A HUGE waste of money! Do not buy! I received the same info. Where I was told it would be month to month and then suddenly I'm signed into a 3 month contract. When I tried to dispute it, costumer service told me that I signed a contract, but I never did. They keep charging you for late fees so you eventually have to pay it. Throughout my three month 'contract', my business received 1 spam e-mail. In total we paid $300 for nothing! It was also misleading because when they first contacted us, they were so warm and friendly and 'there' for you, but once we signed up, they never called us again and trying to get them on the phone was impossible. BEWARE! You are only wasting your money!
Just as everyone else has said, useless waist of money. Only calls I get from them is telemarketers. Once they had my money, no emails returned, any images I asked them to add, never got done, could never get my dashboard to work. Nothing worked as promised. I'm sure cancelling will also be a nightmare.

They are such a big scammers who steal money out of small businesses pockets without giving them any results. Their sales department responds so efficiently that you believe they are great and quick respondents but when you have any issue then they are the worse company I dealt with so far. They promised enough client base to my business to cover my costs but I did not get even a single call through their page. Now I am struggling to get my money back from last 3 month but no one is responding. They even did not respond to BBB. I am planning to take a legal advise as I can not afford to pay them around $7,000 for three years to list my business on their page.
They call themselves 'Leading Canadian digital company' but I tried multiple times on their website to get a digital bill with no success. Sent them a written request with my bill payment to cancel the service back in September no response. Then after a few phone calls in which I was cut off, they tell me I can't cancel because 'the book' is published. We are in Northern Alberta and have not recieved 'the book' for years, if there even is one. They are pretending that their service is mainly 'the book' when you try to cancel, then why call yourself 'Leading Canadian digital company'
DO NOT sign up for any listing or marketing with this company EVER!
Simply read the reviews on this site to get a clearer picture on why this is.
It will take many years and 100s of efforts from you to sever any ties with Yellowpages.ca once they sign you up. This is NO JOKE! They will do nothing to improve your internet ranking and no customers will come to you because of your listing or Virtual Profile. Paper and print is also dead so being in their book is a waste. Pointless service that will not yield results for your business.
I hope that this review will prevent at least few people from being sucked into their SCAM enterprise.
Warn everyone!
This company is a pure scam. I was tricked into going one year and then after I paid the final bill, I randomly got a bill 5 months later. And then for the first time ever, three days in a row on hold for hours. They do not want to even discuss. This is a criminal enterprise.
They sell you the service and don't provide you with the proper advertisement. They charge your credit card every month regardless of you dissatisfaction. They have horrible customer service. The staff turnout is so poor that each agent I get on the phone ends up leaving the company. The original lady that helped me is a scammer as well. They make you promises that your advertisement will be at the top google searches meanwhile mine is now 3rd on the list. Emails bounce back and nobody will put you in contact with a supervisor. Horrible horrible services and a scam no doubt!
They automatically renew your contract, force to pay even when you cancel it.
I m small business owner and done one year contact, never for any business from them instead of paying even when I canceled the service
I wanted to cancel as my listing was not what I wanted in the first place. Their google ranking is awful, there is not point NO ONE will find you on yellow pages. They will fill your head with lies, they are good at sales to get you hooked and that is it.
They AUTO renewed you without property disclosing anything. I refuse to pay past the point I wanted to cancel and they call me daily, to the point of harassment!
SONIA never returns emails so unprofessional. SHARE the word I do a networking group and so many people have had the same experience. They uses to be good 10 years ago, They should go back to printing phone-books. Call Google Ad Words instead that is worth the money!
They are terrible! They rope you in over the phone then when you decide you need to cancel because it's costing your small business way to much they tell you,
You can't and that it's a one year contact! Are you kidding me? They put information that I did not want online right on to my said ad. And they start sending you bills and calling you about it straight away. I'm sick of there crap and want out. Don't get fooled by the people over the phone. Just say no. There are WAAAAY better and cheaper ways to advertise.
So they made me say "yes, I agree" it was suppose to be a 3 months trial and ended up being a full year verbal contract? Never received a contract by email. They said it will be monthly payments, I never provided my credit card number. I never received an invoice. After a year and half, they called me and tried collecting. Where are my invoices, where's my written contract? Apparently they tried sending the invoices by email but were not going through. They try talking you through a contract when you're busy at work and not focused 100% on the conversation.
I was going to sign up for their services but ended up not doing it. They were supposed to send me a contract by email. I never received it. Never heard from them and got a bill by email 4 months later for hundreds of dollars. They then started calling me daily to harass me and then whenever I would try to explain the situation they'd hang up on me.
They have done absolutely nothing for me. They haven't sent me one customer and now they're telling me I owe them thousands of dollars. Over my dead body.
It is no exaggeration to say that Yellow Pages is scamming people. Read all the reviews, they're actually accurate. You can't cancel your account, at least, not without paying for many months after you finally mange to get someone to cancel the account. I'm into for $1,000's with these guys.
If anyone reading this is interested in taking them to court, please get in touch.
Yellow Pages has been sending Bills under a cancelled account. They do not return e-mails, including the management contact, previously given. I have been trying to resolve this for 5 months -- no answer just more bills to a previous business, through Bell. Bell refuses to cancel the auto charges and says you have to do it through Yellow Pages, but Yellow Pages will not respond.
I hired Yellow Pages to manage my Google Ads. For several reasons I was dissatisfied with their service and decided to learn how and do it on my own. I asked YP months in advance when my obligations were over with them and the customer service said July. I called in August to cancel my service.
YP claimed I was now on another year-long contract! I had of course not been told about any such thing, let alone signed for it. It was absurd - who has ever heard of such a thing? I said, "Absolutely not. I was 100% not notified that I was under any such obligation." But when it comes down to it, they will give your info to a debt collection agency, which ruins your credit rating. They have all the power.
He "let me" cancel with 3 months notice. Which again, is completely absurd. They're crooks. Do not deal with them. They just simply don't operate under any kind of normal business policies.

Fear uncertainty and doubt is their tactics. Terrible customer service. Watch out for the contract, after you realize you've been had, and it doesn't perform, generate business or increase your exposure on the net, no way of getting out of it. Check out the better business bureau. They will worn you of their shady business practices. Save your money and use a good it company to manage your analytics and business on the internet. Wpulfd give less then one star but have to to get review posted.
They can lock you into a contract with only a verbal "OK" over the phone but you will need a legal team to get out. They will continue to automatically renew you and come up with excuses why you cant get out of your contract. "you didn't give us enough notice", "you need to notify us in writing", " only your account rep, who never responds to voicemails or emails, can access your account info", etc. They will tell you on the phone that you are "protected" when it comes to results from your campaign but the fine print clearly indicates they guarantee nothing. I had three phone calls in the first year and none in the second, and for $300 a month i lost money on this. Definitely avoid! There are better ways to spend your advertising dollars.
I've been down this road twice with yellow pages and their sales reps
Claim that they have a ridiculous amount of traffic being referred but
My google
Analytics and my client forms asking how you heard of us say the
Opposite. The kick in the pants is that I called in and ended my
Contract and they keep billing me. I called in again never got anyone,
Emailed and they still keep billing. I had to eventually call visa.

Did not deliver what they promised and even mispelled the company name on advertising. DO NOT deal with this company. Just read this review. Canadian businesses blast Yellow Pages' ad practices:

Been paying monthly listing for years, when I decided to stop they said I had a yearly contract that expired in 9 months from now. I never signed any contract with them and have been paying them monthly for 10+ years. I told them I was done with them and to remove my listing. They said no and continued billing me monthly + $25 fee for monthly non payment + interest. Stay away from these scam artists. Does anyone know how to get them off my back?

Answer: They also posted my personal information to their site without permission. I recommend reporting them to Canada's Anti-spam regulatory body. You can report them here: https://www.fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S
Answer: My son in high school was harassed by a telemarketer and said no. He created an IT website in HS for a class. Two months later I got an invoice for $57 month. I told them my son has a Communication Learning Disability, a Medical Disability and is being treated for PTSD. They refused to help. I will go to BBB and ask my lawyer. My son should have hung up but they coerced him and he was too young and naive to know better. Shame on them!
