After discovering Amazon Prime, my days of brick and mortar shopping are over! The nest part is loading items into cart, and picking them up at my door...
When prime initially started it was wonderful that you could order things with free shipping and receive whatever you order within 2 days. Not only have they raised the prices for prime, now it takes at least a week to receive your orders, and they don't care how they deliver them to us(broken, spilled, torn, not at all, etc.). And customer representative are no help because they don't care. Calling about shipping too many times will get your items delayed even longer, WITH PRIME. AND I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR OVER 7 YEARS.
Best way to get items fast and with free shipping. If I need something and it's on amazon prime, I won't buy it from anywhere else. The membership fee is very reasonable too so this is a win win.
Very greedy. Ads now appearing on content. I have to pay £2.99 a month to remove these. Do you not already make enough? Pay more tax, Amazon.
Sticks to its name! Such a prime service and relatively fast! I recommend getting Amazon prime especially if you're an online shopper! It's worth every penny!
There is a lot of great things to be said for Amazon Prime, but it should be told they have their own issues. In Sept, 2022, due to a technical issue (their words, not mine), my public account was reset and I lost all the hundreds of reviews I had posted. My influence rating dropped to zero (1,000 is zero). I have spent countless hours in their chat and on the phone speaking with everyone I possibly can to get the issue corrected. I get the SAME story everytime. "This issue needs to be taken up with Community-Help" The problem with that is, I'm not convinced that email is even monitored! Out of my 10 emails, only one ever was responded, and it was clear by the reply it was auto populated as it had zero relevance to my issue. Shame on Amazon, not for having a technical issue, (crap happens), but for not stepping up to the plate and addressing it. Some might question why some much concern is placed on reviews, and for those I would advise, I USED to get around $100-200 per month in gift cards, credits, discounts from sellers after leaving reviews, just depends on how big an influencer they see you. Now, obviously, I'm not even in consideration for the perks.
This apparently happens more frequently than not according to the ring camera community forum in our neighborhood. We had just moved to this address and I hadn't gotten around to fixing the Ring door camera yet. Amazon says our package was delivered and based that conclusion on a photo of the package by our front door but there was no package and the doorbell never rang. We were home all day that day and no one rang the doorbell. We contacted customer service twice on two consecutive days only to be given the runaround of faq's or chatting with a bot. Finally when we got to speak to a live agent were given the "our policy says" dry reply with a very pompous attitude by a manager called Jane who asked us to go through a loophole of items such as obtaining a police report, the officer's badge number, his name and a list of other items some requiring us to go down to the police station to get. What I found appalling here is that the victim is given the burden of proof and asked to do their investigation for them instead of being understanding and appreciative of the past 15 years plus of patronage. That item was meant as a birthday gift for my dad which came and went without it. Shame on you Amazon Prime..
There's a couple of time that my merchandise takes more than 2 days shipping. Last month I purchased a serving plate, it was on prime. It took almost 2 weeks for them to deliver my purchase.
I've been an Amazon Prime member for over a year now and I must say if you buy from Amazon often, it's worth the $99 fee to be a prime member. If you're a student, they offer you a free 6 month trial and after 6 months, you only pay $49. It will charge your card automatically. They send you emails keeping you updated on when they will charge your card. Should it charge your card and you decide you didn't want it renewed, you have up to 10 days to get a refund as long as you don't use the Prime benefits. Which isn't standard with most online memberships.
The free 2 day shipping saves a bunch of time and the $3.99 one day shipping came in handy for last minute Christmas gifts.
The instant streaming for prime members is not something that I didn't use often. Once I did stream a video and it was of poor quality so I didn't get to watch it, however Amazon promptly offered me a refund without even asking.
Amazon has great customer service and they quickly try to resolve any issue that you may have. If you purchase often from Amazon.com then the prime membership is definitely worth your while.
Always on time, if you need to return an item, very simple process. Lots of items to choose from. Groceries, makeup, car accessories, home products, the list goes on and on.
Amazon Prime is amazing. For just 14$ a month, you get free shipping on great products, a rotating selection of thousands free magazines & books on Kindle, a rotating selection of millions of movies in every language. And Amazon has lots of decent-paying jobs even if you are unskilled, signing bonuses, no drug-testing for weeds, no vaccine mandates, and Amazon is currently the most powerful advocate in the fight for Federal weeds legalization. Hating Amazon has become fashionable among young Communists & Fascists, but really, WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT AMAZON PRIME? I love it.
Many times my orders are never delivered by the date I see when I originally placed the order. Once you place the order that date just seems to disappear so you really need to save that page for future reference. Going to Amazon.com to write a review about them, not a vendor, as this was fulfilled by them is another process of trying to get to the correct area. My last order I did do a vendor review and they (Amazon) edited my review and said they take full responsibility of the item as it was sold by them. Ok then take full responsibility. Lets start by contacting me and giving me options for your screw-up. I know this isn't going to happen so that's why I'm putting this review out. I'm just getting tired of Amazon missing delivery dates more than hitting them and there really isn't anything you can do about it. I'm thinking of not renewing my membership and looking for someone else.
I cancelled my subscription months ago and will not ever be renewing! You can still get "free" shipping for orders over $35 so if I really need something and can't find it on eBay or Walmart.com, etc. I just put it in the shopping cart and then checkout once I hit $35. This does not happen very often as eBay is a good place to look and almost always I get "free" shipping.
Amazon has everything, it seems. I buy ebooks and magazines for my kindle and I send books to friends. Recommended! Also international deliveries work well.
I had been a long time customer of Amazon Prime. I discontinued my membership about 4 months ago because very inconsistent shipping and policies to rectify the situation. I was given a 30 fay free trial to try it once again, which I did. I gave them a chance and ordered dog food for my puppy. It said it would be delivered by Friday/Saturday, as I ordered it on Tuesday. They charged my card which I only use a pre-paid card with them and only add enough to pay for the order in the event that what happened happens. They charged the card successfully on the date the order was placed, but it did not ship. They then attempted to make 3 more attempts at taking the same charged amount again all three times where of course, it was not available. When I contacted customer service, they could only say they had not charged my card where I was looking at the charge which was today on 6.18.2023 still pending and will not be removed until they finalize a charge they claim they never made. And the CS rep, had the audacity to tell me "don't worry, we are not trying to keep your money." I will not be using them at all. They have become CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT and it is unacceptable. Very few packages actually come overnight anymore, which was the main attraction for Prime in the beginning. All you get is a message stating your delivery is going to be delayed, if they even plan to send it.
I HAVE Been with Amazon /prime for many many YEARS.Now I am terminally ill and I am a widow. I purchased lights yesterday I received them they were damaged I want to replacement I told them I would have the damage lights all packaged up waiting for them when they dropped off the new lights and they told me I would have to pay $7.49 in order for them to pick up the damaged lights! They have to come here anyway their hands are not broken they can pick up the other package it's very light and bring that back to their warehouse why do I pay a membership this is absolutely appalling and disgusting this is how they keep getting richer and richer again what do I pay a membership for
I am homebound due to Multiple Sclerosis, so I do most of my shopping on line. Though Amazon doesn't always have the best pricing, they are reliable and if I need something fast, I can rely on Amazon for almost anything I need.
It use to be you got your packages in 1 to two days. Now its 5 days or more - with many 'delivery exceptions'. Walmart is quicker. I am no longer sure its worth its price and looking at it.
I have gotten so many great deals and the service is amazing. Fast shipping. Quality products that are guaranteed. All the good things about ebay and none of the bad.
One main reason I have a prime membership and order everything from laundry detergent to leather opera length gloves is the, former, ease of returns AND quick refunds, but no more.
If your a frequent shopper, you know that after you request a return you have the choice of using a QR code that is scanned when you return at a UPS store, and most returns are free. If you chose a credit to your Amazon account it would be credited as soon as the item was scanned. No more. It took me three weeks, four phone calls and some yelling to find out that it will not show up as credit on your Amazon account until 7 days AFTER they receive it, and it's even longer for a refund to your form of payment. I sent items back two weeks ago. They were just received today, now I have to wait seven more days for credit to be available on my Amazon account! Not to mention I was told I would be emailed with an update 5 days ago, nothing. This is a huge policy change that I do not appreciate or the lack of understanding and customer service, which is usually excellent. Used to live, love, love Amazon prime. Now, not so much AT ALL. Will be cutting WAY back on purchases including clothes, shoes, cleaning supplies, beauty products, furniture, pet supplies, electronics, and more
I find it very easy to compare items with vary Amazon has. Also, I can find usually items. The two day deliver is great but I have found only time less its are Prime.
Answer: Probably because Amazon Prime would rather be straight forward with their customers and ensure they get their customers' questions answered to the absolute best of their ability to avoid any sort of confusion using chatbots, and/or a most likely VERY busy email address that very few people probably have access to via their site. I have actually never heard nor seen anybody complain about authenticity, or live chat, or phone call where you can get your question or questions answered much faster, vs. waiting for and possibly potentially even missing their reply email because you would have to be sitting around waiting on an email reply, for however long that'd take. Trust me, if you really want your question(s) answered, this would by far be the best option. There is even an app and/or extension you can use called "Amazon Assistant" That feature normally gets any and all issues solved, and FAST! I hope this helps! :)
Answer: Click on the left-hand corner, then go to books and audible, then to prime reading. There is a selection of books that can be read for free
Answer: Call the Amazon phone number listed under contact us.
