I have booked my ticket and never got the e-ticket in mailbox but money got deducted.

Avoid at all costs!

Travelgenio will always give you the best price possible. At least at first glance. That's how they will always be on top (first choice) on websites like Skyscanner and others. But when you get redirected to the website, the price will change. When you select your card (Visa for example) they will add a random fee to it (I say random because it's always different, depending on when you do it, from which device etc.) and when you finally pay more often than not it will charge you even more.

When you get screwed over and want to contact support for the issue and possibly a refund you will get the worst possible customer support you can imagine.

Do yourself a favor, and buy it from a reputable website or directly through the airline company website even if (apparently) you pay a bit more. It will save you a lot of time and headache.

Travelgenio are scammers. I really do not advise booking with this company, they are liars and their customer service is a joke. Book directly with the airline, even if it costs a bit more.

I booked and paid for flights two months in advance via their German site, and the amount was taken from my credit card. I received instant confirmation via mail, and all was well.

Or so I thought until I turned up at the airport. The airline showed me that our names were in the system but no booking had ever been made for us. I called the Travelgenio USA customer support as I was in the USA then. I was told they werent able to book my tickets and had sent a cancellation email to me. They did not send a cancellation email to me, they did not call me and they certainly didnt refund me my money.

So there I am at the airport onto the rudest customer support person I ever came across and was basically told tough, nothing we can do about it. I asked for a copy of the cancellation email which was alledgedly sent. I havent yet got it, so as far as I am concerned, it doesnt exist and the company cannot back up their claim.

I finally got my refund after 3 months and numerous emails. I got no response to my emails, no rejected deliveries or other advice. I finally filled in a form via the webpage and got my refund.

So Travelgenio sat on my money for over 5 months, I spent an extra 700 euro because I had to book a flight at the airport. And no apology or explanation.

They are dishonest, please do not use them.

Waiting for my refund

I'm still waiting for my refund. My flight was cancelled and I called Travelgenio to help me schedule another flight. They said it was the weekend and were unable to help me. It's now the weekday and I have emailed them back for my refund since I did not use the ticket. They have since ignored my email. Travelgenio provides a generic reply to all these reviews but they will never help you. They have over a thousand negative reviews on multiple websites. I will make it my goal to let everyone know what a fraudulent company this is.

These people mislead, lie, deceive, and misrepresent literally everything about every aspect of their service.

Their people hardly speak any english, but okay, we can work around it no big deal. We had to edit the name of a passenger and they said they charged $50 to change it. Ok, fine. $50 here you go.

They then cancel it saying that they can't change the name, but are keeping the $50 as a fee for cancelling. (? Where's that written isn't that illegal?)

They refunded the ticket amount in Reals, but refunded an amount not consistent with the current exchange rate. Ended up being 5 cent difference per dollar. This equated to a 1000 REAL mistake on their part (~$200)

So they undid the refund, then charged an additional $200 without explanation. So they charge me $200 for their own error. (? Definitely illegal)

When we call back to get them to explain, fix, or refund their mistake they give attitude, hangup and continue to solidify their ROCK SOLID LEGACY of FRAUD, DECEIT AND LIES.

Please do yourself a favor and swim to your destination as you will most certainly have a better experience, than dealing with TravelGenio.

TravelGenio you are literally the worst travel agency in the world. GIVE ME MY MONEY

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I have had the worst experience with TravelGenio. 1 star is an over-reach for their service.

I have booked a ticket with them departing from Nice - Bucharest, for which I paid an amount of 113 euro. The confirmation came via 2 emails, where in both of the emails the reservation was deemed confirmed and the money were, of course, automatically withdrawn from my account.

Yesterday I tried to check into my flight - but adding my booking confirmation, it appeared that the confirmation number belonged to a trip for March 2020 to Madrid (In my confirmation email, all details were correct in terms of departure and arrival country and so on). I found it weird, but then again, I thought it was some sort of error. Arriving at the airport check in desk, the lady from the counter was not able to find my reservation. Upon further inquiries, apparently the booking was confirmed with travelgenio from my side, but travelgenio did not do the needful with the airline company - thus, no ticket for me.

What was recommended by the airline was to book a last minute ticket of 259 euro - since we had almost 15 minutes until flight time and I had no other choice than to pay the amount, expecting to solve the issue with Travelgenio directly later on. Big mistake.

I called travelgenio, and the ladies from the customer care team rudely put the blame on me: apparently the time of the flight has changed with 30 minutes, and I have received an email from them (I DO NOT have anything in my mail box and they DID have the right email address, because I received 2 emails from them with the confirmation number. I have also checked my spam - nothing there) where I should have confirmed the 30 minutes time change - and because I did not do that, they have cancelled my ticket WITH NO WARNING and of course, kept the money.

Also, they deny to refund me the 259 euro that I paid for the last minute ticket, saying that the blame is on me, and not them.

They said that they issue 1000 tickets per day - unnecessary detail. I do not care how busy you are, I have paid for a ticket and I expect to be able to consume the ticket - and they cannot call everyone when something changes. Again, I received no email about this, and I asked the lady from the agency to send me this email they sent me earlier this month, and I have received no email as such.

This is utterly repulsive and I am amazed how they are treating the customers.

This site is a scam. I tried booking 2 tickets with them, the site said the reservation couldn't go through because the flight was no longer available. So I booked with a different site, and 30 mins later I get an email from travelgenio saying the payment went through! I called 3 times immediately, and the line cut off after 5 mins each time (no answering machine, nothing). The next morning I call again, they said they'll charge 100 euros for the cancellation despite my explanations. They said I had to cancel earlier- I said I tried but no one answered- they said too bad. Horrible company

My husband bought a ticket through Travelgenio to fly to Moscow via Aeroflot airlines for April 11th, booking reference J254I13.
We have cancelled the ticket since my husband got sick and could not fly having a medical certificate indicating the reason for cancellation of the ticket.
From April until now we are in constant communication with Travelgenio, who refuse a refund stating that Aeroflot did not authorize the refund.
We contacted Aeroflot and opened a claim with them. After a month, we got a correspondence from the Aeroflot that a refund was sent to Travelgenio's bank account.
However, this Travel Agency is refusing to refund the money for unused ticket. They put us on hold for hours at a time, pretend that they don't speak English, and promise to send the money "in two days".
This is the worst company to deal with.
PLEASE, DON'[T BUY TICKETS FROM THEM! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!
We are still fighting with them to get our refund. They don't want to talk to us. If, by chance, we are able to reach them and talk to somebody, they promise to send the refund "in 48 hours", but five months have passed, and we still did not get the refund!
This a fraud company - don't deal with them!

This is a cheating website, try your best to avoid this agency completely! They charge 20 pounds only to try to help you book a check-in luggage, then you still need to pay the airline company for the check-in luggage if successful, otherwise you lost your 20 pounds for nothing! They never written explicitly on their website that this is just the fee for them to try to do you a favor! Their service fee for any potential favor is surprisingly high. If you complain, they sent combative emails and think they really somebody! Worst experience ever! Please learn this lesson - avoid this company completely!

We purchased two round trip tickets to Asia with them, and due to unforeseen circumstances, the airline had to change our itinerary which involved a 12+ hour layover which was simply infeasible. We called to request a cancellation and received email confirmation that said cancellation would be honored. Almost five months have elapsed since that confirmation, and we have not received a refund. We have called their customer service number numerous times, and have always received empty promises. Most recently, they said they were "escalating" our case to the dedicated support representative, and it's another empty promise. We have been defrauded almost $2,000 with no way to fight to get our money back. We don't even have the means to sue them in civil court, because the scamsters are located in Spain. Sometimes, they even pretend to not speak English when we call in order to avert our call. We are at such a loss, and it's an incredible financial burden. NEVER, EVER AGAIN.

Travelgenio desastre!

We bought a flight ticket and travel insurance package with travelgenio, we got the confirmation by email for the flight and insurance, for some reason they only charged the travel insurance, the day of the flight we were in the airport doing the check-in and surprisingly in the airport they told us that this reservation was canceled, it looks like travel genio does not charge us the flight so they cancel the reservation and we do not receive any cancellation notification! So we missed the flight and we have to buy another flight at the last minute! Dont buy with travel genio!

This agency gives an horrible service. First, I went to the airport to catch my flight to Tunisia with Royal Air Maroc. They tell me that there is a problem because the name on the plane ticket is not the same as the one on my passport (They actually just switched my last name with my name...)They tell me that I have to call my travel agency. Right away I call them. I explain the situation. They told me: we can't do nothing right now because it takes days to make a change on the plane ticket and it costs money. OK I want to pay, please do something, I am going to lose my flight (1250$) and the hotel I reserved ( 2000$). It took me months to save this money for this trip. I spent 2 hours trying to solve the problem with them, They were not able to help me. I lost my flight. I had to return home, I was deeply sad and frustrated. The day after called back to know if they could help me. The guy was arrogant, he told me it was my fault cause i did not check my ticket. I DID CHECK. But I couldnt know that there was a mistake, because it was my real name that was showing. Example: its written: Name of passenger: Fanie G... The mistake is that it should appear like this: G... Fanie. But its not showing surname/given name. So i couldnt know that it was reversed. Impossible. Its a good thing that I know a lawyer that wants to help me. Because to his point of view, they should give me a refund, or at least an amount for all of those problems. My vacations were ruined. When I was on the phone with them, both times, I asked to speak to a supervisor, and they would'nt let me. And there were no empathic at all. I will do EVERYTHING SO I CAN GET A REFUND.

In our terms and conditions it is also written http://us.travelgenio.com/pages/travelgenio-terms-and-conditions - MODIFICATIONS, CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND REISSUES: "Name changes of passengers are not allowed by airlines. Should you need to change names and surnames on your booking, you will have to cancel the completed booking and get a ticket refund (should your tariff allow it). For this reason, please pay special attention to the spelling of any passenger names and surnames while filling in your booking forms.". This conditions are also accepted during the purchase. If you need us to check it, do not hesitate in contacting us in customer.service@travelgenio.com. Regards

Never, Never Again

If there was an option to select 0 stars on the review I would do so. We have booked a flight for four in the amount of 1100 EUR. Just a few days before the long planned trip Travelgenio sent us a message that the had to cancel our return flight and could not provide us with an alternative. Leaving us with canceling the entire flight and booking it through another agency we are still waiting for our refund four months later. Their policy says it takes up to three months (already a ridiculous time for a refund which was caused by them), but only did they request the refund from the airline after three months. This leaves us with a further uncertain wait when and if we get this amount back.
The customer service is incompetent with bad English skills.
I recommend anyone NOT to book with them ever!

Inmiddels wacht ik al bijna 3 maanden op de vergoeding van de vlucht die door Travelgenio 16 uur voor vertrek (zonder opgaaf van reden) gecancelled was. Toen de vlucht was geanulleerd werd mij beloofd door dit bedrijf dat binnen 30 - 90 dagen mijn geld teruggestort zou worden, aangezien ik geen gebruik van hun diensten heb kunnen maken. Nog steeds niks ontvangen, maar ook geen email over de huidige status niks! Zojuist de klantenservice aan de telefoon gehad en die zeggen er niks aan te kunnen doen omdat de airline failliet is. Ook kunnen ze mij NIKS vertellen over wanneer ik mijn geld dan wel terug krijg en willen ze me niet op de hoogte houden van de status. Wat een slecht bedrijf! BOEK NIET VIA TRAVELGENIO, verschrikkelijke service!

I booked a ticket to Lisbon from Stuttgart and back in August. I wanted to change my return flight destination, from Stuttgart to Copenhagen. I was sure this was possible since i looked for flights, and I even called the flying company before that (TAP) to double check.
They said yes since I have business class on the way back and for an extra cost of 75 eur only, however i should call Travelgenio to do the Change.
The attendant was very irritated and didnt let me even finish my sentence, but saying "You didnt understand, they didnt even look at your reservation, you cant change". And so she did it again and again, and than told me to call TAP again "Thank you".
I got personally irritated and also turned off.
Will surely never book with them again.

Book tickets (2adults and 1 infant) with travelgenio on 21 June 2019 evening. Check with the related airlines, the ticket have not been issued and the time limit was 26 June 2019. Contacted them by email and phone twice, NO REPLY until 26 June!

They replied me by asking me send copy of my credit card and passport to verify my payment. I did it. Then they said (replied by Ms. Jessica) will send my etic in a few mins. Waiting 2.5hours no e tic and I sent another email, they replied me I need to pay extra AUD 270 to issued the tic or if not they will full refund my money.

Halooo, how come they said will send the etics in few mins, end up NOTHING!

And I just found out all the reviews, seems TRAVELGENIO use the same way to steal our money! Which is booked (our cc got charged), no ticket, we try to contact them no reply, then on the day time limit ticket is coming, they will contact you and say price have changed and you have to pay extra (if you are lucky enough they will full refund your money).

I am wondering how come this company can still operate! What a shamed of you!
