These guys are now sending our business a $30 monthly bill claiming they were previously affiliated with the Telus bills and their "services" were authorized by someone who worked here for another business 4 yrs ago. I said we would not pay it and she said we needed to notify them 3 months prior to their printing and online posting. Total garbage, plus they had previously been calling the office constantly, asking for information. This should be illegal.
The YellowPages manager refused to waive the 3 month cancellation period even though all of their staff (from every level going up to manager) admitted to not notifying of the automatic renewals. They lie and their service is garbage. We only got an ESTIMATED (Yellowpages own words, not guaranteed) 0-2 calls per month for the entire contract with them. They promised ads on google and that never happened. The ads were on their own site. They also said they were the only google ad partner in Canada. That is an out right lie! They can't be trusted.
They are professional Liars, they tell you everything they said they would do for you to sign up with their non disclosure contract. I pay a lot of money to advertise but there is no results, they will not cancel our contract they just keep collecting our money. What a Scam! Dishonest and Downright EVIL company.
Don't waste your time these people are stunned.
Listed my business with incorrect name for weeks, the digital marketing campaign was left 64% complete... I paid 100%!
They should just give up and accept failure instead of ripping others off with their sht services
I manage my own google my business yet I still pay them to not Manage my gmb wasted money shame on me
I've been a customer of Yellow Pages for 18 - 19 years. Tried to cancel my Media advertising because I've noticed that they are not the first or even fourth listing on any web browser. I pay $62.00 month for nothing... have to wait for 10 months while they collect $620.00 of my hard earned money. I understand this is my fault for not cancelling sooner, I guess I have a contract that renews without a signature, but let's get real here, who even picks up a paper copy of the Yellow Pages, do they even exit, I haven't seen one for years... it's all online and Yellow Pages is, like my title says, Archaic - no longer relevant... If you have a good website, and now with Googles help, a search will bring you to the 1st page easily without YellowPages help. Sadly disappointed! Live and Learn... make sure you cancel early with these people, they are highway robbers, LOL!
Just do yourself a favour. Check BBB about this company before you say *yes* or *okey* over a phone with them... otherwise you will end up with auto-renew every 12 months contract payment...
I wish was -5 here!
They gave false claims to service that only Google ad words can provide. They would not cancel my account. Never deal with Yellow pages as they will trap you in a contract that does absolutely nothing for your business. It's amazing that a high school student can be scammed and they just get away with it. Avoid them at all costs. If I could rate 0 stars I would
I moved about 4 years ago and because I stopped paying for there ad, they wouldn't update my location of my business... It's stupid because they think this pressures ppl into paying, when really it causes them to become obsolete. Noone can trust information that isn't updated... Yellowpages needs to get their sh*7 together.
This company is a $#*! show I've called about 10 different number and they all go to the same guy voicemail, I haven't got any response, when I signed up they told me I can make changes anytime that's a lie this is the worst company ever wish I reed these reviews before signing up. These people sound like such good people when your first signing up. There a bunch of crooks do not use them. The government need to look into this company. At this point I'm gonna have to get a lawyer to deal with them. Times have been hard and I haven't even received one call or message from my ad with yp.
This company and their services are an absolute scam. They are no better then the people calling from overseas claiming they are the CRA or immigration services and demanding you pay them money.
They lied to me about the service and its benefits and said I could cancel if I was unhappy. Then they refused to let me cancel. Took me to collections for $3500 and got them to settle for $2000 and they said I would never be able to do business with them again.
This was all two months ago. I just received another $500 invoice from these scammers and I cant even log into my "business account" to see why. Customer services wont answer and nether will the agency that took me to collections the first time.
No matter how big your business is, stay away from YP. Their agenda is to lock you in a voice agreement BEFORE you will read and understand that you will not be able to escape from a contract for the following year. Cooling period to change your mind is 24 hours (why not 30 seconds thou?). If you miss that window prepare your wallet. If you realize you don't need their service or, their service is not working the way you're expecting from them - good luck to terminate your contract. They just want your money and will continue to bill you.
Unfair business practices at their best.
This company has F rating with Better Business Bureau (BBB) Canada. Wish I did my homework before even speaking nicely to their salesperson.
Beware fellow Canadian businessman.
Don't ever use Air Cab in Moncton, NB! Their driver's are scam artists! Trying to fake accidents to get you to give them money! One of their Syrian driver's said we hit his car when we did not! Police were called and told him it is illegal to make false insurance claims! He threatened us and blocked our vehicle in while he was parked illegally! Air Cab did nothing about this!
They tell you: try it for 1 year...
And after this year they just continue to take your money from the Credit card!
O! Yes! Who did know that I have to cancel the contract...
So now I have to pay ONE MORE YEAR for nothing!
Did not get from them any clients!
And 2 hours waiting on telephone for the customer service which did not help!
Dealt with this company for many years. They contracted my company in on advertising without my consent. After I successfully cancelled my business through the company with pushy sales people trying to re-establish my business and verified it was cancelled, they still tried to come to me saying I owed money. Please do not deal with this company. Or if you do, be prepared to have to deal with problems.
I'm scared to give them my credit card as they may take money from me again as they did prior.
We found that YP allows anyone to besmirch a business even if that person has never been in the business, bought anything or had any service done. Someone we never met went on our business site and made a derogatory insulting comment and when we got in touch with YP, we received an arrogant answer to the effect that they don't really care. Yellow Pages claimed that they have ""Integrity of ratings on the YP review platform". So,... allowing total strangers venting personal grudges and general anger on our business YP website, which has nothing to do with "Review" is "Integrity"? Stay away from YP... we'll not renew our ad... YP sucks.

It doesn't matter if its their business portal in English or in French-it is plain lousy. Slower than molasses in winter would say my grandmother! It makes it very difficult and irritating to consult or to pay a bill. Not impressed.
Yellow Pages is a big scam, they keep on renewing our subscription even though they do not have our credit card on file or authorization from us to renew. We have tried to cancel it 10+ times just to be redirected to Client Retention team that still after 11 months somehow we end up getting bills from them. They say we have the right to charge you because it renews automatically (even though noone talked to them, signed anything or provided credit card in over 2 years!)
The clicks to our website from Yellow pages that they charged us $5k+ in the last few years? Less than 200. Bunch of crooks if you ask me..

Yellow Pages threatened to sue us for 4000 dollars + legal fees for a contract we not only never signed(an ex-manager without authority did so) but renewed it for the past FOUR years he has been gone without our consent and never contacted us about payments even though they had the company number until they wanted to sue us.
Avoid this company at all costs. We are not the first ones, you can find more stories of this by googling it.
The location in question was permanently closed but not listed as closed by yellowpages.ca After going there and finding it closed I tried to update with yp.ca so other people won't waste their time like I did, and after trying twice, both attempts were met with the error message "oops, something went wrong". Ya, something did go wrong, you aren't up to date and are un-updated-able. Brutal.
Our company credit card has expired and since 3-4 months I could not get a hold of Customer service to change it! They suggest in their follow-up accounting email to pay on the website - and it doesn't even work... Most of the time it says Error while blablabla contact us and then goes the never ending wheel...

Answer: Hire a lawyer. They are scam artists... trust me. Stay far away from this company

Answer: They also posted my personal information to their site without permission. I recommend reporting them to Canada's Anti-spam regulatory body. You can report them here: https://www.fightspam.gc.ca/eic/site/030.nsf/frm-eng/MMCN-9EZV6S
Answer: My son in high school was harassed by a telemarketer and said no. He created an IT website in HS for a class. Two months later I got an invoice for $57 month. I told them my son has a Communication Learning Disability, a Medical Disability and is being treated for PTSD. They refused to help. I will go to BBB and ask my lawyer. My son should have hung up but they coerced him and he was too young and naive to know better. Shame on them!
