My orders have been cancelled time & time again. I called my bank to check on my credit card & they had flagged it for suspicious vendors. Now tophatters has blocked me from buying anything. I even had a computer analysis done to see if I had a problem with my computer, nothing that would have caused my orders to be cancelled.
I love shopping. And at tophatter you can get what you want at one place. I can always find everything I need. Love the jewerly. Sometimes it takes a little time to get here, but it makes it. If you want to have fun shopping, go to tophatters. TY.

I successfully bid on three items. After the first winning bid, I received a message that the purchase was CANCELLED (by TopHatter, not me). This CANCELLATION was followed by two more successful bids, which were subsequently CANCELLED by TopHatter. As a result of "excessive cancellations", I was locked out for 24 hours. After the 24-hours, not my fault, I bid on another item, and WON. Again, it was CANCELLED, by TopHatter, and I was again locked out for another 24-hours. The CSR informed me that she had no ability, at her end, to override the CANCELLATIONS which were done by TopHatter. It was suggested that I try another method of payment, such as PayPal. This is ludicrous since I have had 27 prior successful transactions since May 9,2017, all without any problem.

Purchased bracelet and a ring from tophatter. Their valution/price was usd $1,200 on bracelet. For insurance purposes took jewellery to be valued. Was advised not worth valuing them - expect some discrepancy in valuation to their pricing but not to find item completely worthless.

When a seller decides not to honor the bid because it's too low for the product, tophatter should back the buyer up by suspending the sellers account. My purchase said refunded combined shipping credit when there was not even a combined Shipment it was just a B. S. Excuse not to sell the item. Don't buy anything from Aaron!

Our system automatically penalizes the seller limiting their ability to schedule items for auction if this does occur. This automation limits the need for further action from the buyer.

The first two items I ever bought from this site never showed up. USPS wrote that they delivered them in or at the mailbox. Three more items pending, The item delivered today has the same problem. I doubt that I'll see items four and five either. I will never waste another penny on Tophatter. Too much BS.

I and my husband order a few things from her over a month ago and still not received. And other things we order get here in no time flat coming from the same destination. While other things ordered got here well be for the delivery date, which is great.
Why does TopHatter refuse to pass on questions about a product to the seller?
They are giving themselves and the seller a bad name, when the problem might be easily resolved with contact.
Gift World, I hope you check SiteJabber also, whoever you are! If you are not a fraudulent seller, I am sure you would want all issues resolved.
The response received from Tophatter just confirms their stance on trying to get assistance from a seller. Surely it is in their interest and the seller's interest to have satisfied customers.
A buyer should expect problems to be resolved and the seller given the opportunity to answer the problem. By the way, the seller was Gift World, who may well be a respectable and reliable seller. I am sure they would be anxious to resolve the problem, if they knew about it! ( I have no other way of trying to get assistance).
By the way, I have purchased over 100 items from Tophatter. I still purchase, but avoid any technical items that may need contact with the seller to resolve issues.
If you are buying technical items, do not expect any assistance to resolve a problem.
NO supplier assistance is available, and the only option offered is the return of the goods. Instructions can be minimal, and incomplete, making it impossible to resolve what might be just a simple procedural problem. As the cost of returning the item is often prohibitive, it just leaves you frustrated and out of pocket.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
