The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in its engaging auction format and a diverse range of products that some users find enjoyable and affordable. Many appreciate the responsive customer service, which has been effective in addressing issues and facilitating refunds. However, significant concerns persist regarding product quality, with numerous complaints about receiving damaged or inferior items. Additionally, customers have reported frustrations with order cancellations and difficulties in the returns process. Overall, while the platform offers a fun shopping experience, it must improve product reliability and support to enhance customer satisfaction.

U want me to rate u, I paid for my item back in mid August and I haven't gotten it yet. I haven't got an update either. The site u sent me to is blank. Give me my purchase and maybe I'll give u a better rating.
I am new on tophatter and have already ordered a few items. Sorry to say that for the price we pay, the items are pretty cheap. I payed 43$ for an Android tablet, I was so dissapointment on how cheap the tablet was. The screen so so dark that you can barely see anything, even when ajusted light to max. I also ordered the case with keyboard for the tablet... mistake, the key board doesn't even stay in the case. I have not yet recieved the smart watch, anxious to see how that will turn out. On a more satisfying point, I love the garage lights that I ordered...
Been good so far but needs sellers to be more honest with what they are selling.
I received my tablet and found nude picture of a child in another country they didn't delete there photos stupid and sick i done paying for cheep $#*! and used the bug zapper never worked im just disgusted with the site over 400$ of junk
Some items smaller than I thought but great products! Very pleased with tophatter!
The biggest is items not being delivered. Items not as shown or as described. Poor quality if the item is as shown. It's all crap! Just junk!
I ordered something but it never mentioned I had to wait 1 month for it to arrive from China. I thought it was UK.
This is upsetting - can things be clearer please.
Some products are not what they appear to be. Some stuff I ordered never come do to reasons of out of products, then they shouldn't go up for auction if you are out of stock.
I PLACED AN ORDER, I PAID FOR THE ORDER, BUT THE ORDER DID NOT COME.
I AM ONLY LEAVING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE I WAS SENT AN EMAIL ASKING ME TO REVIEW MY EXPERIENCE.
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT... NOT HAPPY UNFORTUNATELY
I have tried to log back into Tophatter numerous times. It says my password is incorrect. OK. It then says it is sending me a new password. It doesn't. It then says to contact the tech support team which leads back to the sign in screen for which I need a password! I may never get back on the site.
I won an auction for a heart shaped ring the description of the ring stated it was 14k white gold the ring I received was a ugly star shaped ring it not white gold it looks like it came out of a gun ball machine
I like the prices on Tophatter but some things could be improved on. For example, I sometimes feel harassed when every few hours I receive a text message telling me to pay my invoice. I know I haven't paid it, I would be working on a survey for the site to earn credits that you advertised for me, and I get interrupted by those texts. One should be enough.
Also, I feel that because the site is used by American people, it should mandate that manufacturers from other countries resize their clothes to fit American bodies if they want to sell their products to us. I am so tired of receiving clothes that don't fit me because of the conversion. How would I have a way of knowing that my size is actually about five sizes better than their largest size?
In closing I want to address the lack of quality control for the products being sent. I buy from TOPHATTER, not the company sending me a broken item, a item entwined with foreign hair, or an item with missing parts. The fact that some products are of low quality sold under your name reflects badly on you, and I have really toned down my shopping because of the duds I have received. Please try to do better.
I gave it 1 star because it wouldn't go through with no stars. I sent payment long ago and still have not received my order and now Tophatter is stupid enough to ask me for a review. Yep ok That about sums it up.
I have enjoyed my experiences of bidding, winning, and receiving the items. Tophatter responded to my questions that I have posted to them very quickly, and satisfactory.
Some great bargains some better than others the little cash bonuses are very handy and there's also post free on many items
Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems
Answer: You have to read the descriptions. It will tell you if it's real or plated.
Answer: Do not deal with this company,,, all jewelery is crap n cheap
Answer: Tophatter will screw you over. Shop Amazon or overstock.
Answer: Good luck! Tophatter rippes off the sellers so they are not going to be very likely to return your money.
Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
Answer: Yes! Sale of counterfeit items is prohibited. If you are concerned about the authenticity of an item purchased on the platform, you may return it for up to 30 days from delivery. See full details on our return policy here: http://tinyurl.com/h7xokwj.
