Don't Use this Company!

They said they couldn't book a flight because of my credit card but charged me an high service on the same card. Decide for yourself if this is a scam!

Dear Peers, Would like to share my very bad experience with Travelgenio. Customer care promised to rebook my ticket but when i approached them with the confirmed date, now they are telling it is not possible to rebook. The worst part is they dont understand English properly. I had to spend INR ******* to rebook my return ticket. Wasted lot of money in calling them. Very bad customer service... request not to opt Travelgenio.

Booked a Qantas flight with Travelgenio. Couldn't make it that day. When I re booked my flight I learnt that Qantas has reimbursed the money to Travelgenio. I contacted Travelgenio over the phone and via email several times. Never ever did I got an answer and they just sacked the money in. My losses with them are $975.57.
DO NOT USE Travelgenio. It's a bunch of Thieves.

I booked a flight ticket through Travelgenio and I couldn't take my flight.
I asked them 10 days ago to pay me back the airport fee, what they have the obligation to do, and still no answer at all from the customer service.
I also try to call them 2 times and after waiting 10 minutes the line cut for no reason... shame
Don't use them and book directly through the flight company

They promise for refund however after 6 months they will never reply your email and hangup your phione calls when ask about the refund. Total scam amount 3000usd

Having booked my business flights to a conference, I was emailed several weeks later to say the schedule had changed - my outward bound flight now arrives 4 hours AFTER my return flight leaves. Oh, and I'll have to spend 3 days in Sydney airport. Oh, and the Travelgenio phone number? Good luck, I suspect this hasn't even got anyone at the other end. Yes, I've emailed "customer service" and as yet to receive anything back. Instead of answering phones, i think they spend most of their time on this website so i'm hoping they'll read this and contact me... Booking ref 3Q9V1E.

I had bought a insurance for my flight but eventually i had to cancel the return ticket and i asked for refund but they said they can't refund because i already took a flight. And they offers you two different insurance for two different ticket up and down. And if u buy one they don't get u refund! This is bull$#*! and so upsetting. Totally unsatisfying! I don't recommend this travelgenio to anyone to buy ticket. $#*! sake!

Very bad customer service
February 13, 2020

Very bad customer service, I sent a cancelation request 3 times on different dates before my flight departure from Taipei to Shanghai bc of the CoronaVirus outbreak. They never bothered to reply, so I wasn't able to cancel my flight before the take off, and now they refuse to help me with a refund. Their explanation was they had too many coronavirus related cases, so didn't have time to get back to me. I just can't justify their terrible customer service, and will never book with them again.

Anybody Home Travelgenio

Nobody answer your email, even three times of hot line enquire. 1.7 days before departure. Ok I refer your request to the ticket department. Nobody contact you. 2.3 days before departure. Ok your request to rebook the ticket is now followed by our another department. Don't worry. Your new ticket will be emailed to you. No email or message from Travelgenio 3.18 hours before departure, your request was rejected by Cathay Pacific you call CX directly. O how come you did not tell me earlier and nobody contact me if I have not called the hot line. Finally. CX change my booking at the last minutes. What kind of service provided by Travelgenio? No... So if you want to buy a airline ticket. You think about our experience. Nobody will take care you anymore.

FRAUD

My flight was changed to where i was 5 hrs ate to my connecting flight, I submitted a refund request it's been 5 months now and they kept on saying that it is the air company that is not refunding and as soon as they get the money from them they'll return it to me. Well I called the air company today and they said the refund was processed a few months back. When I called travelgenio they said there's nothing they can help me with and hung up on me!
Very frustrated!

We had to cancel a flight made within the 24 hour booking window. Per the travelgenio terms and conditions, Icelandair terms and conditions, and US law, the flight should be fully refundable within this 24 hour window. However, when we emailed earlier in the day, they responded with false information saying it could not be cancelled due to the non-refundable ticket (which per the above it false), and when we tried to call, we were hung up on 4 times before being able to speak with a representative. When we finally got through, she argued with us claiming it was a "within the same day policy" despite the terms and conditions clearly stating 24 hours, claimed we could cancel "with a penalty" but then claimed we could not cancel, and berated me for asking for the specific terms and conditions to justify what she was saying. She then told me she was wasting her time speaking to me and hung up on me without a refund. This agency is a scam who breaks their terms and conditions and US law, stay away at all costs.

The company airline changed our flights and we asked to cancel our tickets. In August they did it and they told us that within 30 days we would have received our money back. At the moment we are still waiting for an answer about our refund. In absence of a precise answer, we will no longer hesitate to contact our lawyer.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE
January 30, 2020

I booked a flight with the annulation and changes plus option, then i tried to change my flight and they are telling me that the change is possible as long as I pick the same airline company (condition i did not see written anywhere). I get upset and ask them for a refund (originally i paid 880euros) and now they tell me the refund is only for the ticket and not for the extras fees, and my refund will be taken for not 880 but 260 that is the actual price of the flight!

This company is awful, we all try to fly as cheap as we can but i 100% recommend to spend a little bit more and not have to deal with this company. Just pick any of their competitors that so far have not been as unprofessional as Travelgenio

Booked a trip to India in March. In October 2019 we were informed by e-mail that 1 flight was not confirmed. In November 2019 we were given the option between 2 other flights. This also turned out not to have been confirmed the last minute. Travelgenio has no other flight for us and they said we will get the money back from the tickets within 3 months. Exactly at 3 months we receive an email that we do not get the money back. We are talking about 2550 euros here. We want our money back. If not, we will take steps. If necessary media and press

Awful service with contradictory answers and no solution.

I booked a return flight for four people - two of them having the same name. Travelgenio reservation system added a suffix "Jr" to one of the passengers, while "Jr" is not in the passport. All this WITHOUT us putting "JR" in the reservation! The airline informed me that that passenger will be denied boarding.

I have been trying to solve this issue with Travelgenio for a month now, no luck and no answer from their customer service. The airline in question is waiting for Travelgenio to get in touch and solve the problem as they are the only one who could, however, nothing is being done. My parents, who are travelling with me and know no foreign language, are in bad luck because of Travelgenio's mistake I will not be able to travel with them shall this not get fixed soon.

Steer clear if you don't want to lose money on someone else's mistake - this one is going to cost me about 1500.

Never again.

Hi Milos, names are issued as introduced by passengers during the booking process as it is an authomatic process.The airlines have differing policies regarding changes to names. Avoid at all cost!

Avoid buying tickets via travelgenio.com at all cost. I bought flight tickets on their site. On every page there was a discount. I have accepted the "total price" and they have blocked 100 euro extra from my account, then charged it (that's why I didn't get sms from bank to confirm the price). I tried to explain this "mistake" with their support. It took me 2 weeks to explain it to them but they didn't want to refund me the price difference, according to them, everything is correct. So it wasn't a mistake, it was a fraud! I totally don't recommend this company.

Stay away!

The booking site is the worst booking site EVER! Stay far far far away from them!

Those guys are just scams... Worst experience ever!

I tried to make a booking at their site and at the payment procedure the system informed me that due to errors the booking cancelled. So I booked successfully from another agent (it more expensive price about 40 euros).

30 minutes later I 've got a confirmation from them informing me that the booking is OK! (even though I got the error at the confirmation). WTF!

As you understand, I had already booked elsewhere and now i have 2 tickets with the same flight and the same names!

As it would be natural, I contacted them and asked them to cancel and refund the tickets since its their fault.

The responsible approach (as you may think) would be to proceed with the cancellation... but NO! (keep in mind that I had booked elsewhere in a more expensive cost)

They kept telling me bull... it about the Airline doesn't give them authorization to cancel (as it would be the carriers fault) and they can't do anything about it.

At some point I understand that those people are amateurs and there's no meaning to argue with them (you can't fight stupidity no matter how hard you try) and any try for solving this it is a futile fight...

Luckily (yeah right) I had purchased cancellation insurance (for 85 EUR) for the 85% of the trip cost (~365 EUR). So, I asked them to use it, and get at least some refund.
BUT NO!
Even the fact that the insurance contract clearly states (I have the PDF) that it covers 85% of the trip cost they offered me an insurance refund of 80 EUR! (Less than the cost of the insurance!) telling me that there is a cancellation penalty, they had to deduct ALL taxes and minus this. And minus that. (of course, this wasn't mentioned anywhere, even at the contract) Nice huh? (loose loose situation for me)

The point is, even that it was their fault they never really tried to solve the issue, they constantly given the "canned" response of "sorry for the inconvenience".

Bottom line? Stay away! There are a lot of serious and professionals out there and those guys are surely NOT among them.

They are transaction criminals doing business on the name of travel. Never reply to any email. If you call it takes half an our to understand your problem even then they say they cant help you. They could not change my surname on my tickets even contacting them 3 weeks before flying. Finally the airline denied boarding and i lost my trip. They also misbehavior on the call.
