Absolutely no after sales service. Emails sent to customer service NEVER replied to. No phone numbers supplied. Eventually tracked down an international number in Spain. Took a 25 minute international call to cancel a flight booking. Refund takes 30 WORKING DAYS to process. Do yourself a favour and NEVER use them.
Travelgenio is a scam!
I booked a fligth from Kuala Lumpur - Sydney with a "Personalised Service" that, for 17 GBP would allow me to:
- request a special meal
- add a luggage
- book a sit
Well, in reality is not like that as they replied saying that, due to the duration of the flight (10 hours) the airline does not offer a meal option;
With regards to the luggage I can only book it at the airport paying an additional fee and booking the seat is also not allowed.
When I asked to be refunded due to the fact that none of my requests could be accepted they stopped replying to my emails.
I ended up loosing 17GBP and having to pay the luggage and the meal. Unbelievable!
I would really suggest avoiding this website for your booking.

I booked a flight from Singapore and received email confirmation. The money was immediately taken from my account plus a transaction fee as you took it in a different currency to SGD. The next day Travelgenio cancelled the booking (I assume because the flight was full) yet still kept the payment.
I have emailed twice and called your so-called customer service line in Singapore several times and the refund has still not been processed. Your agents were extremely rude on the telephone and one actually hung up on me. Refusal to confirm when the refund will be processed. Is this a scam company? I am appalled. I would like my refund processed and confirmation that it has been done ASAP!

I bought two tickets from travelgenio to come back from Portugal for me, celeste m santos and for my daughter Jessica m santos we had the date to depart on November 8th 2018 but my father passed away on November 7th 2018 so we had to stay for the funeral! I called travelgenio to let them know what had happened! They told me they need proof that my father had passed away and documents to prove that he was my father and also that he was my daughters grandfather! In order to receive credit to purchase the return flight ticket, So when they got all the necessary documents they told me they were just waiting for the airlines to send them the money! But it's been more than a year and they still haven't refund me the money for the tickets.

My flight was scheduled on the 4th December 2019 and was cancelled they said that they would process the refund within 60-90 days. Will they be paying me interest for that period? That is 1/4 of a year! I have never experienced something so poor in the business world.

It depends. If you have booking from point A to point B and airline not cancelling or altering your flight - happy days. Had flight booked via Travelgenio with SAS and everything was fine.
Bad luck came when I booked Cathay Pacific flight and airline cancelled it. Now it's 2 months trying to get a refund from Travelgenio. Started with ignoring requests, now they answering my emails but with the same automated message - refund takes up to 90 days. Contacted with Cathay Pacific and they told me that Travelgenio never requested my refund from them! And in case of refund from airline - it takes max 14 days. Not 90 days as Travelgenio telling. Very akward situation. I will wait another 30 days, as automated message saying and in case of no refund - I will open a claim to my bank/ mastercard - for A FRAUD TRANSACTION from Travelgenio.
I think legal action from EU regulator against this agency should be taken as soon as possible. Can't believe they operating from Madrid center under EU laws.

When a company has such consistently terrible reviews, you should know that something is badly wrong with them.
I booked a flight from Atlanta to Manchester for the 21st October with Travelgenio on the 16th September. I was away in the US from the 18th September.
On the 21st October, I caught the flight from Atlanta to Orlando, where I was due to get a connecting flight to Manchester. However, I could not find the airline I was due to check in with (I had looked up the flight online beforehand, but the site I used did not seem to register any change). Turns out that Travelgenio had booked my flight with Thomas Cook and that, during my absence in the US, Thomas Cook had gone out of business.
Travelgenio had not informed me of this fact. Had they done so, I could have arranged alternative travel plans well in advance. However, I was now stranded in Orlando, needing to get back to the UK, but without a flight to take me. The other airlines that had been flying Thomas Cook passengers back had ceased doing so a couple of weeks earlier. I tried to call Travelgenio. However, after waiting on the line for about ten minutes two times and being cut off without response it became clear that they were not going to help. I've not received any real help from their complaints either.
In the end I had a truly miserable travel experience and had to spend £786 to buy another ticket home, money I could not afford, but which I had to pay because Travelgenio failed to inform me of my cancelled flight. To compound matters, they have been exceedingly unhelpful in response to my complaints. I've used Travelgenio on four other previous occasionsI am a very frequent flyerbut will now avoid them, and strongly advise others to do the same.
I booked a flight last september and had to cancel them because i had an emergency surgery, i have to cancel from the airline where they booked my flight and they told me that they will make it as a voucher but i called to use them and they told me that they already re imbursed it to the travel agency which is travelgenio and never heard from this travel agency anymore i have emailed them and no response fron their costumer service... so sad that i really saved to pay for this trip and this is what happened

I've made plenty of bookings online but never come across this sort of company.
Received booking but not the E-Ticket cause payment did not go through.
Submitted request to cancel and moved on. So, I thought but NOOOOO!
Apparently the payment mode is running at the background and 6 hours later, I've received a sms from my bank saying that payment was declined earlier went through.
Horrified I called the line, its Singapore Country code +65 but the call operator said it's in Madrid.
Nvrtheless, the operator named Racheal said the system will keep prompting the payment for the next 24 hours, even after the decline. It's such a ludicrous excuse but she said she will cancel my ticket with the airline and refund, since I have a duplicate booking with the same airline from another agency.
But no news. Next thing I know, when I checked my Refund Status the following day, I received an email that no refund will be given.
All victims of Travelgenio should come together and claim our losses.
It's such a horrible site. Sky scanner should be pinalised as well for listing them on their apps, even after so many bad claims!

I do not recommend to book anything over Travelgenio, due to the fact that I´ve been waiting for my refund for 8 months. My flights got cancelled because the airline cancelled the flights, but Travelgenio is refusing to refund. They are not responding to my e-mail anymore and I am still fighting to get approx. 500 USD back with a lawyer. Watch out, it´s a scam!

Please do not do any bookings form here. They might have less price here as compared with other sites but do not fall in this trap! Just in case if you are cancelling your booking or the Airline/Hotel have cancelled it from their side, it will take ages to get the refund back.
My flight was cancelled by the airline itself, and for the refund process, they asked me to contact my travel agent which is Travengenio in this case. It has been more than 10 months since I am doing regular follow up with these guys and yet they are giving the same answer that my case is under investigation! I even contacted the airlines directly and, they have already refunded my money to travelgenio. The airline even mailed me the proof of the payment being refunded to travelgenio which I have shared with these guys, but still as per their reply, my case is under investigation.
It is not at all recommended to do business with travelgenio.

I am a regular traveler and I will never go with this company again. They changed my flight and told me it would be extra charge... I tried to contact them several times in email and no reply what so ever... i finally found a phone number to which i was placed on hold for over 40mins... the whole time i was on wait i checked the online travel schedule and my original flight was still on schedule... i was fuming... They Ripped me off another $200 ontop of the already ridiculous fare cost. I flew Egypt to Australia and in total is cost me $1500 Honestly! Who does this $#*!!

I read the reviews now, and found out I'm not the only victim of this company.
The worst experience ever, they scammed me for over ($500) as I was trying to purchase a ticket.
After I followed all the instructions on the website, the website showed me a message that (the payment wasn't approved, and the ticket is no longer available)
So I decided to book my ticket with Expedia, who responds instantly, and that was it.
Next day, I found that Travelgenio charged me for the ticket (that was no longer available)
I went to their website and tried to reach out and there was no phone number for the customer service note an email, just a box that you can write a question on!
I send them my request to refund the money and cancel the booking if any, they responded 7 DAYS LATER, saying that the booking was confirmed and a refund can't be made!
After more than 20 emails and back and forth with them there's absolutely nothing useful and no way to resolve this.
I ended up getting a refund of the tax only which is ($24) instead of ($511)
What a scam?!

Had a MASSIVE problem with this travel agency. The worst customer service I have ever seen. Got my flight cancelled because of a call where I was asking for prices if I cancelled it. They did not even send me an e-mail saying that my flight was cancelled and on their website was still confirmed. I discovered that it was cancelled one day before travelling when doing the online check-in and had NO assistance from them. Now I am trying to get my money back but as the customer service is a disaster, it's been a nightmare.

I booked a flight from Sri Lanka to Melbourne and unfortunately, I had to forgo my Sri Lanka trip due to unfortunate circumstances. They kept palming me off to speak to the airlines themselves if I can only travel the connecting flight (SG to MEL). I had to ring them twice. The second operator was very rude.
They are the travel agents who can speak to the airline industry team for any changes but they kept insisting I OBTAIN A STATEMENT from the airlines for an OK to issue a new ticket. This back and forth went on for a day. $1200 down the drain and you know what? No apologies. Nothing.
Stay away at all cost! They are absolutely painful to deal with!

I was left stranded in Rio de Janeiro after booking with Travelgenio. I did my booking on the 4th September 2019, on the 17th October, I arrived to the airline counter and I am told that I was not booked in the flight, neither in the connection flight. I was supposed to travel from Rio to Lisbon via Sao Paulo.
I called Travelgenio they said to be very sorry, but they couldn't do anything other than return my money. WOW! Thank you very much! Now I am at Rio Galeao airport and I have to return to Lisbon. I did pay 4300 reals with airfrance to return. Wonderful. My money? It's today the 21st of October and I haven't yet received it. I just wonder, if I didn't take that flight for any reason, like changing my mind, or been sick, or whatever, they will never return that money to me. I see it as a FRAUD!

I booked a flight to Japan (with Japan Airlines - JAL) for October 11th 2019 through travelgenio (travel2be).
My flight got cancelled due to the typhoon. The airline (JAL) notified me of the cancellation by email one day ahead of my flight, on October 10th.
Since then I called travel2be about 10 times to either re-book or get a refund and every time I get the same answer: that the airline didn't provide them the procedures and there's nothing they can do about it!
I contacted JAL and they said: "Japan Airlines has procedures in place which are accessible by any Travel agent to handle your rebooking".
They keep telling me that JAL didn't provide them the procedures, but WHY CAN'T THEM CONTACT THE AIRLINE?!?
How hard is it for them to contact JAL and ask for the procedures if JAL didn't provide them to them (even though JAL says they DID provide the procedures!)
It's been 4.5 days since my flight got cancelled and these guys didn't do ANYTHING to help me with this situation. I also asked to speak with a supervisor and their call agents told me that there's no supervisor there and that I should call back in 3 hours?!?
Never using these crooks again!
