I am unable to use any of my credit cards for payment (there is nothing wrong with my accounts) but now the only option I have to pay for the "wins" I acquire I have to use PayPal and they charge me a $1.00 fee each and every time I purchase something. $1.00 may not seem like much when you buy as often as I have been lately, it adds up.
Wish it would post negative reviews as well as good reviews, some of the toys are in cm, instead of inches which are sometimes misleading by pictures, get disappointed when i pay 10.00 for something that is about 4 inches, but alot of products do explain and tell you to order sizes up, which is good

I enjoy the bidding experience shopping at top hatter. I have issues with the sometimes extreme shipping costs some on some of your items, especially when it was free shipping the day before. But all in all you made it worth while with the ability to cancel those items bid on and won with the high shipping. So im a satisfied return shopper and would recommend your site.
Since I became a Tophatter shopper a couple of years ago I have been satisfied. Some of the product seems made of cheap materials but most is satisfactory for the prices. I can remember purchasing some toys for Christmas 2017 and thinking they would be duds for my nephew and niece. But they were ecstatic because the local stores were out and they wanted them.
I have found the experience very excillarating. I would like to recommend that the length of time to receive the product is to long. Faster deliveries would be better.
Apple Laptop, I received last night, after open the item I'm very disappointed, it was used & dirty. After opened 2 other items the quality was made out of very cheap plastic.

You have to be wary. Some of the items were very disappointing. However, it is difficult to complain about merchandise that Is won at auction for $20 or less. The site makes it fun and interesting (they have a wheel to spin which becomes cash). Great return policies. Overall, it is a good and interesting experience.

I would ratherl eave no stars... they punish buyers when they complain about an item purchased from their sellers. They suspend accounts and do nothing to the sellers that false advertise to sale products... avoid this pos company and go to ebay or somewhere else... this company needs to be shut down for false advertisements and crappy products from china

I have bid and won hundreds of items from Tophatter and most of them have been good. But several items have not received, do not work or sizes were too small. Also, delivery times could be months. Several items have been broken or are hard to work and did not come with instructions, or if there are instructions they are not in English. Otherwise, I would recommend and have recommended Tophatter to everyone of my friends and family and will continue to do so. He also will continue to bid and when a lot more items! (Lol)
I like Tophatter been using it for about 2 years for silly things and stocking stuffers. However if your item never arrives on time it kind of make it useless. Right now I have 9 late items. Some are almost 3 weeks over due. If you file a late item report it can be another two months before you get considered for a refund. One item due on Sept 23rd will not be reviewed for refund until Nov 9th?! This site is falling apart. Between items not arriving and low bids (no reserve) getting refunded without explanation, my advice would be to stay away from this site.
I'm updating this because my late items have gotten up to 18. Lately I've been getting more items refunded for non-delivery that I've actually been receiving. The point of an auction site is not to give somebody your money for 2 to 2 1/2 months and have them hand it back, I would actually like to get the items I bet on, and if your sellers can't do that you should remove them from your site. The reason for a refund I get from Tophatter is "no legitimate tracking information from seller". Which means the sellers are putting out both false tracking information and false delivery notices. If you check a week or two later the sellers are still on the site. Also, when shopping one of these sites you understand that the sellers tend to stretch the truth of the description. Lately the items I've been receiving, the description's a flat out lie. Definitely done bidding on this site, hopefully I'll get some of the items that I'm still waiting on. Also, for the record I never did see that item from Sept. 23rd that I referenced earlier.
Most of the items are extremely low-quality. The auction is NOT REAL. If your winning bid is too low, sellers routinely cancel your bid and refund your payment AS A CREDIT ON THE WEBSITE.
Dozens of items are just a huge SCAM. Thumb drives that won't pass a memory test. Cameras that claim resolutions they are incapable of. Motion-activated devices that don't activate. Devices that simply don't work or arrive broken. Rings described as "14K Yellow Gold" that are really PLATED, FILLED, GOLD TONE.
Just read the reviews for yourself on items such as "Infrared Thermometer" or "Sewing Machine" to see how customers were disgusted by cheap, defective, non-working, or broken devices.
Also, read the descriptions carefully, the pictures don't accurately represent the items being sold. Such as a picture of a wrench set, when only 1 wrench is being sold.
Good devices sold elsewhere for far less are routinely bid up to double, triple or more on TopHatter.
Delivery times are atrocious. Items often arrive 8 to 16 weeks after paying.
Before buying anything on this website, compare similar items on eBay, or elsewhere. Most items sold on TopHatter are highly overbid or cheaply made copies

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
