was surprised when they adamantly refused me one. I enjoy the large selection, but customer care has been disappointing thus far.
Asos is using Hermes as delivery company. H doe not have phone number or address to pick up your own parcel in the event that you miss your parcel. I am never at home because I work in the mornings. I called ASOS and explain this case and asked them to use other Currier or deliver evenings, They then suggested that I could get a return, Period.
No help whatsoever for me to get their items. They did not care about finding the way to send it to me and instead. They would prefer not to sell me but keep on supporting and using Hermes as courier. I am gosmacked
I advise people from Canada not to order with them, they advertise free shipping and easy returns but will charge you for shipping plus charges upon receiving the order from Canada Post and if item is damaged or faulty, they will definitely charge you for shipping back items. Avoid at all costs. Worst customer care and worst after sales policies.
I bought a size 32H swimsuit top from mercari thst is ASOS brand and it holds absolutely nothing. A few jumps and everything spilled out the middle of the top. Designing a swimsuit for people with bigger chests means they require more coverage and support. I go to the beach or water park to do cannon balls, slide down slides, and have fun. Unless i were sun tanning completely still, this top is useless.
Don't buy from them! Took them more then an hour to answer one question they could have been answer within 5 mins!
Waste of time and useless! The person first chat with me then left the chat and when I reconnected made me wait for another 40 mins! No joking! 40 mins to send me term and condition! So ridiculous!
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
